ItalyThe staff really exceeded our expectations. They were always taking care of us even for the smallest things. They also organise excursions, restaurants suggestions and reservations and sometimes they organise Mauritian dinner (very good!!!). The breakfast buffet was rich and various with many options (sweet and savory) and a lot of fruits. The swimming pool was always clean. Additionally, they have a night guard providing a big sense of security. Private parking is available.

I loved everything! We did the all inclusive package and boy was it worth. Endless food and drinks which includes 4 restaurants to choose from. From the moment we arrived we were treated like queens. Rooms great with stunning view. Minibar is filled every day. My mom had a mini accident on our second day there. Great doctor on site and we were checked on every day after that. We hardly left the resort because it had everything we needed. Great activities as well that is included. I loved it. Recommending it to everyone. As a animal lover I also loved that they look after some stray dogs, as the island has a lot of them.

It was our first all inclusive experience for our family so we are a bit biased as we discovered the joy of no need to care about anything except existential questions like what restaurant to go to or which activities to do for the day. We were particularly impressed by the caring and friendliness of the staff. They do everything to make you feel comfortable and enjoying your stay. And very flexible too. Big kudos to the bbq restaurant staff (Mike and team) for the exceptional service as well as the chef and staff of the Thai restaurant. All in all an exceptional experience. We will certainly come back.

We liked the always well-kept surroundings of the hotel, the garden, private beach and pool, full-body massage, very tasty breakfasts and dinners, music program, peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff. The room was cozy, clean, with a nice view of the garden and the ocean. We were there from 3.9. until 11.9. and the weather was excellent, lots of sunshine and only a few short showers. The temperature during the day was approximately 27-30 degrees Celsius. At night it was around 22-25 degrees Celsius.

Spotlessly clean and beautifully designed. Every piece of furniture is comfortable! The beach is lovely and the bar area and beach restaurant were places we enjoyed spending a lot of time.
All the staff are polite, relaxed and so accommodating. Really made our stay feel more relaxed and special.
The restaurants are nice and the buffet is of excellent quality.

The breakfast was elaborately thought of. We enjoyed the individual fruit platter, the freshly-made pancakes, the chocolate croissants, the delicious omelette, the hot tea/coffee... all served impeccably and with a smile to go with it. The receptionist was an affable young lady who made us feel at ease as soon as we set foot in the hotel.

Trou aux Biches is one of my favourite beaches in Mauritius. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear, calm, and perfect for swimming. It’s an ideal spot for relaxing and admiring the sunset.
The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it suitable for couples, families, and solo visitors.
With easy access to nearby restaurants, food stalls, and facilities, Trou aux Biches Beach offers the perfect balance between natural beauty and convenience. A must-visit beach when in Mauritius.

Short tips: Take your meds for allergies.
Short tips: Take your meds for allergies. I had a allergy day 1 and it really spoils the fun. The nurse Sarista is really amazing there but you don't want to struggle. TAKE MEDS to prevent.
Pack your running shoes. The gym is GREAT or go for a jog, because you eat a lot.
Bring a digestive and or something for indigestion and heartburn. You eat a LOT!
Don't forget your SPF.
Dress up clothes for the evenings. You would want to look smart at dinner. There is something about the events and atmosphere at night.

We had a wonderful stay at Rate Pereybere Beach Paradise. Roshini was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The apartment itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a home away from home. It’s equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, and while a dishwasher would be a welcome addition, we honestly couldn’t find fault with anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the perfect beachside getaway.

Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

The beach of Mon Choisy is a long sunny sandy beach nice for swimming. During October to March it is hot there but the sea is great for swimming. However during these months some cyclones may also visit the Island ! Other months are also sunny and the climate are cooler around 24c during the day. In weekdays the beach is calm and it is not crowded. However during Sundays and public holidays locals are there and it is very crowded but as it is a long beach there is still some space for everyone. On Sundays expect loud music from loudspeakers by some picknickers though there is law about it but it is rarely respected. There are also many stray dogs on the beach but they are not aggresive.

It was a disappointment from day one.
It was a disappointment from day one.
After we realized that the proposed and booked room didn’t match reality, (had no kitchenette, no private entrance and no fireplace) .
Hotel staff was ok, but not great.
Recorded two incidents where dead insects where at the dining area and beside food at the open kitchen in the restaurant.
General manager never spoke with us, staff apologized and gave us an upgrade to all inclusive from our half board booking (breakfast and Dinner).
Overall an ok experience but clearly no 5 stars. More like 3 stars. We also stayed at Le meridien in Dubai, which is a different league and much much better and customers friendly than Mauritius.
We were happy when we left the place in Mauritius and won’t recommend Le Meriden there to anyone.

There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices.
The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.

Roches Noires is a nice place. Keep in mind that in our summer (july / august) it is winter over there and the east coast will have a constant breeze (up to 4 BFT).
Having a rental car we found that almost all of the days we would drive to the west or south coast as there is no wind on that side during their winter.
