The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will answer all your questions and make all your wishes come true - want to arrange a private tour? They will organize it! Want a transfer to the airport, but the check-out time for the room is later than your transfer? No problem, they will look after your things and you have the opportunity to stay on the hotel grounds until departure. In Montenegro, cash is preferred (almost everywhere "cash only"), but in the hotel you can pay by card. The pool creates the illusion that you are swimming in the sea, which is very convenient when the beach is crowded or you want to swim a little in the evening, without worrying about the pebbles on the beach. I highly recommend massages! The price and quality of the massage are definitely worth it, in two sessions the masseuse completely relaxed and straightened my problematic back, for which I am immensely grateful to her. I highly recommend this hotel to those who want to experience the best holiday by the sea with a share of relaxation and the feeling of luxury. Holidays in Ponta Plaza were truly a holiday, I did not have to worry about anything. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

As someone who Is many years in a hospitality business I have to say I was impressed with every single department. Starting communication with FOM Marija was just so smooth. It is a beautiful hotel with great facilities. Perfectly located on the Kotor Bay, it is a 10-12 minute drive to Kotor Old Town, so it is away from the crowd and yet accessible. There is a City market right outside the hotel, should you need to pick up any necessities. We stayed at the room with a hot tub in the balcony and the view from the room was stunning. The hotel was a very good spa and wellness centre with professional staff and an indoor pool with stunning views of the sea. They also have a semi-private beach, outsiders could enter but we only encountered hotel guests during our stay. There are sun beds laid out and the water is perfect and calm for a swim. Everything within the hotel is impeccably done up and given they are in the process of being integrated with the Hyatt group there is a lot of renovation work underway, which I am sure will only make the property more magnificent. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast spread was amazing. They have free valet parking for guests. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Really liked the small old town in Budva.

Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. There are lots of small food places there (selling pizza, sandwiches, byreks, cakes), which is great and absent in lots of these type of places.

Lovely city.

Lovely city. Beautiful and you can explore it as much or as little as you like. Beautiful scenery. Not fully pushchair friendly though. But it is an old town that was built long before pushchairs were invented. We did a day exploring with baby in the pushchair and then another day with the baby in the carrier so we could access more areas. Loads of shops, places to eat and drink. Been for the last 3 years in a row because we love it so much.

After spending some time in Tivat, living near Porto Montenegro — I can say it’s one of the most pleasant places I’ve stayed. The living here combines the best of a small coastal town and a lively, comfortable city. You get the sea, the yachts, the walking promenade, beautiful views of the bay and mountains — all just minutes from your apartment. Shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and everyday amenities are right nearby, making life easy and convenient. The climate, the sea breeze, the calm rhythms of life and friendly locals create a sense of peace and balance. It’s a perfect place if you want to be productive and at the same time enjoy relaxed Mediterranean living. For me — it’s a spot where hustle and comfort meet, where work and lifestyle find a smart balance. Tivat near Porto Montenegro feels like home and inspiration at the same time.

I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty! I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded. My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

I visited both Tivat and Kotor, but the Herceg Novi area is definitely the best place to stay around the Bay of Kotor: the most beautiful, cleanest, calmest, nicest vibe, better price level (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, etc.).

Ulcinj beach area is for the most part quite dirty and littered. There are people prepared to scam you readily. We did like the fortress area and found a cleaner beach near there (Liman Beach) that we quite liked.

Sutomore is a cozy and fairly quiet town, without much nightlife or loud activities — a great place for those who prefer a calm seaside rest. Just a small tip for travelers arriving from the airport: be careful when choosing a taxi, and it’s safer to use official ones.

Smaller town with most facilities closed from mid October (9th-15th). A few eating places open and lots of accommodation had been closed up or closed down? The beach was pleasant although clearing if bins, etc seemed to be a bit erratic. The sea was clean and very pleasant to swim in. We had a car and easily travelled to Bar, Starri Bar, Lake Skadar and the coast further south.

The area of Becici was great for a nice beach holiday. I didn’t like that every beach seemed to be allocated to a Hotel and we had to pay €30 for two beach lounges, but this was everywhere and I guess, just how it is done everywhere. We had a hire car so we were able to also visit Kotor, Tivat, Sveti Stefan and other areas, which were all within an easy drive. The exception being the major roadworks on the E65/80 to Tivat, but these will likely be completed by next summer.

Overall, a great place, every recommendation for the hotel.

Overall, a great place, every recommendation for the hotel. Great stuff, great food. Beautiful place, a lot of attention paid to nature. I was particularly impressed by the olive trees in the yard, and the attention paid to their preservation.
