PolandEverything was clean and tidy. Hotel stuff was exceptionally helpful and nice. Everyday or every 2 days stuff gave us new sets of towels. Breakfast was tasty and there were a lot of options. One of the most unexpected and appreciated thing was fact that after asking for plant milk to coffee, hotels kitchen said they don’t have it but the next day they informed us that if we want coffee with plant milk they bought it 😊. Location of the hotel was pretty good. We had close to markets, beach and restaurants. To sum up we really recommend this place to everyone.

PolandWe spent wonderful two weeks in Montenegro, staying the entire time at Hotel Velkom. It is run by exceptionally warm and kind hosts who treat their guests with genuine care. We felt truly special throughout our stay. We had everything we needed here for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. It’s not often that we build such a lovely relationship with our hosts as we did here, which only confirms that this place is truly unique. The language barrier was never an issue - we enjoyed chatting with the hosts every day and learning many words in Montenegrin, and whenever needed, their son communicated perfectly in English.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sutomore, in a quiet area just a few hundred meters from the lively tourist center of town (which was a deliberate choice on our part - it only took 10 minutes to get there and grab something to eat). In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing on the spacious balcony with a breathtaking view of the entire bay, the town, the mountains, and the sunsets. We truly felt like we were living in luxury. On rest days, we made use of the hotel pool and the area around it, where we spent time comfortably. Just a 2-minute walk away, there were also several small public beaches, peaceful and perfect for relaxing in silence.
For breakfast, we especially loved the delicious Montenegrin priganice, freshly made by the host himself. We could eat them endlessly… The hotel also offers an underground garage (at street level), with an elevator that takes you directly from there. It’s also worth mentioning that the rooms and the shared spaces are clean, and the Wi-Fi works very well.
Excellent value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect as a base for exploring all of Montenegro. A big advantage is the convenient and affordable train and bus connections to many towns. We recommend visiting Stari Bar, Petrovac na Moru, Sveti Stefan, Budva, Kotor, and Ulcinj.

Apartments are on a great location (near the supermarket as well as the city center and bigger beaches). Location is quiet and peaceful, a perfect place to rest outside of the city's turmoil. Both the owner and the cleaning lady were very kind, informative and welcoming. Owner helped us find the way to the apartment (Google maps don't navigate you all the way). We were given a free parking place in the shade within the complex. Atmosphere is relaxed, home-like. We were given an extra day free of charge. Pools are very clean, water is regularly changed. Sunset view from the pool is just magnificent. Good quality free WiFi is available throughout the premises. There are enough sunbeds available (both next to the pool and on the private beach). Furniture was a bit dated, but nevertheless comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and functional. Outside grill is available free of charge.
All in all - we had a great time and would definitely come again!

The season doesn't start at full swing until 1st June. We had the property to ourselves ( group of 9) between 25-31 May. We were upgraded to top floor apartment for no extra charge. The sunset views are amazing. The views from the backyard are stunning. The swimming pool is great for young guest and the older ones too. Five minutes walk from the beach. New, lovely members of staff look after guests and the place at the highest standards. I have holiday blues already...

Lovely, small (8 rooms) hotel located away from the more noisy city. We were greated with a smile by a very friendly staff in the hotel and in the restaurant. Restaurant food was really nice with a twist compared to what you might be used to in hotel restaurants (in fact the restaurant was not really owned by the hotel). Comfy beds in a spacious apartment. Small, private and quiet beach just below the hotel.

The hotel is great. The stuff was very nice and helpfull. The room was cleaned every day. In the room we have not only bedroom and bathroom but also the living room and extermely big balcony with the see view. Hotel is located near to the beach, and very good taste restaurant. The greatest advantages of the hotel is the SPA included in the price :)

I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial,...
I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty!
I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded.
My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

Sutomore is a cozy and fairly quiet town, without much nightlife or loud activities — a great place for those who prefer a calm seaside rest. Just a small tip for travelers arriving from the airport: be careful when choosing a taxi, and it’s safer to use official ones.

Smaller town with most facilities closed from mid October (9th-15th). A few eating places open and lots of accommodation had been closed up or closed down?
The beach was pleasant although clearing if bins, etc seemed to be a bit erratic. The sea was clean and very pleasant to swim in.
We had a car and easily travelled to Bar, Starri Bar, Lake Skadar and the coast further south.

Aggressive boat trip sales people. Knocked on window as we were driving through. We were booked to do a boat tour and ended up cancelling in favour of a private boat tour by Apartments Pajovic instead.

It is a small place crowded with cars and people. First of all it is dirty and untidy, rubish all over the place. We got stomach flu because of it. The nature is great but it's a pitty people have ruined it.

Šušanj is on the coast, you will have a good view from the terraces of most houses. The beach is long with several rows of beautiful pine trees 10-15 meters from the sea along the entire length of the beach, this creates beautiful natural shadows, the beach is good, in some parts with finer sand or smaller stones, the only anomaly for some may be that there are large stones in the sea. There are two restaurants on the beach, and 50 meters away there are several well-stocked shops with normal everyday prices and also several restaurants and an excellent pizzeria

It is a small village and a big part of it is touristic.
It is a small village and a big part of it is touristic. The upper village parts are local and look nicer. The beach is okay, and it is possible to be there without renting chairs by buying a big umbrella in one of the shops. The village has a number of restaurants but outside of the main season no ATM machine. Super markets are closed on Sundays, and prices are reasonable.

I’ve been to Sutomore more than once… and I think I’m officially in love with this place! 💙 The beach is amazing, the sea feels like warm soup, the sun seems to shine just for us, and the vibe? 100% stress-free zone! 😎
If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge and forget all your worries – Sutomore is the one. Highly recommended – and yes, my suitcase is already half-packed for the next visit! 😄✈️🌊

The coast is beautiful and perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sunsets. We liked the fact you could walk all the way from our apartment to the town. It's very touristy in town and the town itself wasn't particularly special, but we enjoyed the reasonably priced bars and restaurants as well as some jetskiing.
