MontenegroThe rooms were extremely clean. There is no carpeting, just tiles, and you could tell they were freshly cleaned. The smell of a clean room was so lovely, I really like when hotel rooms smell like that.
The staff was very open, communicative and will go out of their way to help you out while also being easy-going. Love their vibe.
The breakfast was exceptional. Delicious food that could feed an army.
It's also very nice that there was a private parking, which is very convenient.

SerbiaGreat hotel and amazing personnel. I enjoyed the stay very much, the girls at the reception were very supportive and helpful, the restaurant has breathtaking view and the food is decent. The room was clean, quiet and spacious, I also visited the spa which was pretty loaded on Saturday evening, but I still got in and enjoyed. Though the massage should be booked in advance, just keep this in mind especially on the weekend. The location is great, just a couple of minutes walk to the main attractions and to the waterfall hike. They also provide an option for a late check out for half the price which is very handy for those leaving Bar by the evening train.

PolandWe spent wonderful two weeks in Montenegro, staying the entire time at Hotel Velkom. It is run by exceptionally warm and kind hosts who treat their guests with genuine care. We felt truly special throughout our stay. We had everything we needed here for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. It’s not often that we build such a lovely relationship with our hosts as we did here, which only confirms that this place is truly unique. The language barrier was never an issue - we enjoyed chatting with the hosts every day and learning many words in Montenegrin, and whenever needed, their son communicated perfectly in English.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sutomore, in a quiet area just a few hundred meters from the lively tourist center of town (which was a deliberate choice on our part - it only took 10 minutes to get there and grab something to eat). In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing on the spacious balcony with a breathtaking view of the entire bay, the town, the mountains, and the sunsets. We truly felt like we were living in luxury. On rest days, we made use of the hotel pool and the area around it, where we spent time comfortably. Just a 2-minute walk away, there were also several small public beaches, peaceful and perfect for relaxing in silence.
For breakfast, we especially loved the delicious Montenegrin priganice, freshly made by the host himself. We could eat them endlessly… The hotel also offers an underground garage (at street level), with an elevator that takes you directly from there. It’s also worth mentioning that the rooms and the shared spaces are clean, and the Wi-Fi works very well.
Excellent value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect as a base for exploring all of Montenegro. A big advantage is the convenient and affordable train and bus connections to many towns. We recommend visiting Stari Bar, Petrovac na Moru, Sveti Stefan, Budva, Kotor, and Ulcinj.

SwitzerlandWe had a very nice time at Regina del Mar. The place is spotless and decorated with lots of taste. The owner was there for any questions and was very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff was discreet and thoughtful. We were given beach towels and four beach chairs at the front line which was wonderful. And of course the location right on the water and at the end of a super lovely bay made our vacation here unforgettable. We will be back!

SwitzerlandI arrived very late and was very tired, but the super friendly welcome from the receptionist made me feel very welcomed and lightened up my mood significantly. The room and breakfast was quite nice as well. I particularly liked the shower.

Wow and well, where do I begin. This is categorically, definitely an indubitably the best hotel we have ever stayed at ever. 💓❤️🔥 We have stayed at many hotels over our travels and this by far is the best. 😊👍It's not just the best because of the hotel itself, the rooms are impeccable and also the best room we've ever stayed in with the most beautiful views of the sea and a double balcony. Not just for the amazing spas and swimming pools here. It is truly for the level of care, kindness and love shown by everybody who works here. I don't truly know where to begin with our "thank yous" for everyone. 💞Firstly Jovana, David and Jasmina on the front desk and everybody else who works there, Tijana, Elza and Svetlana (for her wonderful massage too) and to the bar/restaurant staff and maids (with the best cocktails) and Igor, Andrea, Milica, Milena and Anna and to the chef Stefan (who cooked us THE best Sea food platter we have ever eaten), the managers and everybody else I may have missed, sorry if I did. You all deserve a raise in salary and are by far the best team individually and as a group! 😁😁😁💞You have made our stay the best ever.❤️🔥 We were only staying for a short while but stayed longer because of you all, your care and love, compassion, kindness and help have all been amazing. The season doesn't start at full swing until 1st June. We had the property to ourselves ( group of 9) between 25-31 May. We were upgraded to top floor apartment for no extra charge. The sunset views are amazing. The views from the backyard are stunning. The swimming pool is great for young guest and the older ones too. Five minutes walk from the beach. New, lovely members of staff look after guests and the place at the highest standards. I have holiday blues already...

All the staff make you feel like at home. Although it is not the season, great service and all the staff are extremely concerned, we especially thank you very much to Dina and the cook, come here for the first opportunity without thinking, you won't regret it

Located right on the beach, I was travelling with 3 y.o daughter and there was a lot of children playground nearby, she was really happy. Hotel has 2 swimming pools, 1 outside, and 1 inside - it has temperature control 28•C, but for us it was still cold, outside was 20•C. The sea was also still cold in the beginning of May.

The hotel staff were really nice. Ms Maja at the reception was the kindest and most helpful. But also everyone else were super friendly, all waiters at the breakfast and even every house maid.
Really great team!

I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty!
I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded.
My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

Sutomore is a cozy and fairly quiet town, without much nightlife or loud activities — a great place for those who prefer a calm seaside rest. Just a small tip for travelers arriving from the airport: be careful when choosing a taxi, and it’s safer to use official ones.

Smaller town with most facilities closed from mid October (9th-15th). A few eating places open and lots of accommodation had been closed up or closed down?
The beach was pleasant although clearing if bins, etc seemed to be a bit erratic. The sea was clean and very pleasant to swim in.
We had a car and easily travelled to Bar, Starri Bar, Lake Skadar and the coast further south.

Aggressive boat trip sales people. Knocked on window as we were driving through. We were booked to do a boat tour and ended up cancelling in favour of a private boat tour by Apartments Pajovic instead.

It is a small place crowded with cars and people. First of all it is dirty and untidy, rubish all over the place. We got stomach flu because of it. The nature is great but it's a pitty people have ruined it.

Šušanj is on the coast, you will have a good view from the terraces of most houses. The beach is long with several rows of beautiful pine trees 10-15 meters from the sea along the entire length of the beach, this creates beautiful natural shadows, the beach is good, in some parts with finer sand or smaller stones, the only anomaly for some may be that there are large stones in the sea. There are two restaurants on the beach, and 50 meters away there are several well-stocked shops with normal everyday prices and also several restaurants and an excellent pizzeria

I’ve been to Sutomore more than once… and I think I’m officially in love with this place! 💙 The beach is amazing, the sea feels like warm soup, the sun seems to shine just for us, and the vibe? 100% stress-free zone! 😎
If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge and forget all your worries – Sutomore is the one. Highly recommended – and yes, my suitcase is already half-packed for the next visit! 😄✈️🌊

The coast is beautiful and perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sunsets. We liked the fact you could walk all the way from our apartment to the town. It's very touristy in town and the town itself wasn't particularly special, but we enjoyed the reasonably priced bars and restaurants as well as some jetskiing.

We did not stay in Virpazar but walked there about 8 km from our village (Seoca). For (part of) the back trip we arranged a boat bringing us back to our closest beach, like a taxi, for a price much less than a regular boat tour. Retrospectively, this was a good idea.
