We didn’t expect to find such a well-appointed spot in a place like Viesīte. + We only made our reservation after 11 PM. We could do this because there were keys available by pin. Did not meet anyone while on stay. + Our room was generously sized, + Large, Comfortable bed, + Brand-new fixtures and a sleek, modern design. + Waking up to a rooster’s crow was a charming bonus!

We had a very nice stay for one night. Very hospitable hostess. Our room was quite spacious and well-designed, had everything you need and also a small sofa. The location was very good for visiting the Kemeri national park. There is a lovely playground in the yard and a mini aviary with deers.

Everything was OK. The hotel is located in a peaceful place, away from the city noise. The room was cosy and very clean. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly. They were wearing clothes according strict dress code. The evening meal was tasty and breakfast was delicious.

Unfortunately Jelgava was completely destroyed at the end of WW2. Nothing but 5 or 6 historical buildings left. The city is all soviet built soulless block houses. Very sad and not too interesting for visiting.

I am biased as it is my favorite place in the world and I was heartbroken to move out. There's nothing flashy about Jekabpils, but great lake Radži, little, cute streets, quiet and peaceful, nice castle with a museum.

The Bauska castle is fantastic!

The Bauska castle is fantastic! The restoration and collection of artifacts is amazing. Information is available in multiple languages for most of the displays. It is also near the palace at Rundale which is another restored gem.

It seems like a small settlement, but there is a pharmacy, a medium-sized grocery store, as well as several places to eat. There is a great restaurant "Meka". Really great food and quick and efficient service. It is opened until 00.00, but the kitchen is opened until 10 in the evening.

Koknese is a small nice town with rich history.

Koknese is a small nice town with rich history. It is located on the banks of the river Daugava. The river Pērse here flows into the Daugava. You can find nice places to walk and admire the nature. Of course, there are nice places to have your meals, too.

Interesting castle close to the hotel with good water activities offered on the river. Did not use public transport but had a hire car. The streets in general were well maintained and well signposted so that getting around Jelgava by car was easy.

Very small town but clean and few things to see.

Very small town but clean and few things to see. Beautiful Krustpils castle, so much history. Very green, lots of trees and greenery. There is few nice places to eat , tasty Latvian cuisine. Quite cheap for big portions. They have big sports hall which holds ice hokey games and other sports events.

The castle is very interesting to visit.

The castle is very interesting to visit. It has been restorated, but nicely. Good collection of old things and there are the old fashion costumes. Unfortunately the city is crowded with cars driving from Letland to Lithuania , because the route goes through Bauska. To visit Rindales palace just take the bus ( once an hour for 1 euro), it is 15 minutes driving. Please be careful when checking the times yo travel back. Not all departure times are applicable to all days

I adored the city.

I adored the city. It is a nice mixture of historical sights and nature. The riverside and the island are wonderful and it is really nice to walk in the streets. We came by car and there were a lot of parking places. If you don't wanna walk too much, there are plenty of electric scooters too.
