The owner is a great bloke too — kind, genuine, and always ready to help with tips, directions, or just a good chat. Very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff is so friendly and forthcoming. Booked the dorm and ended up being the only guest so had the whole room to myself. Obviously, that’s not a given. The included breakfast was very generous and tasty and served outside in the sun.

The property is hidden away and beautifully secluded. It is small and very exclusive. It felt like a VIP experience. The staff were exceptional and took very good care of us throughout our stay. Food is great. Breakfast comprises a wide variety of fruits, eggs, juices, jam and coconut sambal. Several Sri Lankan dinner options. Sound value for money. Hotel is very new. Almost all amenities needed. Amazing view from the room. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed during our honeymoon. They decorated the bed with flowers and even provided a little present (local tea).

The hotel is incredibly beautiful, very well equipped, the rooms are spacious and very clean. It is located in the heart of the town, making it within easy walking distance of the various restaurants and shops. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Ella station. It was my husband's birthday, and Ujith made us an in-room cake with candles! My husband even got a wrapped present before he left. A real sweetheart! The staff at this hotel go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and unforgettable. Thank you so much Ujith!

From the moment of check in to check out, I had a wonderful stay at orient hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the food was delicious. Special mention must be made to the GM Mr. Chandima who was always on the scene and attentive to our needs. We were also provided with a Trek to Ella Rock accompanied by hotel staff and a packed hotel lunch which was an incredible experience I would highly recommend. Overall was a great visit and will definitely be staying here again next time I visit.

This was the most incredible location with stunning views and also so relaxing. It was a beautiful stay and the staff were so friendly. We told Rafael it was our honeymoon and he organised surprise decorations for us at our room and dinner. Vipula was also very helpful and friendly. We loved loved loved our stay and would highly recommend it. It felt like we were alone in the clouds and the pool is one of the nicest we have swam in. The food was wonderful and well priced and so were the drinks

Everything was perfect. Personel was fantastic, very helpful and kind and polite. Generally people from Sri Lanka are great people. Rooms are amazing. The hotel is totally in the city center; around a lot of restaurants and shops. We arrived very late but personel was waiting for us with the dinner; they were just amazing. Breakfast was fantastic. Next time for sure I will choose the same hotel !!!

Almost everything.

Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

One of our favourite places in SL, had much more of a town feel. It is touristy but just means lots of place to eat. The hikes are amazing and were one of our favourite parts of our trip. Beware the scammers when going up Ella rock - it's a little confusing to find the path and locals will try to lead you away from the main path to 'guide' you

Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

Ella is a wonderful place to explore. It’s very clean and has breathtaking views everywhere. The people are kind, the local food is amazing, and it’s perfect for families, friends, or groups. Most of the activities are outside of main Haputale the hiking is wonderful as was our visit to Lipton's seat and the tour of the tea factory. Main Haputale not really much going on but the hotel was perfect after a long day of hiking.
