Fantastic hotel from the moment we checked-in until check-out! Staff really was there to help when needed and swimming pool was amazing! A little bit overvalued in terms of pricing in my opinion for Sri Lanka but overall it was a super nice stay and we enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious and a lot to choose from!

A modern, clean, and cozy hotel, conveniently tucked away from traffic and noise, allowing for a peaceful night’s sleep. At the same time, it is centrally located between Weligama and Ahangama, making it easy and quick to reach both. The hotel owner, Enrico, is a super friendly guy who genuinely cares about his guests, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment. You can also rely on him for great recommendations on the best restaurants and other nice spots. Thank you for making our stay amazing! Highly recommended, absolut highlight of our time in Sri Lanka.

I stayed 4 nights at Moringa Mirissa and it was a wonderful experience. On my birthday they surprised me and made me really happy – such a kind gesture! From the moment we arrived at Cape Weligama, our honeymoon became truly unforgettable. The villa we stayed in was incredibly spacious, offering every comfort imaginable, including a luxurious bathroom with its own sauna. The highlight was the stunning infinity Moon Pool, where we could relax while enjoying breathtaking ocean views. The Beach Club with private beach access made our stay even more special, giving us the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation by the sea. The gastronomy was simply outstanding—every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was of the highest quality, comparable to a world-class five-fork restaurant. We are especially grateful to our host, Salman, who was always attentive and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the entire service team, particularly Lahiru, whose warm and impeccable service made us feel at home. The hotel also organized a safari to Yala National Park, taking care of everything from the comfortable transport from the hotel to the park, to arranging our own private jeep and guide once inside. Our guide, Damitha, impressed us with his excellent explanations and deep knowledge of the park, making the experience even more enriching. To make the day even more special, we enjoyed a spectacular lunch at Wild Coast Tented Lodge, another property from the Resplendent group—an experience that exceeded all expectations. We had a magical honeymoon on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, and without a doubt, we will return next year to celebrate our anniversary at this paradise.

The very quiet Gardens, the lovely breakfasts, beautiful empty beach, lovely pool and courteous attentive staff. We had a gorgeous room with an out door, roll top bath. If you're looking for a quiet beach, this will hit the spot. The waves are strong so probably best for confident swimmers though you won't have to be an Olympian! The main house is also gorgeous with an airy colonial vibe. Evening meals can be taken at the beach restaurant over the road ( not a busy road). The place is gated with a 24hour watch for the security minded. Various swings, hammocks and board games dotted around. Peacocks, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and chipmunks abound. Heard a Coppersmith Barbet but didn't see it. Fruit bats fly over at sunset. Heaven!

We loved our stay at LakRaj! We were there with a 1 year old and the corner, sea view room was perfect for us. The staff was exceptional, helping us out whenever we needed and even watched our baby sometimes while we ate breakfast :) The cleaning crew also did a great job. We actually had to extend our stay one day, since we enjoyed it that much. There’s plenty restaurants within walking distance, and you can even walk to a grocery store that’s about 15 min away. There’s also lots of eager tuk tuk drivers that will happily drive you. Highly recommend going for a swim with giant sea turtles that’s just past Dr. House (also a great venue for food and drinks).

WBR was the perfect place to stay. If you are looking to go somewhere and be able to truly relax in a warm and welcoming environment then I would definitely recommend this place. The Hotel sits on the beach, when you dine in the restaurant you have a lovely view of the sea. The staff were always incredible friendly and helpful. The food was varied and always of a high quality. From this location you can walk along the beach for miles or just watch the surfers ride the ways, there is something amazing captivating about the place. I enjoyed my vacation immensely and would definitely return.

The hotel management are not good to deal with and I would not recommend this place at all. It looks pretty on the outside but full of problems and poor design, unsafe and unhygienic aspects that are a major concern. Hiring hot water shower that has no safety option even when it is not on high hot water setting, it can burn. The deluxe room we were offered has no windows at all and a dingy hole with no natural light or ventilation but advertised as having an outdoor dining room. It is falsely advertised to mislead people an we refused to stay in the room and had a mattress in the sea view room for which they charged us half the room rate when we didn’t even have a ton, just a mattress an they failed to even provide a towel. Their service is horrendous - stay away from this place and don’t be misled by the pretty photos like we’re. Even beach there not safe to swim and too far from Mirissa main beach so there is really nothing going for this place except the superficial looks.

Weligama is a truly charming coastal town that offers the perfect balance of natural beauty, relaxation, and local culture. Matara isn't a big town so it is relatively quick to get from A to B. The beach is beautiful. But there aren't that many restaurants in in the town. The Matara Rest House near the fort had good food and drinks and is one of the most worth it dining options nearby. Lemon is also a good option. There are restaurants closer to the touristy spots but those are on the pricier side. snorkeling with turtles is popular in Matara.

Talalla beach is clean and not crowded like many on the South coast of Sri Lanka. Relax all day under the sun and take a dip in to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Not really a surfing beach but the right hand end in front of Talalla Retreat is safe for swimming. Friendly locals and a small supermarket nearby. Ate at all the local restaurants - they were all excellent, especially Manju Cinnamon Hut.

The beach is attractive with palm trees and beach bars, however it is very narrow and at high tide there is very little sand available for relaxing. The waves are quite ferocious at times even though the weather was calm and only the strongest and most confident swimmers were able to swim past the breakers and surf, also beware of the jet ski which operates from the area where you access the beach from the hotel, this was an additional menace.
