We had a truly wonderful stay here, everything was perfect! Location is nearby the ocean but away from the noisy part of Weligama, which makes it a perfect place for a peaceful holiday. 5 minutes from the hotel there’s a surf spot, so if you’re interested you can rent a board or arrange a lesson. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they tried to help with each request. The beach is clean. Lots of places where you can eat nearby.

This is a new boutique hotel in Mirissa and we loved the fact that it is close to the beach. When we checked- in, it was almost late evening and we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the owner. As it's a new place, the escalator was still under construction but we enjoyed climbing the vertical stairs overlooking the green property. Staff were very friendly and they accommodated all of our requests to make the stay more enjoyable. After whale watching, we had to extend our stay by a couple of hours and the late check- out was met without much hassle. This property is distinct in terms of offering very large and comfortable family rooms that can host upto 5 to 7 members. The interiors are extremely pleasant and the platform in the room is wide and long enough to place the baggage. The sunset watching area on the terrace is simply beautiful and the evening with live music gives a different vibe altogether, accompanied with good food. A special shout out to the staff in the restaurant area. The manager checked whether we needed a breakfast pack to carry for whale watching and they kept it ready before we left the next morning for whale watching. Overall, a great stay at Coastline. Happy that we found it.

The hosts speak good English—Surein is incredibly kind and helped us with many questions about the area and recommendations in Sri Lanka. I recently stayed at Swell Shacks for one night and had an amazing experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The design of the hotel is simply stunning and perfectly complements the beautiful environment. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and having the beach right in front of our room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered a variety of options. The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking sights. I had such a wonderful time that I will definitely be coming back in the future. I highly recommend Swell Shacks for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Special mention for Gayantha and Madushanka, always smiling, very welcoming and helpful, they definitely make our stay even better 😃 !

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.

Turtle: Right in front of the hotel is a spot where you can swim with turtle... (Funny enough they are not shy and swim to you) Location: You are right ocean front and meters aways from night beach restaurants Staff: Including owner were super helpfull and welcoming Pool: The 25 x meters pool was quite a suprise... also a blessing to find it cristal clear (Which is not the case in other hotel we went during out trip) The wooden bungalow: were very charming and authentic,... with all the modern confort (Nice to have a good working AC after a day visiting. The food option: are limited, but good quality, normaly priced and available.

The location and hotel facilities are amazing. We stayed at the suite and it was the best room we have ever been to, with incredible seaview. Fully recommend this hotel if you are planning to go to Sri Lanka south beaches, it has a turtle view point just in the beach of the hotel and it is really close to Hiriketiya beach where you can surf and enjoy the cool vibes of that beach.

Also which was additional bounus the accomodatin provided a clothes hourse where to dry clothes. Also lovely view every morning with a family of monkeys visiting nearby tree. Very comfy bed.

We just loved our stay here. We were supposed to stay only a few nights and kept extending. The garden is super nice with the beachbeds and the high palms, direct access to the beach, close to the *town", not too far off from hiriketiya beach. Perfect for our family.
