Excellent environment, the garden, pool, dinning area are so well-maintained. We do not need any mosquito repellent in the property which is a big contrast in other boutique hotels/guesthouses in nearby area where we dined. The room is clean, spacious, simple yet stylist. Must join safari through the guesthouse, their connected driver is super professional and always took the best spots amongst all jeeps! Also very nice breakfast. We love everything from il Frangipane!

The Shakshuka breakfast was delicious, also the pasta dinner ~ as good as in Italy. Bed so comfortable, setting very peaceful. Pool was perfect for cooling down in the middle of the day and I loved watching monkeys swing through the trees while reading on a pool lounger. The owner arranged a jeep safari for me at local Eco Park ~ it was awesome to see elephants up so close!

The place is very new and that is noticeable in all the details. Very spacious rooms, the AC is a blessing during hot days, the pool is new and well kept. Not to mention the location (only 5 min drive to Sigiriya). The owner is very helpful and open to feedback, he is truly interested in the guests' having a great experience. He offered us valuable suggestions for when to visit Sigiriya & Pidurangala, and he was absolutely right, so do listen to him 😁👌. The breakfast was rich and delicious on both days. The staff was attentive, so overall we had a wonderful stay. Definitely recommend!

This is by far the best place you can stay in Sigiriya! The cottage is amazing: huge rooms with everything you need. Amazing shower and lovely view of the garden. The restaurant service is also great: amazing food ! The Host was very friendly and welcoming and considerate of every needs!! Highly recommended!!

Seeing the most relaxing pool and greenery of the hotel gave me a sense of calmness from the time I arrived. The Staff were very helpful in wanted to know our needs and arranged for the Safari jeep to pick us up directly from the hotel. As a wildlife enthusiast I loved how this hotel is built to blend with nature and is felt when in the property. Breakfast was great and I got to try a few Sri Lankan spices with egg hopper. Made sure to use the discount I had on the Spa and was exactly what I needed after a good game drive. Didn't really have time to try their other activities although tempting but hey there's always a next time.

A stunning location and a resort with a unique feel to it. We loved that the rooms are all tucked away among rice paddies, lily ponds, or open out onto the water body that teems with bird life, fish, and some crocs. We appreciated the nature-conscious philosophy of the hotel and their efforts to respect the wildlife of the area. The evening dining is very good, the rooms beautiful, spacious, and tasteful and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The heat is quite something so we really recommend the rooms with small plunge pools.

This was our 4th visit to Wild Grass and once more it didn't disappoint. Loved everything! Wild Grass is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. The villas are very modern but sympathetic to the surroundings and so spacious. AC was very efficient. And the bathroom!!! Loved it, especially the outdoor shower. Since our last visit some of the villas now have pools overlooking the lake. I'm so glad we decided to go with one of these rooms. The staff and Mr Nimal all went out of their way to be helpful.

We loved our stay at sigiriya village and would love to come back ! The staff were so welcoming and kind. The room was lovely and spacious, we had a lovely terrace which we sat and watched all the wildlife. The breakfast was great - something for everyone we enjoyed evening cocktails by the pool! I didn’t come to Sigiriya to explore the town itself, but...

I didn’t come to Sigiriya to explore the town itself, but purely for the iconic Sigiriya Rock—and it was absolutely worth it. The experience was incredible, with stunning views from the top. My friends and I climbed up for sunrise, which I highly recommend as the best time to go. Just be prepared: there are a lot of stairs—some carved directly into the rock, others metal and uneven. We visited in November just after the monsoon, so it was warm and the climb had us sweating buckets. If you plan on taking those perfect social-media photos, bring a spare T-shirt… or do what I did and let AI handle the magic! Although the ascent was tough and left us literally out of breath, the moment we reached the top made it all worth it. The views were truly breathtaking—quite fitting, since the climb already took my breath away.

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree...

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights in the end as we got to sigiriya late. This meant we ate dinner one night at the little hut which wass great, climbed the rock, then moved on to the habarana which was also interesting to wander and eat.

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. Mainly there are 10-12 attractions in Matale. As I just stayed one day which was not sufficient to visit all the places. Among them where I went were also hampered due to the rain at time to time. Generally Matele was quit good tourist destination if it is planned well with couple of days.

The weather is very calm.

The weather is very calm. Recommended time to start climb is 5.45 AM. So worthy to watch the surroundings from top of the Sigiriya. You can learn a lot about Sigiriya. You can get a guide if you want from the entrance.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy,...

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.
