This hotel makes you happy. Service is outstanding, very nice staff. Very friendly and they take good care of you. The rooms are spotless, hot shower. The restaurant serves a good dinner. And on top of it all, a very nice swimmi 1 ngpool. We should have stayed linger, but we booked are next hotel already.

The best stay we had in Sri Lanka! The room and all the facilities were so comfortable. Room was a bit small but enough to rest, bathroom was enormous and probably the best I've seen in Sri Lanka. The host was very attentive, he welcomed us with fruit from his own garden - lovely!

Lovely spot to relax on the terrace after a hot day, we had a really good night's sleep and the most delicious rice and curry. It's a good starting point for a safari and you'll get all the help you need from here. The staff is super friendly and helpful!

We had such a beautiful stay at My Resort Yala. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and cared for - the staff really want to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is evident in the facilities - air con, good fans, filtered water in the room, mosquito nets (even though there weren’t many mosquitos), a fridge, a hair dryer, adapters to suit every country’s appliances. My favourite - bicycles. This allowed us to ride around town - a thoroughly enjoyable way to see the place. We did an afternoon safari and managed to see a sloth bear! Along with so many other animals - many elephants, crocodiles, deer, bird species, mongoose, jackals, goannas (probably forgetting a lot here). The leopard eluded us. My husband and I have been on safari in Africa so we thought maybe we’d be underwhelmed - but it was awesome. The pool was great for my kids. The temperature was just right. Breakfast was tasty and very generous, and the place has such a peaceful outlook over the rice fields. All of this for such good value. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a lovely stay.

Incredible stay with a wonderful host! The room was perfectly comfortable with great facilities and cooling system. The host was an absolute standout of the property! He welcomed us with fresh king coconuts and then took us for a tour around the lake and rice fields, including showing us plenty of water birds and crocodiles. He also helped organise transport for us between locations and was fully responsible for organising our safari (where we saw a leopard)! It was a highlight of our trip to stay here and highly recommended it for anyone hoping to see Yala!

Word cannot express how grateful we are to Nalin and Isharni for welcoming us into their home during Sinhalese New Year. Staying at Black Panther Yala was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was such a special weekend where we learnt/ate traditional food (e.g. oil cake), participated in the rituals and traditions and met the neighbours and relatives. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. Dinner included is such a rare treat. The location is lovely, set next to the wetlands. You can borrow bike and ride around the area. We did a safari through a driver that our host recommended and it was amazing. I would highly recommend Black Panther to anyone!

The location being right on the beach was the highlight of this spot for us, being able to walk along the beach first thing in the morning and watch sunrise and sunset each day. Food was incredible too. And the staff were incredibely friendly and warm.

The staff and host in this property could not have been any kinder. We were able to get our laundry done for a very fair price and the host even made us a packed breakfast as we had to leave very early morning on our departure. The location was very close to the beach and a short ride to the secret beach.

Really one of the best hotels we ever stayed in. From the rooms, to the service to the hotel area with the pool - everything felt more like a 5-star-surrounding. The manager and the stuff are as helpful as it gets and fulfill wishes you didn't know you even hat. The view from the shower was amazing as well as the rest of the apartment. 10/10 - we would totally come again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days in October 2023. The hotel is located in the Yala Nature Reserve on the ocean. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff. The general manager of Colonel proved to be an amazing person. He gave us a real celebration in honor of our wedding anniversary. It was funny and unforgettable. The hotel itself is not new, but it has everything you need. The rooms are large and colorful. All with ocean views, comfortable enough. Many thanks to the staff of the entire hotel for their hospitality and attention to our people.

The rooms were very comfortable with a great view. What i loved the most about this hotel was the staff on duty especially Angela and the service provided. Although i travelled alone, i did not feel lonely because the staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I had a safari tour pick up at 5am and i loved how the hotel took our needs into consideration and packed breakfasts in takeaway boxes for us to go.

Our stay was truly magical. The place itself is beautiful, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout our visit. The safari experience was exceptional! Special thanks to our guide, Nuwan, who explained everything so well and helped us spot a leopard, which was the absolute highlight of our trip.In the evenings, we even had some delightful visitors around the room, including deers, wild boars, and peacocks.

The pool is beautiful and very big. The staff also takes really good care of it. The breakfast is very diversityle and tastes really good. The staff is wonderful and really kind. They will do anything in their power, to make your stay perfect. The beds are fine and the rooms are clean and big. For the price its more than definitly worth it! Lots of gorgeous beaches nearby don’t stay on the main town beach. Take a bus to silent beach / Goyambokka beach / red beach / pallikudwua etc - you could walk from the town to Red beach and Pallikafwua too in 30 minutes Free sunbeds if you eat/ drink at the local beach bars at every beach

It should be on everyone’s itinerary! The safari was amazing- go for the all day! And Jami Riverside Hotel is run by a wonderful host couple and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and affordable. They will make all the safari arrangements with the park for you if you wish. We had a wonderful driver -PHN Kasun Sampath.

This place is amazing.

This place is amazing. We stay with our 3 young kids and the staff were so kind and attentive. All of the small details have been thought of and it’s a wonderful experience in nature. Lovely local Sri Lankan are served for each meal.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone looking for a visit to the National Park should consider staying at Tringa and booking the tour with them as they will make sure you have a great experience.

Weerawila, located in a dry zone of Sri Lanka, is ideal for wildlife safaris and nature experiences. This location is especially convenient during the rainy season, as it often stays dry even when the rest of the country is experiencing thunderstorms. We chose it specifically to avoid heavy rains.

Authentic family experience.

Authentic family experience. Two beaches, bird sanctuary and a fishery. Small but beautiful temple. Big rocks for line fishing. Bird watching. Relaxing. You can walk around the village, a couple of little shops. No restaurants as such. I had home cooked food from the main house.

Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It definitely is an experience worth trying.

It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. There were times you just felt that we were the only ones there and when you needed something the staff would magically appear
