We stayed for two nights and it was a fantastic time. The breakfast and dinner were super delicious and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The also organised us a safari trip to wilpattu and a very nice transfer to negombo. The hotel has a very nice pool, the place is so lovely with a very green and beautiful environment.

I had an incredible stay at this property! Having visited Anuradhapura before, I can honestly say this time felt like a real getaway. The location is perfect—close to all the must-see landmarks, which made it so easy to explore the history and culture of the area. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how peaceful and welcoming the place felt. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless, and the food was absolutely fantastic—definitely five-star quality. One of the highlights for me was the calm, zen-like atmosphere, especially while relaxing by the beautiful pool. Between the peaceful surroundings, great amenities, and friendly staff, everything exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Anuradhapura, I highly recommend Maho Boutique!

Everything was fantastic! The hotel hosts had to give our room away to other guests and were so kind to find another lovely room for us for an even better price. The rooms are very beautiful and have everything you may need during your stay, including a hairdryer, a kettle, complimentary water bottles, coffee and tea etc. Also, the shower has nice pressure and warm water, which is often not the case in Sri Lanka from my experience. Their breakfast is very cheap, delicious and offers a nice variety of local ingredients. The hosts are also very friendly and happy to help you with anything you may need. Definitely would stay here again. :)

Owner of the property - Chaya , was very hospitable and helpful. She helped us to organize a tuk tuk tour around Anuradhapura with a private guide - Adid (super nice guy with a big knowledge). The apartment was huge, clean and with air conditioning. Nothing was missing. The food , that Chaya made for us , was delicious. The best we had tried in Sri Lanka (really). We regret that our stay was so short and we missed the cooking classes…maybe next time. I highly recommend this apartments. Greetings from Poland

This became our favourite hotel out of all the hotels we stayed during this journey. It was a great time for us during the two nights we stayed in this hotel. It's an echo friendly, sustainable, nature loving hotel with immense of activities to enjoy whilst your stay. Fabulous staff starting from the cleaning staff in the garden, security (third party), bell desk, waiters, cooks, chefs, room service, housekeeping, laundry staff, and management everyone amazing. Very helpful, more generous, and always willing to do their job beyond the expected level. Really appreciated. Some of them were exceptional; Asitha, Lilanga, Melani, Chamara, Ranjith, Dananjya, Nalini, Senaratne, Sugath, Sumith, Thakshila and room services boy. Accommodation: We stayed at "Tamarind" a superior suite. Only two of these for the hotel. It was kind of a small home for us. Had lots of space. King Bed was superb. Interior decoration was excellent. Charm colours and antique type furniture combination makes a vibrant look for this gorgeous suite. Outside couch was ideal for relaxing tea over the lake view. Bathroom is massive and it has a great view of the lake. 2 shower cubicles, Jacuzzi, 01 toilet, 02 vanities, and this comes with full set of amenities. Restaurant: Fabulous food with real authentic taste. A very good selection. every time we go there we spent lots of time talking to people and most of the time meal hours are over and we were still having meal. Short walk To Cinnamon Village: Can play on the swing, tree house, and jump on a kayak for a lake tour (at a cost LKR2000 per person). Pool - It's right next to the restaurant. Organic farm and butterfly garden: plan a small walk to the organic farm and see the butterflies on the way

The welcome and the service that we received were exceptional - unrivalled by any other hotel visited during three weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were genuinely happy that we were their guest, and they were not afraid to show it. From the moment we arrived, they did everything and more to make sure that we were comfortable. The central courtyard garden lent the hotel an idyllic cosy community feel and allowed us to feel nicely isolated from the bustle of the streets outside. The pool area was scenic, the pool functional, and there were a bunch of sun beds from which to capture the sun as it moved above the tree line. One of us fell ill during our stay. The manager offered to take us to the hospital, assisted us there, and the entire team attended to us tirelessly day after day - including complimentary afternoon tea in our room. Bicycles were available to borrow to get around and see the various fascinating heritage sites - and we'd really recommend using them! Breakfast was predominantly Euro-continental, incredibly generous, and tastier than anything else we had in Sri Lanka outside of 5* hotels. Dinner was tasty too. The menu was diverse and competitively priced. Table service was exquisite. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and secure. The location was great - perfectly situated for exploring town, set back from the road so as to be silent at night, and with quick access to the lake on foot. A beautiful gaggle of peacocks graces the gardens. The hotel arranged our onward travel to Trincomalee in a comfortable car at a competitive price.

We had a great stay at Villu Villa. Located in a quiet area just about 7min away by tuk tuk (300rupies). There's a very good restaurant called Table 9 located within 20min walking distance but they can do delivery as well. The room is great and the swimming pool was the perfect way to end the day. The owners are amazing and super kind! We had an issue with our plans and had to extend our stay, and they were really helpful and kind trying to help us. Definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for everything!

During my stay, the property owner made several inappropriate and judgmental comments about my affordability and my decision to share meals with my mother, who is disabled. His behaviour was rude and discriminatory. After I posted my review describing my disappointment, the owner contacted me directly on my personal mobile number using very abusive and offensive language. This message was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe.

Habarana is a small town located at a crossroads and a main road. It is therefore very accessible to other important cities, such as Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, etc. As well as to the natural parks, which are located nearby. Public transport is perfectly provided. The town has the necessary facilities such as shops, a bank, a post office, a doctor, etc. The beautiful surrounding nature, and easily accessible lakes, are also an advantage.

Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place. It's different from the other sites in Sri Lanka because it still attracts so many pilgrims to its religious sites. It's a good idea to dedicate one day to visiting the active pilgrimage sites and the next to the historical sites, for which you need a ticket. Remember to cover up with long trousers and sleeves and don't forget your socks, because the ground is really hot and you have to take off your shoes everywhere. If you have an extra day, you can also return to the sites at night, which is when pilgrims light candles. Make sure you've got the Pick Me app installed and look out for a tuk tuk driver called Nisha. He's absolutely amazing: great driver, kind and attentive and with good English. For dinner, the atmospheric Hotel Shalini is a good bet. The Seedevi family restaurant is another good place. If you want to have a beer, they can put you in a separate 'family' room, or you can go to the tiny 'pub' next door.

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..
