This is by far the best accommodation we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Even though some people avoid this area during February as it’s considered low season, we had the best experience. It was quiet, sunny and relaxing. Anna and Nicolo are the best hosts and help out with whatever you need; surfing, safari, transport, etc. Their restaurant has delicious traditional pizza, pasta and more. Besides that, we saw a whole range of wildlife in the area, including free roaming elephants and crocodiles. After 3 nights I decided to extend my stay in Sri Lanka and come back for another full week at Whisky Point. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

We felt like home, everything is made for you to feel good, the pool is amazing, bungalows are super comfy, restaurant is really good (even the European food but also the local food not to spicy l, you can ask on demand), owners really helpful, friendly, here for you and the staff is joyful and super friendly to ! A great place for those who appreciate comfort and service. The staff was very kind and helpful, any request was fulfilled in a short time. You could relax and enjoy your holiday. Pleased with the cleanliness of the pool - it was cleaned every morning. The guests of the hotel are also nice people, mostly Europeans who have a rest without children. The room has many pleasant little things that are made with love. The bed is magnificent, every time I lay down on it, it was as if I fell into a cloud.

Absolutely loved our stay at Oruwa Boutique Villa! This place is a true hidden gem in Arugam Bay. The vibe is peaceful, stylish, and perfectly intimate—far from the crowded hotels. Oruwa villa was beautiful, clean, and just steps from the beach. Waking up to the sound of the surf was magical. The entire team was incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to help with anything from scooter rentals to dinner recommendations. Located near the bay, and main street however in quiet area. The facility is new, rooms are nice, bed comfy and bath clean. Outside, there is a patio where you can relax. There was also fridge freezer and small kitchen available. Great place.

Hotel Review – Arugambay Location: The hotel is perfectly located in Arugambay, close to nearby shops, the beach, IMC Medical Center, and surfing shops — making it super convenient to get anything you need at any time. Room Quality: I stayed in a Deluxe Room — it was super clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The view was amazing, surrounded by natural forest which added a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Food and Dining: They offered a different style of breakfast every day, along with fresh juice. The taste was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Service and Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the entire property was well-maintained. The staff were active 24/7, always friendly and helpful. Facilities: Free high-speed fiber Wi-Fi was available, and it worked perfectly. The hotel also offers good parking space and room service 4 out of 7 days a week. Value for Money: Definitely worth the price — clean rooms, great location, and exceptional service all for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Arugambay — for comfort, cleanliness, location, and hospitality.

I initially booked for 2 nights and then ended up staying for a week. Hassan was a fantastic host and was able to help with travel arrangements and plans. My room was comfortable and had a view of the beach from my balcony (the beach was about 15m away as the hotel is right on the beach). It's located far enough away from the point and busy end of town that it's nice and quiet at night but only about 15 minutes walk down the beach or main road to all busier bars. I would happily come back and stay here again for an extended stay. Compared with other places I stayed in Arugam Bay my room here was larger and to a much higher standard.

5 stars hospitality, exceptional food and amazing service from everyone! The staff did everything possible to make this an unforgettable stay! Very polite people, always with a smile on their faces and providing the best service possible. The rooms are very nice with very comfortable bed and pillows. The food Is really something else, huge breakfast and many options on the menu for lunch and dinner. Any special request we had was taken care by the chef and his team! This was really a dream stay for us, massive thanks to the Jetwing Surf team 🙏, we will sure be back.

Our favourite place in Sri Lanka! We booked the Suite in the only high building and we loved every bit of it! Best chill out area outside, 30 m walk to the beach that we had to ourself most of the days. Comfy bed, good shower, lots of space and NO mosquitoes. We didn’t get to meet the owner Deen but his uncle is the sweetest too! 100% recommend.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
