Such a lovely get away ideally located between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Beautiful Kymer styled house and garden grounds with a pool!!! Ideal for cycle tourers like us or motorcycle tourers. Sebastian and his wife were extremely welcoming and lovely hosts. Would love to stay again!

We were welcomed by a caring host, Rany, who took care of us the entire stay. She cooked us delicious meals and took interest in our trip as she gave advice on where to go and what to do. She was happy to share about her and to care about us. We were delighted by the end of the trip!

Silk Island is a haven of nature and tranquility on the river. It is close enough from Phnom Penh that you can escape the mania of the city, it only takes about an hour to get there by tuk tuk. You do not need long to discover the place, it is possible to visit in half a day if you are short of time.
On the island itself, there are traditional Khmer communities living and working. There are a few tourist attractions related to the silk production that occurs on the island, but don't expect lots of developments, western style bars and restaurants etc. This is a living, working community.
