I liked the property because it is accessible and that it is near a mall. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable overall. The dining area is very nice and offers a view of Nairobi. Security is good which added to the safety I felt staying in the city. Good breakfast.

Deerpark was the perfect place to stay for me during my visit to Nairobi. I was there with a colleague, and we had a very busy schedule during the days. Coming back to Deerpark in the evenings was a balm! The lush garden, the friendly hellos from everyone on the staff, the quiet and the lovely house all contributed to making me feel relaxed and safe. Our every need was catered for by the handful of staff, from remembering our breakfast preferences to helping with the booking of transport, and being able to order a variety of food from the menu. The atmosphere was relaxed, yet caring. The place is small, and to me that is infinetely preferable to chain luxury hotels, and at a fraction of the price, too. I will be sure to stay there again if I come to Nairobi.

This is a beautiful slice of old world charm in Nairobi city. We loved our stay in the property, brief though it was. We would especially like to mention the staff at the restaurant for their watchfulness, honesty and kindness in taking care of the bag we had left behind inadvertently and handing it to the reception. We absolutely loved our stay at Ololo. The Staff are amazing, so helpful and always on hand! Ololo is family run (special mention to Fred the family dog) so you feel like you’re really part of the group! The game drives are brilliant and led by very knowledgeable guides, we managed to see 4 of the big 5 in just a couple of days! The food is fantastic, brilliant portion sizes and all home made. We also visited the farm at the back of the property and it was great to see first-hand how Ololo is virtually self sustainable. Our room was so cosy and we even had monkeys playing outside our window most afternoons. We can’t wait to come back soon! HIGHLY recommend.

The apartment was spacious, luminous, clean and fully equipped. Thorough house keeping everyday. The kitchen has everything you need from pots and pans to cutlery and everything in between to make the self catered experience wholesome. There is a supermarket at the Yaya centre which is super convenient for quick grocery shopping. Jacinta at the reception desk has been helpful and accommodating from the booking process to the last day, always with a smile!

Otherwise I had not expected anything particular but the hotel and staff were absolutely terrific. From the comfortable room with all amenities to the staff’s eye for detail. Simply loved everything!

Nice hotel, good location as you can easily move around the city, and it’s in a secure environment too, the staff here are welcoming, breakfast was good, room is as seen on booking.com. Overall, my stay was good and will definitely be using them again if I come back to this city.. good value for money 👍

Safety is the best of Karen.

Safety is the best of Karen. It's quiet, a lot of nature, sidewalks (so good for walking/running). Waterfront mall has everything you need, CJ's restaurant are high quality. Same with Naivas markets. It might be hard to get public transport, but Uber-Bolt are in 1000s. Giraffe center and Waterfront amusement are great places to visit. The Legend restaurant is more than amazing too.

We enjoyed spending a week in Nairobi.

We enjoyed spending a week in Nairobi. We learned much at the National Archives, enjoyed seeing animals in the national park, and had fun in a local shopping center. Visitors need to research what to do and be prepared to hire a ride to move around. We visited with small children and felt both overwhelmed and safe during our visit.

Nairobi is a huge, busy, crowded and chaotic city.

Nairobi is a huge, busy, crowded and chaotic city. It's an assault on the senses with all the action and business going on. Our family of six found the people incredibly friendly, with a lovely sense of fun. We were aged between 67 and 17 so we all had different highlights. I would recommend doing the cookery course where they bring you shopping in local markets and you go back to someones flat. We went with Rumma Tours. We took a Mutatu Bus which we enjoyed thoroughly, fun. Walking around the city was very interesting but remember not to smoke on the street or take any photos of official buildings. We didn't know this and almost got arrested twice! The National Safari Park was better than expected but all parks are very costly (I believe the prices have been doubled over the past few months). We did a trip to Hell's Gate and Lake Naivasha which was amazing, even just the drive there and back was an eye opener. We stayed in Lavington which was very convenient and were able to walk to The Mall and to local restaurants.
