This place is beautiful in autumn, the garden is breathtaking, the onsen on the 10th floor is a must go. The room is large and confortable with a private onsen on the balcony that has a view to Mt. Fuji. Breakfast was included and it was great, many traditional japanese food and with a view to the garden/mt. Fuji. Great place to stay, me and my wife will want to go once more.

Thé Toki is brand new and is equipped with modern and high quality furnishings, it was very spacious, quiet, very clean, we had the entire house with 2 bedrooms for 2 people, 2 bathrooms of course, and so there was plenty of room. The roof top terrace with its own BBQ and a superb view of Mount Fuiji was awesome!

I proposed to my partner on this stay. The staff were so helpful and made it so effortless in my planning around it. I am forever grateful for this. The intimate setting matched with phenomenal service really made this trip one to remember The Villas were the nicest accommodation we have stayed in Japan. What a lovely hotel – three stars but definitely deserves more. Our room was a traditional Japanese Ryokan with tatami flooring and three futons. We had a fabulous view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom window with clear skies for each of the four nights we stayed here. The hotel is a short drive to the Fujikawaguchiko ropeway and within walking distance of surrounding restaurants, convenience stores, a supermarket, etc. The team of staff at Kawaguchiko Park is super-friendly and helpful. Two of the guys washed down our car one morning after some Autumn leaves had falled on top of it. We used the open-air Onsen each of the four evenings we were there, it’s calm, clean and beautiful. There are also two massage chairs that proved very popular with my daughters – provided for free. Japanese breakfast at the Kawaguchiko Park Hotel was a beautiful experience – very traditional items all laid out carefully for us on our table. We had no idea what most of them were but there was plenty to eat to start each of our days. Thank you to the team at Kawaguchiko Park Hotel – we loved staying with you and hope to return one day.

Service was extremely thoughtful! The server who checked us in escorted us to our room, and even tidied our shoes! At keiseki dinner and breakfast, as a family with kids, the service was very polished, and the server really could anticipate our needs and acted proactively, to the point of surprising us! The meals were elaborate and of extremely high quality. Both the public onsen and the private in-room onsen were excellent. And of course, the view of Mount Fuji was super impressive! All Fufu hotels are designed with maximum customer privacy in mind. While the hotel is not right next to the coast of Lake Kawaguchiko but is instead "hidden" in a valley, the feeling of being inside a forest yet with Mount Fuji still highly visible, the picture is really surprisingly next level! A perfect, perfect stay overall!

The most thoughtful and kind staff we've met in Japan yet. The room had the most comfy beds and high quality, eco friendly amenities, and a amazing view of Yamanashi and Mount Fuji. The hotel is very charming and has an ample public bath with many shower heads and the best massage machine I've ever used (¥100 each 5 min). If you plan to visit the nearby Hottarakashi onsen, the staff will kindly lend you towels and schedule a taxi (it cost around ¥3000 the round trip). My husband and I stayed for only one night, but we wish we'd stayed at least 3 nights to enjoy more of Fruits Park. Will definitely come back!!

Great location, a bit farther away from the crowded Kawaguchiko, near beautiful lake. Spacious room, VERY comfy bed and pillows. You can book a private onsen or use public one - it’s not busy and tattoos are okay. The hotel is 30 min walk from the station, they also provide a shuttle from and to the station. Amazing view of the Mt Fuji from rooms as well as onsen and rooftop bar. Would definitely recommend and stay again myself!

Fujiyoshida offers beautiful views of Mt. Fuji — on a clear day, you can see the mountain from almost anywhere in town. It’s very close to Mt. Fuji and other nearby attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. I actually prefer staying in Fujiyoshida over Kawaguchiko because it’s less crowded but just as convenient and scenic.

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.

Kofu is a really cool place.

Kofu is a really cool place. It is central to quite a few places and easy to navigate, whether you have a car or are using the public system. Shopping is great. One piece of advice would be, if you don't speak or understand Japanese, make usre you have google translate or earbuds as no one speaks english there.

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.

Great place for Mt Fuji views!

Great place for Mt Fuji views! Plan to stay minimally 3D/2N for best chance to see Fuji coz weather conditions unpredictable, could be clouded over so 3D stay helps to increase chance of clear views. Buy the 2D Red/Green tourist bus which allows you to hop on and off anytime. Red route is more touristy and better Fuji views. Green route is more nature sites, good for walks.

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hr
