BelgiumAmazing! What a view! The rooms are spacious and offer the best views on the lake, even from the bathroom. Everything is very clean and the owners are super kind.
We drove a car so going out to the village for dinner was no problem. Great value for money.

Its also a beautiful n lavishly appointed hotel and one of its many claims to fame is being the site of a G8 Summit hotel in 2008. It has many lovely restaurants, a great onsen plus a nice golf course to boot. Locals regard this hotel as Hokkaido's most prestigious hotel, and one can fully understand once you stay there. The staff are so professional and courteous fm the doorman to everyone you come into contact as they all seem so conscious they have a very high reputation to maintain as The Top hotel in the region. A Must Return to hotel.

Good price / quality rating (especially if you compare to the other hotels nearby). The onsen is so nice after a day of hiking. You feel really welcome as a guest to stay in this positive vibe hotel.

one of the highlight of my stay in Hokkaidō. Onsen and dinner were amazing. you definitely have to try the food. Sleeping in a Japanese style room was amazing and the futon was very comfortable. the hotel is well located has plenty of amenities and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I was so convinced that I booked another night right after that one.

Very touristy and busy. Enjoyed the Mt. Usu Ropeway and the walk at the summit station, along the Southern Rim Trail to the lookout over Ginnuma Crater. Panoramic views from the Silo Observation Deck.

Very beautiful and quaint little town.
Very beautiful and quaint little town. Loved the hot foot and hand spas for the public. Views of the lake were amazing and the onsen with the cost of our room was worth it. Better to stay since it is much more beautiful than at Rusutsu Resort area and not that far to go snowboarding.

Lake Toya is a special Jewel of a retreat in Japan. It is well known but many people have never been as its slightly more difficult to get to then other Onsen. The natural beauty of the lake is breathtaking and well worth the visit, it is a small town by comparison so not so much for shopping/nightlife etc. Your going to sit and watch the sunset and soak for a long time in Onsen or tubs. Also many of the Onsen seem to be of very high quality so pick what fits budget/needs best and I bet you will have a spectacular time.
