The location was great, close to the Citadelle and Centre where we ate at some restaurants that were recommended by the hotel staff. The breakfast was good, typical Jordanian food plus omelets and pancakes. The staff were amazing, always ahead of what you may need and providing information on activities and places to visit. The bed was fantastic!

All the personnel was perfect, very helpful and polite. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast had a lot of variety. Convenient location in the centre of the city. They allow us a late checkout at 5.00pm with no extra charge.

Our experience at this hotel was excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Our Highlight was definitely the restaurant called Trader Vic’s which is inside the hotel and the cigar lounge bar “le piano” next to the reception. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented .Everything exceeded our expectations — highly recommend this place!

Mena Tyche is a very nice hotel, lead by a friendly and welcoming team. The hotel is located in the well-established district Shmesani. They serve high quality breakfast with typical and super tasty Arabic food as well as hold a Gym and a Swimming pool, the latter opens from May 1st. The gentlemen at the front office, the room service, the restaurant team and the guards at the front entrance are super nice. All clean, safe and comfortable.

A grocery store sits next door and there are a few good restaurants within a walking distance. Location off Zahran Street is quite convenient. Amman is just like any big city: crowded, heavy traffic, older downtown. I would recommend for shopping (best price for souvenirs; had I known, I wouldn’t have bought anything in Petra which was at least times more expensive than Amman). Also for a variety of restaurants and an interesting public market Al-Balad. If you don’t have time to go to Jerash, Amman has some interesting enough ruins like the Roman theatre, nymphoneum, and citadel.

Booking.com mistakenly listed our reservation for one adult...

Booking.com mistakenly listed our reservation for one adult instead of two, leading the hotel to unfairly charge us extra, despite the room being priced for two people. On top of that, the hotel provided no basic amenities like towels or extra bathrobes, making it the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Both good things and bad things to say: Good: Beautiful view Curious and friendly locals Good privacy Elevator Staff will arrange cheap airport-transport for you Bad: Terrible wifi that barely worked. Don't book this hotel if you need to do work online, unless you have a sim card from which you can hotspot yourself. Almost nobody around speaks English well, so communicating can be a big struggle Expect to be woken up by a prayer from the Mosque next door at 6 AM. However, they will be quiet for the rest of the night. Getting food is difficult. There is a coffee shop in the same building, but they don't serve food. 100m away there is a small takeaway eating place with cheap junk food. But there is no menu and they don't speak English well, so you just have to communicate with body language and hope they give you what you prefer. There is also a shop with snacks available there. No prices are displayed though. The staff will help you order takeaway, but a meal that makes you full costs around 6 JD, so be prepared. Expect imperfections in your room such as weak air condition, showering water that only gets a little warm, leaking toilet, weak flushing, and a bit of uncleaniness The beds are a bit hard, and the pillows are too big There is not really anything to see in the nearby area The light on the ceiling that illuminates the room shines very bright and white light that is kinda depressing at night

A pleasant, rapidly growing city.

A pleasant, rapidly growing city. Due to the language barrier and lack of English signage, taxi services were helpful. My taxi driver was repeatedly Wesam Ghareeb, whose services I can highly recommend. He is a good driver and can communicate fluently in English.

Very convenient place to stay on arrival or when you have an...

Very convenient place to stay on arrival or when you have an early departure from Amman QA Airport. The shuttle service is well organized, even in the middle of the night. Room is spacious, so are the beds, and clean. Bathroom convenient, water, tea and coffee available for free. Airco works well, and keeps noise of airport and highway out. They brought us to the car rental too, all for free. There is nothing in the neighbourhood, so really a place to spend the night. Value for money!

Guided walking tour of Downtown Amman was very knowledgeable to start your tour of Jordan. People are very friendly. Exchange your currency in the City through Western Union without any service charge whereas at the airport, they charge service charge.
