IrelandThis boutique hotel is in the lovely town of San Felice, just outside Saló on Lake Garda. It is right in the centre of the town, with bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes’ walk. Free parking is also close by, only 100 m away. The room was very comfortable, overlooking the swimming pool; the breakfast was delicious. But what made the stay memorable for us was the friendliness of the staff: it’s hard to single anyone out but in particular Greta and Stefania were most helpful, as was everyone. We highly recommend this hotel.

Large and well-equipped apartment, suitable for families. Terrace and garden overlooking the lake, with sun loungers and chairs (we didn't use it in October, but in the summer season it's perfect).
Parking in the yard, next to the apartment, secured with a closed gate.
Short walk to the lake, around 5 minutes and you reach a narrow and rocky beach.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, our late check-in and early check-out process was really easy thanks to the indications they left us upon arrival.
The location does not provide bathroom supplies, they need to be purchased, but that's not an issue since there are several super markets close by, less than 10 minutes by car.

I rate this hotel 10/10. They upgraded our room to a superior one free of charge, which had a magnificent balcony with an amazing view — the perfect place where I later proposed to my partner. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the breakfast was very tasty, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return. And to top it all off, they also have a great pool for cooling off!

This hidden gem is one of those places you wish you’d booked longer at! Couldn’t rate it any higher but if I could I’d give it a 1000 out of 10. STUNNING location, beautiful accommodation, attentive staff and so much to do for kids. The pool area is great too! The location is great for exploring the lake. A must must visit.

We would 100% recommend this camp! The staff was sooo nice, they made us feel really welcomed.
Our son had a wonderful time on the playground and in Mini club.
Camp is really clean, well organized. There is a market and a tasty restaurant as well.

We enjoyed the stay very much - breakfast was excellent, with tasty home made cakes, staff were very friendly, the whole place is very clean. The children enjoyed playing with the dogs, riding horses and the presence of other animals very much.

The mobile home had everything for living (very clean). We really liked it here. Delicious food at the restaurant with excellent customer service.
We were with two dogs. Very friendly camp.

Padenghe itself doesn't offer much beyond hotels to stay. The main place is Desenzano and Sirmione which aren't too far from Padenghe. I assume hotel prices will be ideal around Padenghe for visiting around areas.

Amazing location allowing you to travel to all parts of the Lake quite easily. The ferry's are worth utilising and travelling across the lake to Malecine and doing the cable car trip to the top of the mountain.

First visited Moniga in late 80's and returned annually for 11 years and stayed at Camping Fontanelle. After 26 years we took a trip of nostalgia to revisit as many places as we could in the 4 days we were there. Whilst there have been a lot of changes to what we remembered the town of Moniga is still as charming, to us, as it always was. Our 4 day break was a total success as it brought back many happy memories of the times we spent there when our children were young.

We loved the local ferry port connecting us with all the towns around Lake Garda. Pizzeria 5 mins from hotel serving delicious home cooked food. We visited Salo, Sirmione, Malcesine, Limone and Riva, all worth seeing. We had a hired car so it was easy to get around. Beautiful lake side walks, quirky streets, souvenir shops, cafes, bars and gellato. The Monte Baldo cable car is definitely worth visiting for hiking enthusiasts, you can hire bikes to cycle around, the views are incredible, little cafes everywhere.

Facilities though a bit outdated were functional and clean. The location at beach is great, you can have a swim anytime. As in most places at Italian lakes you have to stumble over small rocks to get into deeper water. Best to take watershoes with you. Pardenghe itself is very small. Because it is close to the Po-river area the surrounding mountains are small (compared to Riva). In the proximity there are enough attractions. We visited the Masi wine estate.

We went to Bardolino on the Eastern shore the previous year and liked Manerba in the West of the lake better. Bardolino and Garda are very touristy and not so much genuine Italian as the other side of the lake around Manerba, Saló and Desenzano. Compared to the same time of the year on the East of the lake there were many more tourists than on the West side of the lake, and this would not only tell because the West seems to be less crowded, but there were many more Italian people in the bars and restaurants and in the shops, the shops were much less centred on selling inexpensive souveniers but rather clothes, shoes, 'normal' things. Also, in the West it was much easier to find a decent sized Italian supermarket. We were pleased to find quite a few vineries selling their produce often alongside olive-oil. Hiking the countryside is easier and visiting destinations on the lake like Isola del Garda and Sirmione only a little boattrip from any of the small ports.
The easy trip to Desenzano and Saló were very much worth it but what caught us most was the trip to Brescia. The city does not look much when entering the city from the motorway, but has such an interesting city centre with such a rich history. There are so many bautiful places to sit and eat, so many interesting shops and most of all the UNESCO World Heritage sites with Roman and Medieval History. Do go and visit it, anybody interested will not be disappointed.

Moniga was beautiful but would recommend hiring a car to explore and get the most from Lake Garda. There is a local ferry service but would be cheaper to hire a car and have more freedom. If staying in Montiga without a car, it would be a very quiet stay, with only a handful of restuaruants and no nightlife.

We loved the village which was very historical and typically Italian. We tried some of the restaurants which were all quite different - Trattoria - was lovely for pasta dishes; Hanta Yo - a mexican cuisine and buzzy bar with helpful staff; le patio - quirky spanish style restaurant, best to book and nice atmosphere.
the bar at Porta Felice was great for lunch with tables on a pier overlooking the lake
the pizza restaurant at Fornella camp had lovely views over the lake - you have to walk through the campsite to get there.
Buses were easy and cheap - Manerba beach cost 3-4 euros to get there (we got off near the port, stopped at bars along the prom and took the path back to road, a 25min walk back)
you can catch a little tourist train from the village which was fun (thought we were at a bus stop!) but got to Salo on market day and caught a boat back to Persade to walk back from there.
To get to the hotel we caught the 199 airport bus to Porta Neova railway station 7 euros each, the regionale train to Desenzano del Garda 4 euros each and a taxi from outside the station to the hotel for 40 euros.

Small and quiet , away from the hustle and bustle . Nice . Go to trips to t ebusy towns then go back to quiet . Holidays are never long enough . Could be there for a month and not long enough . Parking isn't the best in Moniga , not clear which is free and which is residential .
