Great attentive service esp during quiet winter season. Food at restaurant was better than expected. Breakfast included but the same every day. In 2 bedroom, would have been better if there were reading lights in main room. A little drive into resort but adds to the charm.

Everything was perfect, accommodations, staff, especially Riccardo, speaks perfect Portuguese and was extremely kind. Il Borro is a beautiful property located in Tuscany, 25 minutes from Arezzo. Our villa had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a beautiful living room! Breakfast is also great! We miss this place already.

This was place absolute perfection. Everything is carefully thought, arranged and designed to provide a delightful experience. We spent there on New Year’s Eve and the hotel had beautiful activities planed, including a great brunch for January 1st. The room smelled amazing, it was super clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the Tuscany hills. The owner John was very kind and attentive.

The property is beautiful and the staff are AMAZING! My friend and I arrived really underprepared, we didn’t have a car and it’s quite difficult to get around without one but the owner and his son bent over backwards to help us. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough you’ve just got to rent a car!

As soon as you enter in the Poggio di Gaville hotel, you instantly feel at home. You are welcomed by the nicest of smiles from the owners and their daughter, who take care of you in a way that is now rare to find. Surrounded by nature, with a very beautiful swimming pool, the hotel offers you the charm of toscan agriturismo experience. What is the absolute best is the cooking of the chef and owner of the place, Jamal: by far the best food we had in Toscani. A fusion of toscan, oriental, and other world flavors in very special recipes curated by the chef through a lifetime of travels. A simplicity combined with an elevation of flavors that are extremely rare. Each meal offered new dishes, well thought of by the chef. The only downside is that the focaccia was SO good that we will never be able to appreciate it anywhere else. Thank you Jamal and Samira for this beautiful experience and for your genuine hospitality, it is rare to find people who still have the passion to share experiences and stories with their guests; we hope to get the chance to cross path again.

The staff were so nice, when we got to the place we didn't have the microwave and stove that it says on the website that there would be, so we just went to the information and they offered to come with it right away and even drove us back to the place we stayed. When we left we forgot a wristwatch and they contacted us the day after we left and said they would mail it to us! The place was very beautiful and relaxing! And the meals we got served at the restaurant was delicious! I would 100% recommend!! And with a car it's even better, because there is free parking and there are some good winehouses in the area!

Luciano is a wonderful host and he has a really lovely apartment. The lodging is cosy and clean, it stays cool even in the heat of the Tuscan summer and the common pool is amazing, its sunbathing terrace has a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and valleys. We spent two wonderful nights here and can only recommend this to anyone who wants a little calm refuge from the bustling city life. We will return here for sure! :)

Montevarchi is a small town with a handful of restaurants. The location and The train station is excellent for travelling to other towns. Florence is only 45 minutes by train and the station parking is free.

Figline Valdarno is beautifully centrally located in Tuscany. You can take the train to Florence and Arezzo. Siena and even Lucca are easily accessible by car. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby. Sting has his pizzeria nearby. You will need a car.

This is a books that prides the service they provide. EVERYTHING was 5-star quality! The drive to the property was Florence airport was great—mainly highways and easy roads leading to the property. During our stay, the villa hosted a wine tasting watch was top quality—elegantly done and very informative.

If someone was staying for several days it would be ideal...

If someone was staying for several days it would be ideal for exploring central Italy, we only stayed one night as we were travelling on. Very nice accommodation and people, the restaurant food was very good and cooked fresh.

Total lack of proper management, and overall maintenance of...

Total lack of proper management, and overall maintenance of the property and apartment!!! Daily 'management' was strictly the responsibility of two, overworked, rather young and inexperienced ladies, working in shifts (hosting approx. 35 rooms and double the number of guests at least). Due to this, reception was largely unmanned, and no possibility to contact the management, at reception or by phone. Swimming pool (which was the only true accessory available at the location) was out of order and not cleaned/filtered for almost two days due to 'necessary' repairs (which should be done in low season or off season, NOT in high season!). Our daughter cut her foot on broken and very sharp tiles, which had become loose from the edge... A technical failure of our air conditioning, took over 2(!) days to get addressed (not solved!), only after I laid down a complaint and this in temperatures reaching 36°C and night temperatures not lower than 25°C (we stayed 7 nights). Yet, they are able to monitor the working of the AC in each room from the front dest! Breakfast was a true laugh, and therefore way too expensive to be called 'breakfast': the two 'team' personnel was very demotivated and not friendly at all, which resulted in a constant lack of replenishment of the food, the choice of which was very limited and not worthy of the price to be paid for!

Figline is an excellent small Italian town with classic piazza and narrow streets. It has excellent cafes and bars, with a range of cuisines and prices in the local restaurants. Everyone we met were friendly, and it was great to eat and drink in the piazza. Train station gives access to Florence, Arezzo and many other towns, and further afield to Pisa and Rome.

This is a real gem at 30 minutes from Florence, 38 minutes from Chianti region. We stayed 4 days and everything was amazing, we would have liked to stay longer. The service was outstanding, Manuela, Daniel, Matilde and Gulia (the chef) were always giving their best to make us feel home, attentive and caring. Food was delicious, we were looking forward to being back for having dinner. Breakfast and dinner with gluten free options as we requested. We would have liked to spend time enjoying the pool, terraces and surroundings full of nature. Rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy

I am obsessed with this place!

I am obsessed with this place! Excellent food, great service, beautiful grounds. Just an amazing escape from busy city. Access to Florence for museum day trips for about $100 per day round trip. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone who wants to feel well taken care of in a beautiful environment with great food and awesome views. Loved loved loved!

Very comfortable accomodation for 5 persons . Recommended for anyone who want to visit all the historical cities in Tuscany . The appartment owner is very communicative and reactive in case of any issues in the appartment . The only negative point is not directly linked to the appartment - too much mosquitoes outside in the location .
