The hotel was very new, clean and in a great location, close to everything we needed. The host was wonderful—friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The host even arranged an early morning taxi to the airport for us, which was a huge help. Highly appreciated!

After really staying in a hotel in Florence that was hell, coming to this hotel was humorous. The hell rooms were anything but hell but were rather smartly designed and comfort at its best. The room came with a fully stocked fridge with water, coke, beer and chocolate. The in room coffee was delicious. It is a sustainable hotel too, but they do not cut corners. Everything is very well thought out.

There are good & bad people everywhere.

There are good & bad people everywhere. In general we met more nice people than unpleasant ones. Because we are traveling with kids and didn’t have much time so everything was a bit more rushed. If you have more time then you could go slower pace and explore more. But given the time we had, we covered a lot of main attractions and got to experience the cultural aspects of Florence. It is a very walkable place and you don’t really need public transportation if you book nearby the main location. It is a beautiful city and very expensive country to visit overall.

Pisa in December is down to earth working and student city with quaint medieval streets leading from the centre where the tower is. Great Tuscan food, warm welcome and great for strolling and enjoying the atmosphere among the beautiful squares or along the river. Its a great location for travel across the region, with an easy to access airport. I found it very charming as a destination in its own right and plan to return soon.

I truly think Lucca is a must when visiting Tuscany.

I truly think Lucca is a must when visiting Tuscany. It's a short and easy train ride from Florence. It is a walled city that has a special charm inside of the walls, and you can walk the walls of the city! People stroll up there, ride their bikes, walk their dogs - it's lovely. The churches of Lucca are beautiful, wonderful shops and restaurants, art exhibits, Christmas festivities, it's a great place to spend a few days. We did a wine tasting experience in the countryside that was a fun & memorable experience as well.

A beautiful historic town and one of our favourite stays on our 10-day Italy roadtrip. We traveled as a couple (in our 35-40's), and highly recommend staying at La Romantica Lolo, having a private wine tasting at Ercolani, dining at Ristorante La Grotta, and truffle hunting at Podere il Casale (15-min drive).

There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenals

We are hikers and rock climbers, the location was good for climbing in nearby Monsummano, Several Via Ferattas are within an hour or two drive. Prato has a lot of historic buildings, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants hiding up side streets and in the squares. There’s also a large modern art gallery just outside - worth a visit if you like that kind of art. The railway station is a hub to get to all major cities - we travelled from Rome and then went on to visit Florence, Bologna and Pisa cheaply and easily.

The town is nice.

The town is nice. It is a quiet time of the year, but the merchants we encountered were friendly. The Terme Theia was ok, but the management inflexible when I tried to inform them of a booking error within 24hours of making it they did not reply to my emails, and when I spoke to the they said that once I paid there was no refund or changes. I prefer the Terme sensoriale, but unfortunately they are only open on weekends
