This place is so special, i am so glad we stayed here. If you are looking for a cosy warm feeling in a historical building (complete with creaky floors and small rooms) then you'll love it here. Its like being in a fairytale. Also have to give a shout out to the staff, they are the perfect mix of friendly and professional in such a warm way that you feel like you're welcomed into their home. Definitely leaving our stay with a strong pull to come back. If you're into modern features, minimalist design and generally luxury hotels, you should consider looking elsewhere - there are enough of those accommodations around too.

Location was a total surprise. Accessibility to Sellaronda lifts was unbeatable , either way selected to go ( clockwise or other way ) . Premises are refurnished ( gives a contemporary look with traditional mountain details ) , with a pool and spa on the third floor , never missed it in the 12 days at the Hotel. Dinner at the Hotel was a must . We had dinner at the Hotel every night , quality , service and no need to try other restaurants. Menu changed every day. All details cared of : at the room , ski lockers , restaurant and Spa ¡¡ and a very good systems for laundry , great help for skiers . Spa requires a full chapter, great.

1) Unique location: close to bus stops, shops, cable car and yet quiet 2) Wonderful large balconies - our room on the 4th floor had a view of the Fassa valley and the mountains. In the evenings we sat on the balcony until the mountains were no longer visible due to darkness 3) The hotel - although it was not small - had a friendly, almost family atmosphere, and the service was perfect. 3) Our room was large (I think it was over 30 m2) and had everything necessary for comfort 4) Breakfasts were very good: hot and cold. We can recommend this hotel even to diabetics: a large selection of bread, in addition to fruit, also vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans; also a large selection of muesli and nuts, i.e. products with a low glycemic index. Of course, there were also typical Italian breakfast products, such as fruit, cakes and desserts. Also a selection of cheeses, cold cuts and scrambled eggs. 5) The hotel's interior design felt like the hand of a good Alpine architect 6) Very clean 7) Everything, down to the smallest detail, was subordinated to the guests' comfort

This is a very beautiful hotel. Small and cozy but friendly, warm and inviting, and luxurious in an old-world European way, The spa and pool are gorgeous and so relaxing. The beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious, meticulously prepared, healthy, hearty and generous. It's located right at a chair lift to take you up for beautiful hikes on endless trails in the Dolomites with restaurants every 1.5 miles or so for drinks and Bavarian-style menu options. I can't recommend it enough for a nature-filled, relaxing mountain escape. The town and views are just gorgeous. Beware the drive up to Corvara in Badia is steep and on windy narrow roads for about 45 minutes. Really loved the salad bar every night I must add and the very friendly staff.

This hotel is amazing! We loved our stay so much. The staff was very friendly and nice. Breakfast is delicious and a lot of choice what to eat. Lunch and dinner are available for separate small price. Highly recommend taking it, desserts were unforgettable. Hotel also provided us free bus tickets to Ortisei (so nice and convenient). The bus stop is 1min walk. The room is big, clean and had a nice view and a terrace. We would definitely book again once we are back to the valley.

We visited in late September, so the town felt a bit quiet, but it had its own charm. The only open restaurant was the one in the hotel — and it turned out to be a great choice. Classic Italian cuisine and really tasty dishes. We loved the vintage atmosphere of the hotel, and the spa was a wonderful bonus for an affordable price. Perfect place to unwind after exploring the Dolomites.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Our room was two stories connected by a very narrow winding staircase which the kids loved but wouldn't be great for a person with less than full mobility. I'm sure there are other rooms but just something to be aware of.

Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda...

Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda domain and you need to take a couple of lifts up to the slopes. There are also buses to get to different parts of the domains, and though they run regularly their frequency changes. Apres-ski life is more on the quiet side in Canazei and while there are a lot of restaurants in the village, we didn't find anything the marked us. There's a great (but pricey) swimming pool and wellness center and shops are OK for such a village.

Everything was wonderful! Super clean, safe and close to attractions we took part in. A great place to hike from, to see the sites and to just sit back and enjoy the beauty all around! Getting to the location was easy...just recommend going slowly around the many turns to get up to the area you're headed....all worth it! We went up the mountain in the gondola and could hike around up there. We also ate lunch at the top and the food was great! Highly recommend! Several local shops were fun to go into. This area has a lot of great hiking available for novice to expert hikers.

Enjoyed every moment starting from great accommodation at...

Enjoyed every moment starting from great accommodation at LaTambra , easiest and perfect ski rental at Fistoll ski rental. Bus transfers free with accommodation. The only concern is to get to Santa Cristina from Innsbruck was not as convinient, used clever transfer and this company is not as reliable ( changed departure time last moment and there were no option to contact them)

If you like a quieter and more peaceful place to stay in I would choose Badia. Corvara was quite touristy. Also unfortunately Corvara does not have a well stocked supermarket, there is a DeSpar but it’s quite sad. There are two bakeries which are nice ones in Corvara. Food options are mostly only Italian food

Lovely central location in the dolomites!

Lovely central location in the dolomites! We were able to explore different areas each day and no matter where you stay, everything involves a bit of a drive through the valleys but we don't mind at all because you drive with lovely views and through charming villages and around every corner is a new view!!

Colfosco is great for the views.

Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.

Great base for sk-ing.

Great base for sk-ing. A variety of shops with quality souvenirs & lots of restaurants & bars which would appeal to all ages & pockets. A traditional town with beautifully painted buildings with stunning mountain views- particularly striking in the snow !

The town had everything we wanted in terms of services and...

The town had everything we wanted in terms of services and places to visit were all in close proximity of one another. We ate at the hotel on the main street as well as a pizzeria a few doors down from our place. The pizza was the best there. We enjoyed the hikes and mountain biking and shopping in town.

Very accessible by road, well set out town with great local buses run frequently service, travel card included with most accommodation. Good range of places to eat. Well stocked Spar supermarket. Amazing views.

Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.

Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.
