it was a last minute quick search on booking.com, this is an excellent place to stay all fully refurbished, large bedroom great bathroom, complimentary waters, the Breakfast has been one of the best in the 20 days traveling Italy, the young Lady who looked after all was a breath of fresh air she was so joyous at breakfast she uplifted my spirits for the Day , I think her Name was Baba I will use this hotel whenever I am near Turin or Villanova

Highly recommended hotel. Everyone from the staff is SUPER FRIENDLY (both at the reception and cleaning staff) and always trying to help, communication prior to arrival was very good as well. The hotel is perfectly located 100m from the main square but still we had a very quiet room with a window towards the courtyard. Air conditioning worked pretty well and we were able to reserve a car spot in the inner courtyard for 15€ per night. Breakfast was also very good so if we ever come back to Cuneo, we WILL VISIT CUNEO HOTEL AGAIN!

We were a group of 4 travelling from Spain to Slovenia and stayed here in May 2024. We needed a place close to the motorway, out of the city centre and had secure parking for our motorcycles. This hotel fit the bill and we we made very welcome and we were extremely comfortable there. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was huge and quiet. We liked it so much we will be using it again for our return journey.

Spacious, clean, mostly modern city; didn't feel too busy or crowded at all (unlike Milano or Rome). Easily accessible by train from other big Italian cities. Felt safe, maybe the most safe I've ever been in Italy and I've traveled a lot in many regions. Good local (Piemontese) food: both at restaurants and at the local market (pasta, cheese, porchetta, pizza). The best and most unique place for Italy in Torino is the Egyptian museum. I personally speak Italian but I managed to notice locals often speak really good English, incl. at service desks and at restaurants.

Alba has everything you need.

Alba has everything you need. Shops, restaurants and all amenities. There is free parking in the large carpark near the station. The older part of town is very pretty and full of wine and truffle shops. We did a wine tasting at the historic Pio Cesare which you need to organise in advance.

Moncalieri is 15-20 minutes by train to Torino so a bit more reasonable than in the city. It is a small borgo and is very quiet in August when most Italians are on holidays. We used it as a base for doing day trips and visiting the sights in Torino. It has a beautiful couple of churches and a nice piazza with several good restaurants. It is also a good base for day trips to wine country and the mountains. We didn't have a car so used the train to get out of town and walked everywhere else. You can walk (a long walk) from Moncalieri to Torino through Parco Valentino. It is a lovely forested walk along the river Po into the city. Torino is a beautiful and vibrant city.

We arrived by train at a beautiful but mostly abandoned train station (unfortunate because it is a beauty!!) Town is on a surfboard-shaped plateau with beautiful bridges that access it by car or train. I did a walk around the whole plateau and was awe-struck by the beautiful old buildings and surrounding valleys. Plenty of coffee shops and cafes/restaurants if you don't want to eat at your hotel. So glad to have made the overnight stop here on our way from Turin to Menton by train.

very little issues had the feeling staff were struggling for...

very little issues had the feeling staff were struggling for the fact end of the season and not really interested. Also felt there was nowhere to chill i.e sitdown and have a drink after dinner . was cold outsicde so couldnt sit outside

Fabulous apt. Well equiped with all you could need. Extremely clean . Lovely terrace. The welcome was wonderful. Daniele was so gracious Location 5 mins walk old town 10mins walk especially good for older people. Highly recommend

I was staying in Alessandria as a base to attend a wedding...

I was staying in Alessandria as a base to attend a wedding in a nearby town, so did not really do justice to visit all the possible sights. It seems a city with much cultural heritage including the cathedral and many churches. I had a great pizza meal at Ricci Le Nostre Pizza which was good value and I enjoyed it so much I went back there on my last night. Avoid evening walks by the river if you wan’t to avoid being bitten by midges!
