We loved all the facilities - the heated indoor pool, heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi and what a view from the pool and jacuzzi. There's a sauna, big warm relaxation room looking at the mountains opposite. Very nice selection for breakfast and the afternoon tea that's served between 2pm-6pm is excellent too. Sweet and savoury offerings. We enjoyed the dinner selections too. 4 courses including the salad starter which had a huge selection.

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities...

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It caters for all levels so is great for all. You can go hang-gliding, horse riding, rafting. There is something for everyone.

A lovely little village, it has the basic amenities needed.

A lovely little village, it has the basic amenities needed. A great outdoor play area for children and a handful of good restaurants with traditional fayre and good beers and wine. There are limited shops, due to the size of the village, but one is so close to bigger towns that everything is a short drive away if you need more. The location is ideal as a springboard for outdoor activities and exploring. We were close to family friendly skiing a short drive north, and equally to the town of Meran, a short drive south.

It's one of those villages that "gets" to you.

It's one of those villages that "gets" to you. The village itself has very narrow streets (thankfully, many are one way only as some only barely fit one car) but the surrounding area offers plenty of hiking trails and the local waterfall, which is rather impressive. Plus this is one of THE wine and fruit growing regions in Southern Tyrol so there are plenty of locally grown foods available and I highly recommend stopping at the many stalls in the area that sell those products.

The village is small but well equipped with all the...

The village is small but well equipped with all the amenities. It's also within a 30-45 minute walk to Merano, either via the higher pathway (i.e. the Algunder Waalweg) or via lower streets. On Friday mornings there is an organic vegetable market in the side street close to the EuroSpar grocery store that sells delicious local produce.

We think that it should have been more clearly explained...

We think that it should have been more clearly explained that this place can only be accessed by car pr private taxi and the car must be very strong and capable as the only narrow road is exceptionally steep and awkward and very long...twenty minutes to the nearest supermarket and restaurants by car and the telephone connection was very difficult to contact owners also bad on the email communication However once we reached the hotel we were very pleased withe facilities ,the view was thrilling(1,300 meters high)and kind hosts and delicious meal in the evening,,,,,THIS needs to be advertised as it did not say that they had their own evening restaurant and so it was wonderful.....they also should say before you go to the hotel you must bring cash as they do NOT accept credit cards

This lower area of Lagundo, where my hotel is, is not the best. There is another area of Lagundo, higher in the side of the mountain, with better view and nicer ways to take a ride. But Lagundo is often chosen to stay, because it's near Meran. Center of Meran is about 2,5 km from the hotel. From my point of view, Meran is a must in Sudtirol (and in the Alps).

It is a very nicely located town in the Tirol region with...

It is a very nicely located town in the Tirol region with many hikes that start from your door. The town doesnt have many restaurants or food stored but you the next town Algund is a short drive away. In April when we went it was rather warm but with winds in the afternoon.
