They helped me by phoning, then when I returned all 3 at different times to ask if I was ok. They had great beer at the bar after a very hot but productive day.

Every region of Italy has something special to offer, and Parma (the Po Valley, Emilia-Romagna) is no exception. Parma is a small modern town loaded with charm. It is perfectly flat, so walking or biking is effortless. We arrived by train via Bologna, and it was a 5-minute walk to the duomo. Our rooms were in Palazzo dalla Rosa Prati right next to the baptistry; excellent. Not a lot of impressive architecture, but don't miss the reconstructed Farnese Theatre. We became "regulars" for drinks at bar/pizzeria Marvisi, but also had many exquisite meals in other restaurants. Discovered a type of prosciutto from a little town north of Parma named Zibello; wow!. It's an easy day trip to Bologna (also smaller than I expected) for more great prosciutto, cheese, wine, and shopping. Can't wait for our next visit!

Lovely town with plenty to see and do. Not overwhelmed by tourists so still a very authentic Italian way of life. Amazing food - drogeria de la rosa was superb. The people were super friendly and helpful. You can walk everywhere and the colonnades are everywhere to protect you from rain or direct sunlight. A perfect base to do day trips from in the Emilia-Romagna zone.

Food here is the BEST in Italy.
Food here is the BEST in Italy. Have travelled everywhere and Emilia-Romagna is heads and shoulders above all other regions for quality of pastas, sauces and my favourite - Tortellini. Prices are very good here aswell. Friday is a must for the market in the centre of the city. Parking is available underneath the main square and there is an fantastic selection of market stalls selling from cheap to high quality.

Bologna is a well preserved university town/city. It is a walkable city with kilometres of porticos to keep you protected from the weather. It is full of interesting historical buildings, churches, museums , cafes, markets and shopping. It is also a foodie haven for people like me. In almost every corner there is a shop selling all manor of food from the Emilia-Romagna region. It is a city worth spending a few days in.

The people are warm and friendly.
The people are warm and friendly. There are lots of really interesting churches, religious and cultural sites to visit. Everything we love about Italian food seems to come from the Emilia-Romagna region! It felt like we didn't stop eating and drinking and it was all fabulous. The fresh pasta, the signature dishes, the pork cheeks, the mortadella, the cheese, the wine.... The aperitivo tradition of providing food with your wine or spritz from about 6.30pm is a great way to try local foods, a cheap way to fill up on good food, and also makes sure you never need a starter if you do go on to a restaurant.

Bologna is an excellent base for travel in Emilia-Romagna. Good autostrada access to surrounding World Heritage towns. Central Bologna is beautiful and lively. Lots of flights from the UK. Public transport is pretty good and easy to use.

A great city if you enjoy food.
A great city if you enjoy food. The Bolognese certainly do and the many bars and restaurants are always full at meal times. The city centre is small enough to walk around but transport is also easily accessible. The Emilia-Romagna region is also home to the Motor Valley where you can get up close to Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc.

I spent the whole week in the hotel during Ironman Emilia-Romagna. The location of the hotel is amazing, right at the end of the transition. Highly recommend it. Hotel & room were clean, staff was very nice, however, some of them could have a better command of English. If I will come back to Cervia definitely will use Hotel Kiss.

I've stayed here before and it was wonderful, which is why I returned with my friends. It was a great feeling when the staff at check in and in the breakfast room recognized me and remembered my cappuccino preference.....it's those little things right? One of our rooms had a sea view which was amazing as before. The breakfast was substantial and had a large variety to choose from.....with perfectly made cappuccinos. The hotel i very well located, just a few steps from the beach, although we were there during the recent rain deluge and flooding which plagued Emilia Romagna but it was a short walk to Viale Ceccarini and the historic center of Riccione. Everything was close and accessible. This was a perfect short stay to offer us a relaxing few days after a month of constant walking and traveling.....and I got to visit with my relatives! The rooms were clean and sparkling! The staff at the desk very warm and welcoming, as were the cleaning staff and restaurant staff.

Nice clean hotel. Very comfy bed and pillows. I slept like a baby every night. The window shutters are pitched black! (Which I loved!!!) You need to put alarm or else you will wake up late!! Bagno 169's staffs are great and very friendly. They are about to close the kitchen when we arrive but they still served us even we are 12 persons. Much appreciated.
