I had a lovely stay at the Innerwalten. The staff is very friendly, rooms are comfortable and clean, very cozy and familiar hotel. I also enjoyed breakfast, very complete with local products, and dinner. The location is a 12min drive from San Leonard. I found it very peaceful and in general, it exceeded my expectations.

We truly enjoyed staying at Josef Mountain Resort hotel. Staff was wonderful, and helpful with all our inquiries. Food was lovely, and we particularly enjoyed the dinner where three different menus were offered every evening. Light lunch was also offered with pasta, salads and desserts. The hotel is right next to the lift to Merano 2000, which was super convenient, and there are also several hiking trails in the vicinity of the hotel. We travelled with our daughter, and young lady at hotel's Kids Club was great, our daughter happily played there a couple of times per day. There is a nice paddle pool for smaller kids, as well as several additional bigger pools. The Forest Spa area at 4th floor was also lovely with a nice relaxation area and an outside heated pool. We will for sure come again.

the breakfast was amazing, but we didn't like the dinner a lot, the hotel is specific for relaxation, the location is amazing and the concept is amazing I respect this a lot. the cable idea and view from the room are perfect. we suggest extending the wifi to 12 because there is no cellular service on the mountaintop, and the location was a little bit far, 2 hours drive to lakes, but it was worth it. north Italy was amazing! for relaxing hiking spas etc, this hotel is fit and worth it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An exceptional boutique hotel! We booked a standard double room, but the experience went far beyond our expectations. In reality, the room is even more beautiful than in the photos (which already looked great). Everything was perfectly thought out — spotless clean, fully equipped, and with an amazing view. The welcome was wonderful, and Marius at the reception made us feel immediately at home. A true 6-star place, not just 5. We’ll definitely come back!

We have been in Alpenschlössl in December 2022. Very clean, good spa area with attentive personnel. This part of hotel is great for people who wants to have more calm atmosphere than in the main building. By the way very good quality of manicure, a that is rare to find. Takes time but worth it 100%. Cool bar with view, a cocktails and intertainment. I have forgotten my belongings in the room and they were sent directly home. Service was great!

There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine.

There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. On rainy days, there are castles, the Terme spa/pools. Overall, it's a very nice town with a lot to do.

Schenna is a beautiful town high on the mountainside above Meran. The views over Meran and the valley to mountains and the Alps are stunning. The town has restaurants, a cafe and bars. In summer, you can begin hiking from town or drive further up the mountain to beautiful trails of every level of difficulty. In winter, you can take the cable car to the ski resort of Meran 2000.

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities...

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It caters for all levels so is great for all. You can go hang-gliding, horse riding, rafting. There is something for everyone.

A very pretty, friendly, place with excellent restaurants serving delicious food and wine. Although I was there on business, the fresh air, mountain views and scenic town made it an excellent, relaxing experience. I'd have stayed a day longer had I known!

In this area, there aren’t too many hotels where you can have both breakfast and dinner. We stayed for one night and were satisfied — everything was available and clean, although the rooms might seem a little dated. Breakfast was good with a wide selection, and the hosts were very friendly.

A lovely little village, it has the basic amenities needed. A great outdoor play area for children and a handful of good restaurants with traditional fayre and good beers and wine. There are limited shops, due to the size of the village, but one is so close to bigger towns that everything is a short drive away if you need more. The location is ideal as a springboard for outdoor activities and exploring. We were close to family friendly skiing a short drive north, and equally to the town of Meran, a short drive south.

Nice small village near Merano with plenty opportunities for walking and proximity to Merano attractions. We visited during off-season, so most of attractions and restaurants were closed, but we had many Christmas activities in Alto Adige, even Schenna had tiny market.

The village is small but well equipped with all the amenities. It's also within a 30-45 minute walk to Merano, either via the higher pathway (i.e. the Algunder Waalweg) or via lower streets. On Friday mornings there is an organic vegetable market in the side street close to the EuroSpar grocery store that sells delicious local produce.
