This was a great stay just a short drive from Stykkishólmur over a gravel road, which made it feel that much more secluded and enveloped in nature! A long day of traveling ended on a sweet note, with incredible friendly staff who explained hotel procedures and accommodations. I had unfortunately arrived after restaurants had closed for the night, but she was so kind to whip me up a sandwich given the circumstances. Fantastic and clean rooms made this stay very cozy! I had utilized their laundry services as well, which were quick and easy.

Due to bad weather conditions we were forced to stay here, but I am very grateful for the staff, especially Ana, the manager, for being kind and compassionate with us. If we have not stopped there we would have been forced to wait out the weather induced roadblocks elsewhere possibly in our car. Otherwise the room was nice especially the view.

This award-winning, eco-friendly hotel is on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, 6 km from Iceland’s famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano. staff are very friendly. we were forced to stay one more night because roads are closed due to weather condition. we asked the staff a lot of questions and they are very helpful to address our concerns. hotel manger is also helpful on this matter. very appreciate.
