take a pony ride if you can it is absolutley the best way to appreciate the amazing landscapes and the ponies are very very well behaved

Bosnia and HerzegovinaPlace was really clean and nicely set up. When we arrived staff upgraded our room free of charge. Even let us park the car right next to the enterance since we had to set it up for longer trip.
Hot tubs were really nice touch and these were free of charge.

We loved our room looking out over the rushing river. Very peaceful at night with a very comfy bed and pillows. Lighting in the room was great. So many hotels — even the expensive ones— are so poorly lit you cannot see in the bathroom mirrors or the sleeping area. The breakfast offered good options and the front desk was extremely kind to offer us a brown bag breakfast the morning we had to leave super early before the restaurant opened. Great restaurant just across the street called Krisp.

We loved our stay at ION.
The staff were all so friendly, it was a very relaxed vibe and there was always someone there to talk to if needed. We loved our meals there.
The lava spa was lovely, the pool and sauna are so peaceful.
We managed to loose our purse on the way home and the incredible team had it brought back to us in the city which was so unexpected and incredibly kind.

We also got to see northern lights there when the sky was clear. I would recommend this place for northern lights since it's far away from city lights and kind of isolated from the main roads. We saw the lights from right outside the hotel, din't even have to drive outside.

Great place in south of Iceland.
The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life.
It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself.
What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself. It was in fantastic conditions and modern styled which made it feel very luxury.
We ate at the restaurant which has the same owner as the cottages, and though it was a great selection of food - it was not the best for me who's gluten intolerant. However, they were super helpful and made sure I got something as well.

Without exaggeration, this property is very Dirty and unkept, there was fecal matter on the underside of the toilet seat, the floors were dirty and there was only 1 face towel and no other towels for 4 adults.
mattresses were old and too soft, pillows all but useless.
at 16:40 they sent and email that reception would close at 17:00.
we had a hard time finding the room, other guests helped us. there was no phone to get service (clean the room or change it, get clean towels, etc.)
breakfast was mediocre.
before leaving at 10:00 I went to the reception but office was closed until 11:00. the experience was very disappointing and the hosts non existent and oblivious to the guests.
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

We did two day-trips in the full days we had staying here, one to the North and northwest, the other to the northeast. We also saw things on the way from the KEF Airport, and on our way to the next destination on the Ring Road.

The small town is founded around the hot springs - there was a geothermal park in the centre where you can boil an egg in the hot spring and eat delicious rye bread cooked in geothermal steam. We also hiked up to the geothermal river to bathe in the warm water surrounded by snow!
