This little piece of Eden is situated in the middle of nowhere, yet it's extremely easily approachable. Beautiful calm environment, with direct view of the Aurora (when it happens of course). It was very clean and calm, especially the slow mornings with the sunrise. The house is on flat area, so it's easy to maneuver, but you're surrounded with mountains, so the view is great. The colors of the sun in this part of the countryside was truly beautiful.

There was an issue with our room but the staff were amazing & moved us straight away into the hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious & had a very ambient atmosphere. The room was warm & comfortable & it's the first time in our travels that we had a TV in the room. Great bathroom & easy parking.

Beautiful setup in cottage style. We had a junior suite for us and a deluxe room for the kids. Both were great. Particularly junior suite was very spacious with a beautiful bath with open shower. The atmosphere around is utterly beautiful. Private hot tubs right outside.

We loved it here and breakfast was worth it! A lot to choose from and the restaurant is very nice also. actually we ended up eat dinner two times there because it was sooo delicious! Staff is very kind and supportive :) we are highly recommend to stay here

The small hotel was so beautiful. The restaurant, the room (with a huge TV, a huge bed and nice garden view), all perfectly decorated.
Above all, we loved the 2 cosy outdoor hot tubs in their rock garden. Thank you!

Great place in south of Iceland.
The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life.
It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

Without exaggeration, this property is very Dirty and unkept, there was fecal matter on the underside of the toilet seat, the floors were dirty and there was only 1 face towel and no other towels for 4 adults.
mattresses were old and too soft, pillows all but useless.
at 16:40 they sent and email that reception would close at 17:00.
we had a hard time finding the room, other guests helped us. there was no phone to get service (clean the room or change it, get clean towels, etc.)
breakfast was mediocre.
before leaving at 10:00 I went to the reception but office was closed until 11:00. the experience was very disappointing and the hosts non existent and oblivious to the guests.
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself.
What I liked most was the location and the cottage itself. It was in fantastic conditions and modern styled which made it feel very luxury.
We ate at the restaurant which has the same owner as the cottages, and though it was a great selection of food - it was not the best for me who's gluten intolerant. However, they were super helpful and made sure I got something as well.

The small town is founded around the hot springs - there was a geothermal park in the centre where you can boil an egg in the hot spring and eat delicious rye bread cooked in geothermal steam. We also hiked up to the geothermal river to bathe in the warm water surrounded by snow!
