Snow Valley Heights is nothing short of excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous and offered a high standard of service. The food was great and good value for money. The standard of cleanliness was high and the cleaning staff were very helpful. The location is great with beautiful views from the rooms. On Christmas Day we even received a complimentary plate of cakes and chocolates which was a lovely surprise when we returned to the hotel after an afternoon out. Absolutely no complaints at all.

Excellent facilities and extremely attentive staff who go out of the way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The outside breakfast area, the sunroom, and the Jacuzzi / Pool area have to be amongst the best anywhere in the world. We traveled with our 4 year old and the staff service and care was exceptional throughout the stay!

Recently we have visited to Shimla and stayed here. It was a great experience. Very well maintained posh rooms and u'll get beautiful Pine trees view in ur room as there is a big clear glass window also attached balcony so u can get real view. Bathroom was very clean. They have provided Geyser for warm water in basin and tap, soap, shampoo, clean towel, clean quilt, blanket and electric kettle too. I have mentioned clean because everything was actually clean. There is a smart TV in room.There is another living room beside ur room for lunch or dinner. Staff service boy is very hard working.The Hotel's owner Mr. Chetan is very friendly n polite. He also came many times to ask us that If we need something. Food was delicious. They manage many things as per ur wishes. Had a great experience and it made our Shimla tour memorable. Thank u Chetan bhaiya next time whenever we'll get plan about Shimla, definitely we will come to you.

I recently visited a vegetarian boutique property by Jomotel group. Being a strict vegetarian i'm always concerned about whether the property takes due care of the needs. It was a very comfortable stay with greenery in the midst of an orchard overlooking a picturesque valley view. The staff closely looked after my needs taking care of every small details. The rooms are cosy, beautiful with wooden and stone work and the views fromt he room itself is breathtaking. I would highly recommend this place for people who want spme peace & quiet from the hustle bustle of the city life.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Willow Bank. The room was comfortable. A portable heater was provided and it was much needed during winter time. Although the portable heater could not warm up every corner of the room, we could stay warm in bed. The balcony had a good view to the town. During our stay at Shimla, we experienced both sunny day with clear sky and stormy day with fresh snow. No matter what the weather was, our room was always cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our dinner time at the adjacent Cafe Simla Times. We were also grateful that the hotel arranged assistance to help with luggages after we checked out.

From my opinion shimla is a great place for those who just visited Himachal for the very first time. But if you want to see snowfall in shimla you have to visit in late december or in january or you could go to Manali from shimla which is 6 hours straight drive.

Solan is a developed city now.

Solan is a developed city now. Try getting mountain view rooms with a balcony if you are looking for some peace and nature! You will get cafes easily and a lot of shops on mall road. Busses and auto rickshaws are easily available however the former is the cheaper option.

Chail is a place for those who love nature and want to be away from crowds and the noise of city life. We enjoy walking and Chail has many walking treks in the forest. We would love to go out into the forest and hear the sound of myriad birds and even get to see a few rare ones. What is disappointing is that the Himachal Govt. can make this place more tourist friendly but they have failed so badly. Even maintaining the Palace in Chail which is in a remarkably beautiful location is so PATHETIC that one wonders why they charge Rs200 entry per person and all one sees is a palace that is worn down and has musty carpets and a sense of neglect all over. They could spruce up the place and attract so many people but i don't think they know how to be tourist friendly. Greatly disappointed with the Himalayan nature Park in Kufri where the animals were either not there or they looked half dead. Roads all over Himachal were bad and bumpy and it took us long to get from one place to another. Such a lot of potential for attracting tourism but enough is not done.

A place located at a very good location with a breathtaking view. However reaching there is little diffixult as last 5 kms is kaccha rasta and a difficult one. But they arrange for pick up and drop which helps a lot. Room beds could have been better.

Kandaghat is middle place, from where you have 3 great...

Kandaghat is middle place, from where you have 3 great tourist hill stations at equal distances : Shimla , Chail & Kasauli. Kufri is at a distance, midway between Shimla & Chail. So, if you are on bike or car from Delhi for shimla, please take a halt at Kandhaghat, may for a day and then start you journey next day with high energy.

I hope Simla authorities wake up from slumber and start limiting the number of tourists allowed to come up. Simla used to be beautiful and heavenly. I've grown up in Simla partly and was heartbroken to see the administration and municipal apathy, and greed in full display. Unless you've got people to see and meet at Simla, I suggest giving it a wide berth. Leave it alone. Let it heal.

Solan has some good city parks about which no one talks, Jawahar park very close situated within walking distance. Otherwise it is a base for out of solan visits into nearby locations like Kasauli, Shimla. Bus service to all tourist locations outside solan is easily available. Within city shared auto service runs on a designated pathway. Solan is totally urbanized centre with not much greenery. The visit to Jatoli Shiv Mandir was memorable with beautiful greenery and beautiful Mandir.

Shimla is a special place and wonderful in the rains. The colonial architecture and mist views are very evocative and it is somewhere everyone should visit. The town is lively and full of people enjoying. Well worth a visit.

Convenient location, easy to move to nearby sightseeing places and return on the same day. Local administration is doing a good job in maintaining discipline. The town is neat and clean and has a lot of shopping centers, banks, clinics, hospitals, schools and colleges. Roads are well maintained; repairs are attended promptly. The motorists can have smooth rides on the highway. Internal roads are congested. Mall Road needs some face lifting. Overall, it is a good place to have a second home. Not so cold.
