From the moment we arrived at Maharaja The Royal Resort, we were greeted with warm hospitality and regal ambiance that lives up to its name. Nestled near the serene lake, the Lake View Room we stayed in was an absolute delight – spacious, tastefully decorated, and designed to offer uninterrupted views of the tranquil waters. The room featured a large window and balcony overlooking the lake, which made for the perfect spot to enjoy early morning tea or unwind in the evening. The interiors blended traditional charm with modern comfort – plush bedding, elegant curtains, ambient lighting, and a well-maintained ensuite bathroom with all essentials provided. What stood out most was the attention to detail and cleanliness. The housekeeping team ensured everything was spotless and well-arranged each day. Service and hospitality were top-notch. The staff was courteous, quick to respond, and always went the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable. Whether it was arranging a boat ride or suggesting local spots to explore, they were knowledgeable and accommodating. We also loved the poolside area, which stays open till late – a rare and thoughtful offering. The restaurant served delicious meals – from local flavors to dishes, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. For those looking for a peaceful getaway with luxury, nature, and culture combined, the Lake View Room at Maharaja The Royal Resort is an unmatched experience. The best thing we liked about the hotel was the warm hospitality and how well the staff managed everything. The food was delicious, and the managing team was always attentive and professional. This is newly built hotel which has very friendly and welcoming staff. They were able to accommodate my request very well and I was very impressed with the warm hospitality of all staff members. The hotel construction hasn’t fully completed but I enjoyed my stay so far.

After the first night there, I booked into another hotel.

After the first night there, I booked into another hotel. I couldn't wait to get out of that depressing atmosphere. I had to stay in my room for a long time each day to work, but it was too depressing to be in such a dilapidated room. It was filthy & mattress worn out. Tiles were cracked. Do not waste your $ on such a filthy place. REceptionist doesn't understand English. I had to write it on a piece of paper for her to read. It is not a hotel set up for tourist. After the first night there, I went to the counter & barked at the receptionist, "Checking out. Not happy here." She asked me to see the manager, but I couldn't be bothered. I made it clear I would give them a poor review, for the room supplied was too appalling.

It was fairly a clean area.

It was fairly a clean area. The wall arts were a feast to travellers . Malls in this area were also well facilitated. However Railway station n premises were very unclean and slushy when rains. rain water draining system to be improved and these public areas to have more civil servants and volunteers to assist commuters.Public transport facilities to support night travellers to be improved!

This is a village, NOT APART OF MUMBAI.

This is a village, NOT APART OF MUMBAI. The people here were very pleasant but not prepared for visitors. There are not many options for shopping and eating. As a woman, I felt very unsafe at night as some of the locals would not even let me call my own taxi because of the crime against women there.
