Staff was the best. Took care of our breakfast needs, evening drinks, trip to the desert and also transportation to the city. Great view, centrally located. Lots of restaurants close by. When you stay there the owner takes care of you in a very friendly manner. You get advices, explanations about the place to visit and actually any help for your needs. Aju made the experience amazing. He was always there when we needed something and even took us to a pharmacy when one of us had a small injury. He is a gem. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and we found it very beautiful. Location is only 15 min walk from the fort, in a quiet street. Great view on the fort from the rooftop.

Staff and managment, made us feel like family and did everything they could to help us prepare for Rickshaw Run adventures during our stay with them. They arranged for pickup at the airport for us. We had the pleasure of joining a overnight stay in Thar Desert with Shahi Camel/Desert safari. It included visiting Kuldhara, a oasis, local village, camelriding to a private dune, food made on bonefire and a night under the stars. We were able to see the Milky way and shooting stars. A night for the memory books.

Amazing stay in the Thar Desert. The camp is approx 50mins from Jaisalmer and you can arrange a transport with the property at an additional charge. The tents are huge, comfy and clean. The place is very quiet and immersed in the desert. They take you to the dunes for sunset and after that they offer a very nice cultural show at an additional cost. They also offer beautiful dinner in the dunes under the stars for an additional charge. The check-out btw is at 10am and not at 11am as written.

Excellent and well maintained property. Huge property, being personally looked after by the promoters hence it is very neat, clean and well maintained. The staff is very courteous & helpful always ready to help. Brakefast spread is quite good many options are available with some Rajasthani dishes. Lunch Dinner menu is also large with good option. Food is quite tasteful which is required during holidays and relaxing period.

The stay at Renuka Hotel was very nice. The hotel is located in a small street, near nice restaurants, the main market street and to the Haveli’s. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. And to finish the staff was amazing, good hearted people. Always keen for a chat and here to help in anyway they can. I recommend this place as it is a nice hotel to relax in and have a peaceful moment outside the city rage.

We were in the honeymoon suite & it was fantastic! A view from the bed, our own private balcony plus a sitting area that was almost just for us! Our group had the whole hotel & we could not have been looked after better. The breakfasts were fabulous- must try the plain cheese omelette!! And chai masala was brewed whenever requested. Devine

Incredible view from the roof. Beautiful, charming and unique, steeped in history. The staff are so helpful. The property is very quiet at night. Remember to ask the staff to meet you at the bottom of the fort to get your bags as it’s quite a bumpy trek to the top of the fort with suitcases.

Small town with "Sonar Kella" (Golden Castle) and the desert attraction. One has to extend his/her budget for Hotels/Tents by 2-3 times (than a normal city) to enjoy a good property.

To be honest I thought it would be a continuous desert beyond Jaisalmer before our visit there. Know that the dunes are formed at certain places only. But they are obviously out of the world. One has to visit it once.

Jaiselmer has a lot to offer.

Jaiselmer has a lot to offer. Keep one day for desert safari and maybe sunset but avoid desert camps they are highly commercialized and do not offer a lot of room amenities. However, if you are only looking for a basic room and perhaps hot water in the morning, do give it a shot One day for Jaiselmer fort/ patwa palace and light and sound at he Gadisar lake, One day for a trip to Longewala border and museum, royal cenotaphs and can leave that evening.

If you want to visit proper desert with Sandunes then Sam is...

If you want to visit proper desert with Sandunes then Sam is the place. Gets a bit crowded during winter season but it's ideal climate to visit Jaisalmer. You can do Jeep Safari for sunset and sunrise. Same with camel safari. Desert bike and parasailing also available. If you are traveling in winter grab some warm clothes as it gets really cold in the mornings and evenings especially due to the winds. there are tons of camps and most of them offer cultural program. There are also lots of restuarants around and personal vehicle can be really helpful.

Jaisalmer is an amazing place and over the years I have...

Jaisalmer is an amazing place and over the years I have travelled there, the place gets better and better. I love that many of the old havelis in the town are being restored. It's not a big place, but has much to offer. I believe Jaisalmer is a must for anyone wanting to see the real Rajasthani lifestyle.
