From Joseph who seems to be everywhere in service, to head chef and creator of all things delicious Divyanshi along with her chef Dave, as well as Suhas the restaurant manager, bartenders Nitesh and Survita, servers Zeenith, Sachin, as well as Pooja up front, all the way to the management, Anuj ,Shailendra, Mr Ganguly and the General Manager Mr Gupta, they are all wonderful people! You cannot go wrong with The Astor!

It is right on the spot. Location is amazing. Breakfast is good, view from the kitchen area is beautiful, swimming pool is clean and very peaceful, the greenery is breathtaking. You can rent scooters from the hotel guard aswell. There will be no noise disturbances when sleeping as per the other reviews i read previously before booking the hotel. I had very peaceful sleep. Worth the money. If i come back goa, i will come back to this hotel.

This place was absolutely amazing. The room was really big, breakfast buffet was very nice, and the meals at the restaurant were also very tasty and fulfilling. Staff was extremely friendly and we felt very well taken care of! The location is also great with direct access to the beach as well as the main street with lots of shops.

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the...

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the social media. Terrible traffic and congested roads...you will waste most of your time travelling. Even 2km distance takes 30 o 40 mins . Very noisy beaches with filthy food and drinks overcharged and simply looting the tourists. Always check the price of the food and drinks in case you decide to eat something from the beach restaurants. Conclusion - south goa is the best and agoda fort/beach truly picturesque. Stay in south and just visit 1 or 2 beaches in the north preferably in the early hours (6 to 7am) and come back.

Traffic is a nightmare.

Traffic is a nightmare. Trying to cross the Main Road pretty much anytime of the day is an experience. First i've visited in many years but never remembered it being that bad. Good food everywhere though

It is not easy to get around Anjuna, everything is very spread out and at night the wild dogs are quite agressive which I struggled with. I enjoy walking, but here you need to have a car / scooter or take lots of taxis. The market was good, we ate in nice restaurants like The Tanjore Tiffin (a bit more up market and we loved it), MS Slow Tide and Pirates Cafe on the beach. We also had a night out in Juna nightclub - good fun with great cocktails. Overall I didn't like Anjuna much, we were there in the low season and we struggled with getting around and all the dogs. It really depends what you're looking for, but for me Candolim was a better location and we left Anjuna early to return there.

A great city with lots to do, and some lovely restaurants. Walking tours are a great way to see the city and the surroundings. I particularly recommend Old Goa, Divar Island, and Fontainhas. Local tour operator Make it Happen are great

Mandrem Beach clean with a number of beach shacks serving good food and drinks / meals during the day and meals at night on the beach or in their shacks. Water clean. Life guards on duty but not needed. Not crowded. Easily got a sun lounge very day.

Good locality.

Good locality. Not very close to busy side of Calangute and Baga. Not very far which is secluded. It is apt location as within 10 mins you can be on beach and busy place and can come back in quiet location for peaceful vacation. Also, for basic needs you have few stores nearby so you can manage easily with some restaurants nearby.
