Great rooms, on the ground floor, were so comfortable. Staff were happy to accommodate requests, and provide vegan options at breakfast and dinner. Super comfortable chairs and sofa in suites. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the Jacuzzi bath was a great, luxury addition. Maura, the other reception staff and the breakfast staff made us feel welcome and appreciated, and were happy to accommodate our requests. The Ivy Lounge has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff there were professional and efficient, and attentive without being fussy. Our party included 1 vegan, and we tried most items on the menu during our stay. All our choices were very good. Will definitely recommend to friends and would love to stay there again.

The Lake Hotel has its charm and nostalgia being situated in Killarney National Park overlooking Muckross Lake. The Lake Hotel was able to move our check-in date forward one day for a two nights stay without charge. We requested to be seated for breakfast by the window to admire the beautiful lake views. We had clothes laundry service with same day turnaround time. Live music entertainment was played in the bar lounge on both nights. On our day of arrival, our room was not ready as we checked in much earlier than scheduled time. We sat by the bar for drinks and were greeted by Niall Huggard, General Manager and Co-Proprietor of the Lake Hotel. How's that for hotel service?

Plenty of craic!

Plenty of craic! Lots of opportunities to shop, eat, drink, enjoy the Irish hospitality! Loved every minute of it. The traffic around the center was a bit of a nightmare, but what city isn't? We parked the car for the time there, and walked everywhere or grabbed a horse drawn buggy or tour bus. It was pretty awesome.....

Visiting Dingle offseason (early December) has its advantages. Some places were closed though most are open by the weekend. The weather is cool and often wet but that did not limit our visit. It is a great town with many choices for lunch and dinner and the live music is available someplace nightly. The people are very friendly and the beauty of the place is truly enchanting. Once you have identified the one-way streets and found good parking, driving around Dingle is not difficult. The drive around the Dinge peninsula is easy - and do take the side roads to the shoreline and various attractions.

I’ve hardly missed a yearly trip to Tralee in over 40 years I’ve been to every attraction in Tralee and surrounding areas nowadays I take a more leisurely approach a few pints meet up with longtime mates and generally have a good time! Usually visit Sean ogs, corner bar, mall bar, greyhound bar ,the huddle bar etc!and for the best and freshest fish on the planet quinnauls near the square!

Listowel is a friendly town.

Listowel is a friendly town. There's some good eating options and small family run bars for a drink. There's a good amount of small businesses, including an excellent Butchers, hardware shops, as well as St Johns Art Centre. You can also walk all along by the river, and have easy access to the greenway too.

Lots to do and see!

Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.

It's just 20 mins away from Kilarney National Park - which we visited last (just the Waterfall) Perfect if you plan on visiting Ring of Kerry and wish to take a lap around it - we have managed to see all the highlights (northern-side, i.e. Cahersiveen, Valentia, ending on the Cliffs of Kerry, then driving through the south absolutely gobsmacked with the views) If you want to visit Ring Of Kerry we recommend 2 days there as we wish we spent more and explore South side - definitely visit Valentia and Cahersiveen (coffee at Lazy Cat with view at the cathedral and shopping in the near gift shop) The views or Ring of Kerry are spectacular - Canary Islands, Canada, Zakopane, Peru (one word: Ireland), all mixed up! BIG LOVE!

Sneem is one of the most picturesque villages in all Ireland, two compact squares divided by the Sneem River. Excellent pubs are D. O'Shea's, Murphy's and Riney's. Had good quality evening meals in D. O'Shea's Pub and the Sneem Hotel. The area is a walker's paradise, whether easy, self-guided walk along the Kerry Way, or two looped, way-marked trails, or more adventurous hill-walking in the high mountains. For the latter, contact Mountain Leader Fergal in Alaind Lodges for guided walks.
