The staff both at reception and in the restaurant could not have been more friendly and attentive. My friend and I felt like a couple of VIPs. The beds were so comfortable, with stunning decor and luxurious bathrooms.
Plus we had a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening, and an enormous and delicious breakfast in the morning.
We could not recommned the Faithlegg more. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Before arrival, detailed information from the hotel about the car park and a special discount for hotel guests, wonderful carvery lunch, à la carte breakfast, very clean amd warm, brightly lit room (which I really like), very friendly and helpful staff, great location, on Saturday evening fantastic live music played by a vocal and guitar duo. Prices for this class of hotel are very friendly. We will definitely return to Granville Hotel.

Absolutely everything. We were treated like royalty as soon as we walked in the door. The staff are first class. Alessandro in the Bar Room pours the best guiness and makes a mean old fashioned! The grounds are gorgeous, our room was beautiful and the food exceptional. We had to leave early on our last day and the kitchen made us a pack of food and a coffee for the car. Now that's going above and beyond. Thank you

The Lodge is perfect for a family gathering. It is located in a quiet area and is approx 3 mins walk to the hotel and leisure facilities. The fire was lit on our arrival and it was so cozy. Everything that you would need is there in the lodge. Thank you!

Staff were lovelyl, I had my 2 children, 7 months and 3 year old. They were very helpful. Room was basic but very clean. Its very close to the beach and has its own carpark.

It is a beautiful place, so much to see and do. Winterval is amazing and the santa in the city square shopping centre was amazing. Great gifts for the kids and a lovely family photo too. Only €18 per child. No charge for adults.

Moorings by the Sea is an exceptional choice for a family holiday! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our wonderful hostess, who kindly informed us in advance about upcoming roadworks that would limit access to the property. This thoughtful communication was greatly appreciated and made our arrival smooth and stress-free.
The house itself is immaculate and well-maintained, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured we had restful nights. The location is simply perfect—just a 20-minute walk to the vibrant Tramore strip and a mere 10 minutes to the town center. Plus, having a bus stop right outside the door made exploring Waterford city a breeze, with buses running every 30 minutes.
Overall, I would give Moorings by the Sea a well-deserved 5-star rating! It’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy a relaxing and convenient getaway. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay in The Haven Hotel, staff are excellent, especially Margaret, Hannah & Jasmine. Breakfast was excellent on both mornings. The bar area & dining rooms are full of quirky paraphernalia that enhance your stay.
Dunmore East was coming to the end of its summer season so most places closed but enough still open to appreciate it's charming atmosphere. Nice walks up past the harbour & on to the cliff walk..on way back Power's Bar has the best Gunness in Dunmore East. The Strand Inn is perfectly located right on the beach, lovely terrace to soak in the beautiful view,we stopped by on our first day for a drink as it wasn't busy & lots of seating available on the Terrace in the sunshine, unfortunately the young guy at the bar was so rude, no greeting apart from a surly "what do you want" no thank you. It put us off having our lunch here. We did come back the following night after a walk and as he wasn't serving at the bar, we decided to stay, much more pleasant ladies working that night, sat on the Terrace with the Moon bright & the waves crashing over the sea wall!
Dunmore East is a little hilly with lots of steps down to the coves so be mindfull of this for anyone with disability issues.
It's a special spot, romantic at night. A gentle quite place to rest in early September.

We only spent one day in Ardmore itself as there is so much else to do close by..but Ardmore had a nice beach and playground and also has St Declans well which is nice to visit. We got food from the local shop and had a picnic on the beach so I can't comment on cafes/ restaurants. It had a little shop with a small selection of cheap toys which was just what the kids wanted so all good.

Village was perfectly situated to visit Dungarvan and Waterford city. Very near to beautiful Stradbally Cove. Decent Chinese in the village, two shops which open late and three pubs which are only open on certain days. One cafe only open in the day and a restaurant which again only opens on certain days. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming locals.

Great place to visit loads to see and do. Great places to eat and drink and great for shopping lovely boutiques especially Kellys and other good shops.
Mesums are good the famine and the wake mesum and the round toer.
Lovely park on canada street with a lovley coffee shop in it.
Tramore is also an excellent must see great seaside resort.

This was so much better than staying 20 min up the road in Waterford.
Lovely little village with a harbour and beautiful driving around this area.
We came through Kilkenny, Waterford and the tiny picturesque old village of Inistioge. Inistioge was a gem, beautiful little coffee and photo stop on the way.
Dungarvan had loads of good restaurants and cute pubs, however, in March things were shutting for a meal early, around 7.30pm.
Go out early for dinner, or you will end up with takeaway. There are a few of these options.
Good provision shopping here also with an Aldi and shopping centre.
