The hotel had a rich history that we realized carried across the generations, descendants of the original owners still worked at the hotel and with love. The parking was right next to the building, the food and drinks were delicious, and the morning breakfast was charming and quaint, overall a great stay we would highly recommend Casey's Hotel.

Even though the room was a single, so I was expected a small room, it was very comfortable with a huge bed. I had dinner and the food was fabulous. Also, breakfast, fab.

We arrived ,having had great communication ,with a big welcome and a huge smile (we were biking around The Ring of Beara and so rather sweaty)and immediately a welcome seat and drink were thrust upon us . Mary and John’s attention to every detail were extraordinary. Scrupulously clean and nothing too much trouble. They chatted , engaged and educated us on every level, whilst ensuring we were comfortable. We had a fabulous dinner, including mussels , gathered and cooked to perfection by John himself …..soup , chicken and everything you could wish for . Breakfast ,with many options ,was a nutritious delight. A little piece of paradise . Mary and John invite you into their home and make it your own! Respect and enjoy this true Irish welcome .

Absolutely immaculate accommodation with lots of space and very friendly and helpful management. Well over and beyond the call of duty I'd say. Arrived late but it was no problem. Left to our own devices on the whole with advice on trips when needed. EXCELLENT.

Sophie and Philippe are wonderful hosts. I felt very welcome and they made my stay perfect with good advise about possibilities to visit and do around. The continental breakfast was very rich, with fresh juice, different pastry every day, a solid start to explore the surroundings! I appreciated the stylish and comfortable living room, which can be used next to the own room, Philippe even made fire on a cold and rainy day. The garden is a lovely space to be enjoyed. Thank you and I hope to come back again to this beautiful place and do some hiking on the Beara way. Galina

An absolute gem! Everything was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Stunning views, free parking, and pet-friendly. The peaceful setting felt so private, with birdsong and a forest trail right next door that leads to a hidden beach. And Mary was absolutely wonderful—kind, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The host was very friendly, warm an knowledgeable around the area. Every suggestion was very good. We had a room to the street and we're able to sleep really well. If you're very sensitive to noise you can request a room to the back. We liked the breakfast and everything.

Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff.

Good location, short drive into both Bantry & Glengariff. Beautiful ocean views and saw many rainbows from the property. Excellent breakfast. Mo's hospitality was over the top in every way. Advised us of places to see off the beaten path. Gave us great dining recommendations in both Glengariff & Bantry. We had already been in Ireland for a couple weeks so we a wanted a bit more of a relaxed itinerary so we explored Garnish island, Beara Peninsula, & Gougane Barra monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting with Mo. Hope to return again some day real soon.

Harbour view stay made us very comfortable and welcome.

Harbour view stay made us very comfortable and welcome. The restaurants were very pleasant and the surrounding area a must to see with Dunboy Castle and Puxley Mansion. The copper mines and museum 20 mins away is a must. Short or long stay it can provide all you desire. But do make sure to visit Mac Carthy’s Bar. A great relaxing evening is assured.

Our 3 night stay at Mossies was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. Felt like home away from home. Every detail was carefully crafted by Matti and Vanessa to ensure we had a good stay. Sitting outside around a fire pit on a clear calm evening was a wonderful treat. We wish we lived closer!

Silence, natural beauty, if you want to really get away and enjoy simplicity and nature, this is the place for you. Have to travel a few kilometres for restaurants and bars but this is a good thing, because it means you will rarely meet many cars or people.

The area was beautiful but the property was not well maintained with overgrown garden. The outdoor table collapsed and decking neglected. The beds were old with mattresses well past use by date. House was not as described and in sad state from leaking gutters on roof, unsafe walkways outside. Access to outside doors denied due to broken locks. Broken locks and hinges on windows. The second tv did not work. Bathrooms full of mould and dirty house. Due to lack of maintenance this property should not be rented out in current state.

First Class - excellent staff throughout the Hotel - highly professional and friendly with it. Main dining room has to be experienced - attendance is an event in itself. Lovely food served in a timely way. Waiting staff are great to watch at work and they do what they do in a quiet but showy way. Lovely to sit in the hall and enjoy the two log fires and the comfy arm-chairs. A relaxing stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. Old fashioned but we like it that way - no squeaky floorboards - calm and quiet.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility.

Lovely escape to a bit of peace and tranquility. There is plenty to do in the area - hikes, Dursley cable car, Bear Island - but equally lovely to enjoy relaxing in a pub or playing scrabble in front of a fire. The people are very friendly and the restaurants are fantastic- wonderful food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to go off grid and relax.

The accommodation was second to none and we loved the Wild Atlantic Bar for food. Close to Glengarriff Dursey Beara and SheepsHead. Also hosts recommended Dunneen gardens and a swim in a local cove. All were exactly to suit us. The peacefulness of the gardens at Mossies and views were outstanding. Will definitely be back and have recommended it.

A beautiful village in its own right, Glengarriff is also central to several tours of the wider area. There are a couple of good pubs with music most nights in the summer as well as a couple of decent restaurants. The nature reserve in the woods is a fantastic place for a picnic. A great place for a family break.
