The location is superb, you have an entire island to yourself. The beach and the water are gorgeous. Also the price- quality is super good for the area, very affordable, the resort is in between homestays and ultra expensive resorts. Also, kayaks and SUP are included, as well as coffee/ tea/water. And for the food you can ask double portion free of charge.

Clean and modern place with scenic views. Food is really good and comes in large portions. Location is strategic to make main tours like Piaynemo, Kri, Rufas, Arborek and other islands. Staff is friendly and owners are honest, serious people. Pick-up at Waisai was punctual, no delays. 24h electricity and starlink Wi-Fi makes this stunning place the best option in Raja Ampat

Super friendly staff and some of the tastiest food ever in Indo. We didn’t do any of the multitude choices of snorkeling or dive trips because we had just done a liveaboard. Will, the director, very accommodating and helpful. There is a reef of sorts out front with nice big fish, some surviving coral. People have spotted turtles and manta but I wasn’t lucky. Lots of beaches fringing the island and another couple walked and snorkelled their way half way around. There is a small shop selling beer and biscuits. So beautiful!

You know how people only ever write a review when an experience was either truly bad or exceptionally good. Well, this review will be an exceptionally good one. It was our first time in Raja Ampat, let alone Indonesia. Eddo Homestay was our first accommodation and we had low expectations from what we generally read about accommodations in Raja Ampat and because it was a newly built place with few reviews. However, our expectations were exceeded. The first thing I wanna highlight is the hospitality, kindness and service of all the staff there. I especially want to mention Acho, the guy who manages the Homestay and took care of anything we needed. The first two days we were the only two guests at the Homestay and had the best experiences. Acho personally went snorkeling with us at Yenbuba Jetty, took us to a Sandbank, to Sauwandarek Village and Arborek. He was pretty much our personal guide and we enjoyed every single minute of it. He went above and beyond to fulfill all our "wishes" / requests, no matter what it was about (excursions, food, more data for our sim card, etc.). He would also always sit with us for every meal, talk to us, share about life in Indonesia. It was like hanging out with your older brother. They also tried their best to offer a variety of different foods each day. For breakfast we had toast, fried eggs, pancakes, Nutella, jam, cheese and one day (upon our request) even Avocado. For lunch and dinner it's mostly rice but always with either fish, meat, vegetables, salad, etc. And always delicious. Our highlight were the chocolate chip cornflakes with cold fresh milk though. The cabins were very spacious with a double bed and mosquito net, a couch, a little closet area with hangers and a fan. The bathroom was huuuge and beautifully designed. Each cabin has a terrace with two lounge chairs where we mostly hung out. We had everything we needed. The entire place was very clean, the cabins, the restaurant, everything.

Dear James and family, Thank you so much for making our stay in Batanta so comfortable. We will always remember your kindness, our adventure at the waterfall and swimming with manta rays 🫶🏻 The home stay is exactly as described, really comfortable bed, cold water to shower and wonderful panorama. In front of the stay there is a coral reef where you can snorkel. We saw nurse sharks, stingrays, thousands of fish and beautiful coral formations. Somedays also dolphins visited us. If you wish you can do other activities like going to the nearby village which is one of the last traditionally built one in raja ampat. We went with James to swim with manta rays which was a great success as we saw two circling around for at least half an hour. Also, there are two waterfalls with a beautiful mangrove forest which is 30 mins by boat, we swam there and saw a bit of the jungle. The food was excellent, we were really happy to try local fish. It always had enough veggies, rice and egg tortillas. Even our vegetarian friends were satisfied. For the afternoon coffee we got freshly baked cakes. PRO tips for travelers: - Bring your own snorkeling equipment - Don’t litter and take your trash back with you to Waisai. At the port you can throw it away. - Be mindful about water usage - Use biodegradable hygiene products if possible - They don’t speak much English but for us it made it the experience even more authentic. if you need get an offline translation app

I absolutely loved this homestay! it was beautiful and comfortable and fantastic. Lucky and his family are very kind and generous. their attention to every detail really makes them stand out from all the other homestays. also the food is absolutely incredible!! cant wait to come back soon! 10 star reccomendation for sure! the snorkeling around the island is amazing too, and they organize really great daytrips at very reasonable prices.

We had a truly wonderful and memorable time in this beautiful part of Raja Ampat. Our host went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always being thoughtful and attentive. One of the highlights was a fantastic snorkeling day, during which our host spotted a manta ray, a turtle, and numerous large fish. What we appreciated most was the intimate and peaceful atmosphere of the place – with only two cabins currently operating, it felt both private and familiar. Also the house reef is very nice, so we could enjoy snorkeling just jumping into the water from bungalow. Lunch and dinner were also very delicious, I very much appreciated the ginger tee in the evening.
