We chose Anantara Uluwatu Resort for our 4 days in Uluwatu. It was perfect! We loved the location, just on the cliff with amazing sunsets. Our room was super nice, cleaned and fresh with the ocean view. When we arrived we found some honeymoon gifts, very appreciated, thank you so much! ❤️ The staff in the hotel is very kind, always smiling and ready to assist/help you! Glass bottles of drinkable water are in the room and it is super nice since tap water is not drinkable in Bali. Breakfast is just perfect! The hotel has a wonderful infinity pool that we enjoyed in the sunset time. There are also 3 restaurants: one Indonesian, one Japanese and one for grilled food. We tried all of them and we had fantastic food all the time. We managed to see what we wanted to see in the Uluwatu area: - beaches like Padang Padang beach, St. Thomas beach, Impossibile beach (just below the hotel), Bingin beach, Nusa Dua beach, Melasti beach and Nyang Nyang beach - Uluwatu temple with Kecak dance (the staff of the hotel helped us to buy the ticket for the 6 pm show because we could not find them online) - Tanah Lot temple The hotel provides a free transfer to Padang Padang beach twice a day and to Uluwatu temple. It is a very useful service! We enjoyed also an evening in the spa since we got a discount when we were there so we had a body message. We also used the laundry service. Uluwatu area is famous for the monkeys, well we were super happy that we have not met any monkeys in the hotel and in our balcony. Everything was just perfect!

Beautiful, big and clean pool was pure perfection and big areas around the pool for chilling, are so perfect that I could stay there forever! Everything is so nice and clean, and beautifully decorated. All of the stuff and the manager were amazing, nice, helpful and friendly, they make you feel like at home! Food for breakfast, as well as coffee and juices are delicious! Loved every aspect of BoHo and can't wait to come back! Extra plus is that it is in a quiet street, but super close (walking distance) to the beach and amazing restaurants in the streets around the BoHo ! After 2 months in Bali this is one of my favorite places ❤️

Uluwatu is beautiful, all the beaches and modern restaurants...

Uluwatu is beautiful, all the beaches and modern restaurants, bars and cafe's lean more towards the coastal side, it's very easy to get around here with lots of Grab/GoJek bikes and cars driving around often, never waited more than 4 minutes for a ride. Walking around would be easy too, the sidewalks aren't too difficult however the humps and hills of the roads are definitely a workout in the hot sun. Lots of construction in Uluwatu, the streets are noisy, lots of trucks and drilling everywhere.

Nusa Dua is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. It does lack the vibrancy and hustle and bustle of other spots in Bali but as an older couple who just needed to wind down after a busy year, it was petfect.

The beach was very disappointing, we were there in August 2023 and I don't remember the beach being so dirty with rubbish as it was this week. The amount of litter was out of control - definitely will only be a 1 night stay close to airport from now on.

I recommend taking the shortcut on foot from the accommodation – turn left onto the main road, then immediately left again down a narrow alley. This will take you straight to the cafés, restaurants, shops, and spas. Be sure to visit Kelly's Warung at Bingin Beach, try a Pilates class at Fondue Studio, and enjoy dinner at Casa Asia.

Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle, and North of the Island. I spent a week in Ubud, then a week on the South coast. I could have spent 2 weeks in Ubud, and based most of my travels from there. Beaches in the South are something else, great surf, etc. Things to note which you may not expect. Traffic is mental. Most roads are bad, poorly surfaced, narrow and congested. Most people get around by scooter, which is fine, but be prepared for the fumes if you're doing more than a pop-to-the-shops on one. And the endless 'sell'. I was taking my own picture at a restaurant and was told I would have to pay for it (Rice Terraces) They aren't all like that, don't get me wrong, but they will push it. Fun can be had with haggling, Rule of thumb, offer half their asking price, then work back from there. Be prepared to be followed down the street if you don't buy it. Food is amazing. Try the local dishes, so much better than the same dishes back home. And why would you fly half way round the world to have fish & chips in a different country? And, getting there. Get your visa before going, they have 40-ish automated passport gates, which you can use if you have a digital passport. Use the Gojek App for taxi, or even food and other things whilst you're there (Like Uber).

Great place.

Great place. Lots of excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches nearby. My favourite was Nyang Nyang Beach which is easy to reach. It's a sandy beach with great waves for surfing. Swimming is a bit more tricky as the bottom is rocky and the currents can be a bit challenging. There is a bar for refreshment and the beach is spacious and doesn't feel crowded. Uluwatu attracts lots of surfers and that's a bit the vibe that you get here.

this was my first trip to Bali, and it is not really my sort of holiday - I prefer to move around more rather than stay in the one place. If a 'fly and flop' holiday is your thing - this is a good place to do it

Not quite sure if i would go back to Jimbaran. Beach, as with lots in Bali, not well looked after. The quieter end of Bali. Made Bague restaurant the best of the seafood restaurants in my opinion.

Lots of cafes/restaurants in the area plus boutiques. Cashew tree cafe is amazing! Plus Seed cafe which also has a market attached to it. Handy to have a moped to get around but take care if you do.
