We wanted somewhere different to spend Christmas and came across Valhalla house online, the house was as amazing as it looks in the pictures and was right on the beach that you have to yourself! The house was clean & comfortable and had everything we needed - water, towels, cooking facilities etc! As the island was quite remote we were struggling to find how to get there and get around but Marcelo, the host, went above and beyond to help us out with flights and ferries. His communication was great, and he gave us some great food recommendations as well as a contact for surf lessons, which we all really enjoyed on Christmas day, and was just so helpful with all of the questions we had! Marcelo also put us in touch with a local, Dolman, who drove us to and from the airport, even though the roads were bad he made it so easy for us to get around by providing bikes at a really good price. Overall we had an amazing stay at Valhalla and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time on a paradise island, surrounded by local culture, beautiful beaches and lots surfing!!

This place is so beautiful and off the grid that you fully relax . Don’t expect. A lot of choice in food or drinks . All is basic but good and the staff is very friendly and also. All the guests seemed happy and relaxed

Villa Tala is situated directly on the beachfront. It’s the perfect location to explore Sipora. You can walk from the ferry and be on the beach in seconds. The staff at Villa Tala did everything to make our stay enjoyable. They organised car and bike hire and even ordered us food to be delivered to the villa when it was raining. We felt so at home here and didn’t want to leave. The breakfast they provide is also delicious!

If you come to surf to Mentawai or just to enjoy its crystal clear waters and its green nature. Suzi bech is the perfect place for you. Comfortable clean environment, excellent service, spacious and comfortable rooms, very tasty and healthy food, they have boats to surf the best spots in the area, surf photographer, snorkeling equipment in the crystal clear waters full of marine life and motorcycles to explore the green island! I recommend this place with my eyes closed! They have everything at a wonderful price

We stayed here at the end of september as non surfers for 5 nights to relax after Bukit Lawang / Berastagi / Lake Toba. This place is truly paradise, beaches so beautiful we have only seen in dreams before. Only a few meters from the bungalows, which were pretty, very clean and comfortable. Owner Iker en manager Javvi and all the other staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was very good as well, you could tell and taste they put an effort in every dish! Rented a scooter to explore the island and visited perfect deserted beaches and went swimming in the sea at the beach on the resort every day. We really had an incredible experience at La Belle Hollow trees.

This is without a doubt the best resort of the Mentawais. Amazing location next to some of the best waves in the planet, the villas are fenomenal, the food is delicious and the staff is very kind and helpful. We’ll be back next year!
