Perfect location: right by a stunning beach, in the village so not too remote and not far from the harbour, yet quiet and relaxing. The room is nice and air conditioned with a comfortable bed, there’s a big terrace too.

The staff at Awera are genuinely second to none. They are all incredibly welcoming, helpful and they made our stay what it was - the trip of a lifetime. Special mention must go to Un, Jupen and the activities team for turning me into a pro surfer, helping my husband catch the waves of a lifetime, and the epic snorkelling and mangrove SUPing. Justine was another stand-out; her positive attitude and thoughtful yoga sessions under the rising and setting sun were some of the highlights of our trip. Niko runs an amazing restaurant and the food put out by the chefs was out of this world (esp. the tuna tataki and mie goreng)!
From an admin perspective, everything runs so smoothly at Awera. In particularl, the transfer service made us feel like vip’s and made for a particularly stress-free transfer experience.

Nasara is truly a paradise for vacations. All the staff there are very friendly and very helpful with guests' activities and questions. The food is delicious. It was the most beautiful vacation I've ever had. I hope Nasara continues to be successful and even better than before.

I stayed for 3 weeks here and had an amazing time. Rinto and Ahmed we amazing and helped out with everything I needed. It was like a family here and the vibe was amazing. It was the perfect mentawai experience and the waves were amazing.

In Taupejat luckily there aren't many tourists yet, the beach not crowded. But the beach and especially the surrounding small islands very butiful, You can snorkel. If you can ride a motorbike, you can explore the whole area. There are not too much dining option, but are enough.

Islamic village, they still try to smile on the tourists, but you do not feel it is honest anymore. Some nice resorts in the surrounding islands.
Food supply is very poor on the island.
For surfing and even for nicer surround is better to go down to Katiet, the other village on the island
