Excellent hotel with one of the best pools I've experienced. Its located a short walk from the ferry port and is ideally located once you are not expecting to be on the beach. The breakfast and coffee from the restaurant was also very good. Staff were very helpful and organised snorkeling trips and bicycles for the island.

I just loved the place! Clean and I adore the outdoor bathroom! Stunning place, close to the Centre, big plus that you get a free bike in front pf your room and you get there in less than 10 minutes. Hery at the reception was super kind and helpful, as soon as I checked in he gave me all the information about the island and what to see where. The room was clean, the pool was amazing and the people were kind. Big plus that the towels smell fresh. The breakfast is delicious.

Indonesia's Laid-back Lombok

A great alternative to busy Bali is lazy Lombok, a more authentic representation for tourists who wish to explore one of Indonesia’s more than 17,000 islands. It is separated from its naughty neighbor by the Lombok Strait to the east and from Sumbawa by the Alas Strait to the west.

Lombok is a typical island paradise of paddy fields, pristine beaches, jungle escapes and mountain retreats. It is largely inhabited by the local Sasak people with a small percentage of Balinese settlers.

Many hotels on Booking.com are centred around the capital of Mataram and the beaches stretching along the north-eastern coastline, including the sweeping bays of Senggigi. Medana Bay is another great northern location for people wanting to visit the nearby Gili Islands, a wonderful snorkeling location and nightlife choice.

Escape the tropical heat in the mountains surrounding Gunung Rinjani, an active volcano where tourists can break in their newly acquired trekking shoes. Other adventures abound on the southern surf beaches of Lombok.

Lombok International Airport is located 33 km south-west from Mataram and services daily flights mainly from Jakarta and Bali. This round-shaped island is approximately 80 km in both directions and offers plenty of variety for a great holiday.

It was fantastic! The location is a bit further from the center but thats better for tranquility. Beautiful sunset view with mountain. Big clean swimming pool. Super nice staff super friendly and helpful (big thanks to staff member ecko). The room was super clean and smelled good. Everyday they clean and it is really one of the cleanest places I’ve been. The bathroom is outside. Great shower, nice hot water, cute little garder. The rooms is super spacious and the beds are amaziiiing. Airco in the room works perfect. Everything was just perfect. We got out own little villa/ bungalow. The paths and garden are well taken care off. The breakfast is amazing with a lot of choice, and cheese! We loved everything about it.

The breakfast was a real delight, carefully prepared, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of my stay. I especially appreciated the convenience of renting bikes directly at the hotel and amazing and practical option for exploring the island at my own pace. Michel and Nia are amazing hosts! They immediately made us feel welcome and we spent a lot of time just chatting to Michel about life and Indonesian culture (plus listening to his singing;)) and Nia made us delicious meals and the best banana pancakes ever for breakfast. They took us on a daytrip to discover Lombok island for a very good price and we were able to see some places we would have never seen if we had been travelling alone. The room was clean and comfortable and had a fan. And the dogs were very cute as a bonus!

Our experience at Bambu Cottages was truly delightful. The cottages were wonderful, and the location by the sea was idyllic. With easy beach access and the added perk of breakfast and sunbathing facilities, it was a serene escape from the crowds. The pool with its sea view was an additional nice touch. Ozzi, Arta and other staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. We even extended our stay from the initially planned 4 nights to 8 nights.

soooooo amazing. I would say it's the best one on Lombok, I stayed in Lombok for 10 days with 5 hotels and I would say Qunci is the best. I really don't want to leave. Amazing atmosphere, good view, clean room, perfect restaurants, unforgettable SPA, friendly staff. Also the price is reasonable. Everything is perfect. I really wish I could stay longer. I think I'll come back for another vacation.

Their service and communication was very good and satisfactory. Breakfast was ala carte and delicious. The dining area has a view of the infinity pool and the treetop view of palm trees, it was very pleasant. Room had an open air shower with high walls, that was a nice experience. The location of the resort is on a hillside/slope, therefore there are many stairs on this property.

Beautiful hotel! We loved the architecture and decor. The location right in front of the sea is fantastic and the pool and garden was very well maintained. Food and staff is excellent. I love the pool, friendly staff, nice and quiet, but not too far away from the beach and all you need. I loved that they do not have plastic water bottles at all. Fresh refills in glass bottles when you need water. I recommend hiring a bicycle they supply for IDR 50,000 a day.

A bustling town with much to explore and many bars and restaurants to choose from. When we come again (and we will) we would like to do more trips exploring the outlying areas. Our main purpose for travel was to attend a wedding at Selong Selo resort (also fabulous with spectacular views) so we didn't do much exploring this time. It was sad to see so much plastic rubbish on roadsides. The infrastructure, at the moment, does not deal with this but efforts are being made.

The Gili Islands are beautiful, if you can look past the masses of European tourists who have overwhelmed it and who seem determined to create a French Riviera experience in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the locals - seeing where the money is - seem content to allow their island to be overrun. If you want to get gratin dauphinois or eat in a Greek cafe called Santorini in Indonesia whilst competing with the rest of the EU for a square of beach or to see a poor beleaguered turtle, then Gili islands is for you. If you're looking for an authentic Indonesian beach experience, go elsewhere.

Stayed at tne katamaran hotel, stunning hotel with great food and provided a restful quiet break in stunning surroundings. Both restaurants on site provided great food. The spa was also gorgeous. The entire stay was heavenly! Alu at tne senggigi ferry port organised an amazing day snorkelling at three of the Gili islands. Paradise!

The best grilled fish we had was at Tika Warung during our 35-day trip across Indonesia, including Bali, Gili, and Lombok, prepared by a fisherman‘s wife. However, we were disappointed that we couldn't rent an electronic scooter; only bikes or horse-drawn carts were available. Additionally, the persistent salespeople around the restaurant and beach- selling shell jewellery and Medications were bothersome.

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so...

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so welcoming and friendly. They will do almost anything to cater for travellers, for example I am 68 and wouldn’t have been able to do the 6 km walking tour up and down hills and uneven surfaces so they organised a motorbike tour which was great. The tour of the villages was also good and very interesting and informative to see the local market, pottery being made, textile weaving and bamboo weaving. There was a good variety of food and the family dinner was wonderful, so much delicious local food. The accommodation was suitable in a peaceful environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

Selong belanak is a charming location with friendly locals...

Selong belanak is a charming location with friendly locals and great food! Main beach Munah is buzzing with people holidaying and learning to surf With Warungs along the beach you can grab a board or a cold Bintang and enjoy the water Homestays are the way to go but there are also Also beachfront restaurants and resort style places. Beautiful surrounding areas and still quite enough to enjoy local farming I hope it stays this way and foreign resorts do not take over.

Was exhausted after Mt.

Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. But still a lovely place that has less tourists than other parts of Indonesia.

Strawberry picked was fun.

Strawberry picked was fun. Look at google maps to find places with at least 5 good reviews to find somewhere to go. Hiking Pergasagan Hill and spending the night was amazing! Only thing to note though is that there are a lot of mosques here and they are VERY loud. We didn't get much sleep during our stay.

Small island but has everything, the local are very friendly...

Small island but has everything, the local are very friendly, so many bar and nice restaurants, few places for party as well and of course crystal clear water and white sand beaches are perfect for relax but live music after sunset is my favorite in Gili Trawangan! I just wished that the club would open later than 1am but i guess that’s the local regulations so i get that.
