HungaryIt is really close to the forest and has a great, very naturalistic atmosphere. The staff is very kind and friendly. The wellness part is smaller but enough to have some relax. The breakfast has a pretty good selection even though the hotel itself is smaller. They could prepare the room earlier than the actual check in (for an extra charge).

CroatiaThe stay at this hotel was amazing. Everything was clean and cozy, the AC worked like a charm, and the water in the pools was really clean because they change it every day. I've read a bunch of comments about people complaining about the noise because the walls are too thin, but that's not true at all! It almost felt like there were no other people around; it was super quiet and relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were great, with a variety of dishes to try. The chocolate ice cream was delicious. They clean your room daily and also change the towels. But the true gem of this hotel is the staff! Gabriella, the receptionist, was so helpful and her English was excellent. She always went out of her way to help us and greeted every guest with a smile. Hotel Barrico, Gabriella is a keeper, get that girl a promotion or something :) I'd advise everyone to go to this hotel because it's very relaxing and in such a beautiful and quiet area.

Like i dont know what is included and what is charged even though i can feel they are honest but just i dont understand what was charged. Also i left message no need for dinner in room on my arrival day, i guess they are nice or dont understand my message, they still put dinner in my room and was wasted. I appreciate the gesture, but just check the message and that is not neccessary. No harsh feeling, just totally can be avoid misunderstanding

Everything was super lovely- I’m Polish and my partner is Hungarian, we visited in April as a part or our hiking trip, stayed for 2 nights, there are some really chill hiking routes around, beautiful scenery, the house was flawless, theres nothing bad I could say, I really needed rest and this place was absolutely perfect for that. The only thing is if you are super into the sauna its worth to call the owners to ask if it is working at the moment- It was out of order during our stay- it didn’t matter to us but if you are someone who would choose this place over another because of the sauna it’s worth to make sure :) Overall, a wonderful place for a couple to stay, the house was easily big enough for a family with 2 children as well. The owners were also extremely sweet. Highly recommend

This was our second time at Nomad and definitely not the last. The place is an absolute gem and it's run by the friendliest people. Here, you will really feel like part of the extended family, not just a guest out of many. I just love the atmosphere, the imaginative little details/small touches, the food (!) and also, I must mention how dog friendly it is! Our dog was basically off the lead the whole time, even in the restaurant and the escape room! He quickly became everyone's friend, and it wasn't just the owners who loved dogs but all the other guests too. Our boy had the time of his life, and we all felt like home from the first second. Thank you, Nomad! 😊

We booked this hotel as part of our road trip in Hungary and were very happy with our choice. The communication with the hotel was great and smooth. I asked them to prepare a bottle of wine as a birthday gift and they did great with that including adding a note.
Both breakfast and dinner were great, the wellness area was also great and there were many other activities at the hotel which made our stay more fun. The room was spacious and the location was also nice, very close to the natural park.
Overall it was a great stay.

The staff were great. On the day we arrived 13th April around 2PM, we were met by a really nice guy at reception with brown hair. His English was great and he was incredibly helpful as it was the first time me and my partner had visited. The room was very clean and our time was good.

We spent a weekend there with our 4 monts old baby and the facilities exceeded our expectations - the spa was absolutely baby friendly with baby pool and sauna as of 3 months; the play room had toys for him and the room was well equipped.

We travel to Eger for thermal spas.
We travel to Eger for thermal spas. There are 5 within 15 minutes from Eger: 1 in Eger, 3 in Demjen, 1 in Egerszalok. Instead of staying in resorts we choose stay in Eger, not far from historic center with unique atmosfere and lots of reastaurants. Eger is not crowded. There was always place in every restaurant we were eating in for us.

It was very positive to experience that Hungarian retired people can afford staying at the hotel like this with this level of comfort.
It is brilliant that public transport ,buses to the nearest towns and places of interest can be used free of charge for Hungarians and guests from EU countries who are 65+ years of age.No need to use privately own cars, pay for parking...etc
Safety of the area, kindness of the people make vocation even more relaxing

Very expensive village compared to what's actually available. Only a few restaurants which cost the same as higher-quality restaurants in the capital, and only a few things for sightseeers. Not much to do for days in case of rain.
I'd recommend against going to the cave, because people have been doing their business inside. Szilvásvárad is good for like a 3-4 days trip, but nothing more.

It was a bit drizzly during our stay which didn’t bother me at all but I overheard some guests mentioning that there’s no cover/roof over the outside thermal baths so they were getting wet. Please replace the bulbs on the path which leads back to the hotel from the outside baths. These are open til 2am, and as I am short sighted, my glasses were steaming up and in general, it’d be safer. Overall I’ve had a very relaxing experience.

Noszvaj is a beautiful town just below the Bükk Mountains.
Noszvaj is a beautiful town just below the Bükk Mountains. It has a lot to offer: it is worth visiting the cave-houses, the local Gazda-house but also surounding towns as well (for thermal baths, historical cave houses and the "kaptárkő" culture). Hiking is also possible. Eger and the neighbouring towns are close with various activities.

It is a quiet village in the Matra hills - clear air, nice locals. Everything you need for a quick or longer stay away from the city - many tourist / hiking routes starts from the village from easy ones to difficult ones, there is a small grocery store, a few restaurants with great food, also a few options for staying overnight from simple ones to ****, also a small local church with service almost every day, a kind of pub if you are after these kind of activities as well.

We came here with public transport.
We came here with public transport. From Budapest with train. Then with bus. No offered some transport/taxi for transfer. Probably because people coming only with cars.
So it was not easy for me.

It is easy to get around even on foot or by car. Check out the De La Motte castle as well as the caveflats. Choose Panorama Hotel for your stay. Most places are very dog friendly!

Eger is a picturesque town with many sites to visit.
Eger is a picturesque town with many sites to visit. Perhaps the most famous is the Castle (Vár) where a small group of defenders successfully stopped a Turkish attack of an army of almost 100.000 people in 1552. The Turkish were able to occupy this area only 40 years later. There is an old University building with an astronomy study (planetaruim and camera obscura) in its tower and a huge library where even codexes are in stock. There is a huge basilica, and many restaurants and wine tasting places where you can taste the vines of Eger, red and white. There is a thermal bath and you can make trips to the nearby Bükk mountains.
