These apartments are situated at the edge of the forest, with a few cattle grazing in the garden. The heating system works really well, and the host was extremely kind. We made a small mistake, but he handled it in a calm and kind manner.

Nice small city, perfect for one or two days visit. It is clean city, kind people, prices are normal and all the main attractions are in few minutes of walking. We were there for advent and it was organized very nice.

Nice town, known for thousands of years for hist hot springs...
Nice town, known for thousands of years for hist hot springs and thermal baths (since Roman times). Was very much neglected and destroyed during Tito's dictatorship and oppressive Communist times (1945-1990), however slowly getting back to its roots. Most of the baroque buildings are restored by now, incl. the beautiful Church of St. Martin, that is overlooking the whole town. Otherwise not much to do, however only 15 minutes drive to the neighboring-well known baroque city of Varazdin (once the capital of Croatia) with lots of sightseeing, bars-cafe's. restaurants and more, reflecting its once glorious past.

hotel may be a bit older, but the standard it offers is still very good. The surroundings are beautiful and the views are truly stunning. Breakfast was tasty, though it could have been a little more varied. Overall, we were very satisfied – excellent value for money.

Peaceful area with lots of great restaurants around. I suggest reserving a table in advance in some of them. I would also recommend going on River Drava Raft Safari with More Adventures Co. situated on a River Ranch.

Varaždin is a beautiful city rich in history and architecture. We visited a the start of Spancirfest and were so impressed! We want to come back one day with friends and stay longer during this festive traditional celebration. We also want to give a shout out to THE FAMILY restaurant—it was outstanding—with wood-fired pizzas and great service and atmosphere.

Sadly the thermal bath is saved only for medical purposes, because of covid restrictions, even if there is no serious covid threat anymore (15.01.2023). The ruins of the roman bath is fascinating, the people are kind, and warm. The restaurants, pubs and bars are good, the prices are reasonable.

Hotel Trakoscan is located in perfect spot just next to beautiful medieval castell Trakoscan and lake, surrounded by nature. If you enjoy walking in any time of the year in the forest or lake shore, then this is perfect spot for your stay. Hotel has everything that one need, including spa and small swimming pool. But actual treat is nature and being part of it the moment you walk out of the hotel. Castell Taskoscan is open for visitors and it is really nice to visit. Nearby city Krapina is also worthwhile visiting.

It's a beautiful, historic city, with fantastic local restaurants and cafes, stunning parks, and very clean and quiet. My favourite thing about the old town is that it's all cobblestones and austrian-style buildings with no car access. Perfect to walk around in. Even the streets by larger roads feel quiet, and it's so picturesque and green, it's wonderful to walk in.

Trakošćan castle is situated in a beautiful scenery, surrounded by forest and meadows. The lake beneath the castle is at the moment drained due to some maintenance. The castle itself is a interesting place to visit, it has medieval weaponry on display as well as representative residential and auxiliary rooms form the period.
