There is a small sandy beach, just next to the hotel, which is great for families with small kids.

HungaryThe location is huge, I mean huge. It almost half an island, you can walk and hour and still next to the complex. There are 5-6 hotels, bars, beaches, shops, restaurants on site, you don't even have to go anywhere in Umag. Great place for people with children and also without them. The pool side is nice and there are a lot of place, you don't have to worry about crowd maybe on peak season at breakfast, but it is okay.

I would say that overall impression is very good, appartement is spacious, clean, have enough dishes and cutlery, good swimming pool and sandy beach near by. Good and convenient parking space for standard car. I would underline that Internet is very weak which is quite strange nowdays (and it is not WIFI connection it is really internet, you can't watch video at all). There is a place for a washing machine in the bathroom, but there is no washing machine, which could be a nice thing to have especially when the residence is far from all the infrastructure. I would suggest to add drying racks, we took ours because we saw other tourists reports, the same is for the fan that we took from home to use upstairs. In general, we didn't use AC that much, but it depends how you are resistant to the hot during night time. We missed vacuum cleaner as well, because of the sand. Mop or brush don't help that efficient.

Villa is close to the beach. Only 20 minutes drive from the nice golf course Golf Adriatic.

Post season Umag seems like a cozy small town.
Post season Umag seems like a cozy small town. I expected more but then maybe my expectations were set too high considering its a popular destination for locals. Although I only stayed there for one night, I can't provide a comprehensive report but we did manage to walk around the city and resort complex. The location seems ideal for an activities holiday destination with a lot of parks and paths for walking/hiking, bike riding, etc.

Savudrija is a very small village with a couple of restaurants, and a couple of campings. If you are looking for a place to relax and from where to start daily adventures in other destinations, that's the place to be. Plus, it has several cycling paths.

It is a small calm village, but if you enjoy a larger city, Umag is just 5 km away. There you can find many different restaurants and supermarkets. It also has a very nice beach-walk with shops and restaurants, we even stayed for a free guitar concert that was happening at the time.

The town of Umag has a charming coastal feel particularly at the historic centre. There are plenty of food options, lovely sunsets and a motorised 'train' to transport people from their resorts and hotels to the town for only 4€. Prices overall are very reasonable compared to other European destinations.

I was there in the off-season, it's certainly very different when it's full of tourists and cars and kids and campers in summer. There's no supermarket but a small bakery selling fresh bread and produce. There's a local olive oil producer in town which was a delight to visit. Lots of excellent paths for walking along the coast. Views like a dream!

A quiet place, surrounded by olive groves and bike paths.
Toni restaurant, excellent fish food

The see was dirty so we had to find some other activity.
The see was dirty so we had to find some other activity. And we found a lot. We were walking in the natural park and met a turtle. We were in Marble cave and it was great. We were vititing Groznjan and Buje, both beautitiful cities. And some waterfalls, absolutely amazing. At last it was one of my best holiday. So there are a lot of other activities possible to do in case os dirty see :)

Savudrija is nothing special, there is a good beach at the autocamping and nothing else. We only booked here our accomodation because we wanted to visit the Slovenian beaches and cities and the border is close here and here was cheap place to stay.

There is a choice of beaches in the vicinity (0.3-4 km). One can find something to the taste. It is easy to travel by bike as well. Supermarkets are reacheable by car. We did not eat out, so cannot judget he local restaurants.
