The location is unbelievable, very close to Stari Grad but more secluded in nature. Our room had an amazing sea view with a garden terrace. The hotel was very clean and well designed. The food served at the restaurant was excellent and well priced with big portions. The amenities of the spa were very good.

United StatesI don't know if I'll be able to do justice to how much we loved Hotel Moeesy. Both the property and team members were exceptional. We have never had such a restful experience at a hotel. From the porter meeting us at the ferry, to the front desk staff who helped us with our travel planning far before we got there, to the people at breakfast, everyone is so kind, friendly, and helpful. Our room was beautiful and we are so glad that we got the water view balcony - having coffee out on the terrace was peaceful every morning. The three pools were nice to come back to after a day of walking and have a good view of the ocean. Everything on the property is maintained perfectly, there was always someone around discreetly tidying and it is a very short and pretty walk into town on the ocean-front promenade. The breakfast was the best. If you can't tell, we could not have been happier with our stay - I was upset the morning we had to leave. If we could go back and do it again we would have cut out other days from our trip and booked here for longer. Thank you Hotel Moeesy!

IrelandÀ la carte breakfast! omg! Amazing! We stayed in Croatia for 10 days and stayed in 5 star hotels in Dubrovnik, Split and Hvar. We got buffet breakfast in the other hotels, so you cannot compare the breakfast here! No complaints. Staff were amazing and attentive. The location was so central, right at the port, so only 2 min walk from where the ferry dropped us off. Also hotel is next to bars and restaurants.

This hotel was the best during my vacation in Europe. The service is completely personalized. I went for my honeymoon, and they included a bottle of sparkling wine along with a vegan platter. Additionally, the hotel has direct access to the sea and a private beach. All the staff are very friendly and even learn the guests' names.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with happy and very cheerful front desk staff, and we felt so relaxed from the start.
We upgraded our room to one with water views and were not disappointed.
The restaurant staff were amazing and were always happy to ensure our stay was an exceptional experience ❤️ especially Tea

Don’t visit in November. Only one restaurant operating in evening and one or two cafes open in town centre.
Catamaran from Split to Hvar town can be cancelled the day before due to weather. Leaves large ferry to Stari Grad only option over.

Not for everyone.
Not for everyone. Don't go there if you like noise, night clubs, loud music and so, If you look for calm and silent place - it might be your golden target. We love that place - both from the sea side (as skipper) and land (as tourists). We will be there back again if only we can.

Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this...
Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this place is long enough for me. Jelsa is a great resort that offers many great restaurants, authentic shops with local products, but especially a rich cultural program. The same applies to the neighboring village of Vrboska. I recommend renting a bicycle for the entire stay and getting to know the beauty of the island in this way - be it natural beaches, old streets or vineyards.

Beautiful quiet and friendly location. Well worth the extra effort to travel a bit further. Very unspoilt with lots of passing yachts calling in for overnight stops or longer. About a dozen or so places to eat, very friendly people. Pint of lager 3.5 euros. A lovely glass of local white wine 4 euros. Four coffees about 10 euros. Beautiful food, especially if you want fresh fish straight out the sea. 👌😎

Sucuraj is a peaceful, charming town, perfect for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. The sea is very close, so you can reach the beach easily from almost anywhere. There are plenty of good restaurants serving local dishes. Another big advantage is its location right by the ferry, so you don’t need to drive across the entire island on narrow, winding roads.

Nice place for families woth small children.
Nice place for families woth small children. Small village, mostly tourist houses. Nice beach, everything walking distance. Very quiet, only one restaurant, one shop (a bit to small, to get everything one would need) and few bars. I suggest you try the local vine, sold next to the supermarket. At the end of August the is a fishermen festival, where you can taste fish and other sea food.
ATTENTION: The road from Jelsa to Ivan Dolac is very narrow and curvy, some sections are a bit unpleasant. It didn't bother us, but if you are not used to drive on such roads, then it might be very stressful for you (you will need to take the road it least a few times, since there is only a small shop and one reastaurant in Ivan Dolac, for the rest you need to go to Jelsa or elsewhere). Furthermore, there is a narrow and low tunnel on the road, which is impossible to drive though with a van.

The accommodation is located right by the beach and the locality is quiet with not many tourists. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The terrace was very spacious and overlooked the sea with the beach.
There are wooden shutters to eliminate the sun and mosquito nets in every window. The apartment is very quiet at night due to the tight windows and shutters. The kitchen is well-equipped with a spacious dining table and a large sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a door leading to the terrace with a sea view, which was amazing.
We enjoyed sitting on the large terrace on comfortable sunbeds, which I think is the best part of the apartment.
The owners provided us with beach towels and beach mats.
There is a small bakery right behind the house with fresh pastry and bread, and a grocery store 500m far from the house. There is a lovely restaurant by the beach with nice food, and another one just a 15-minute walk from the apartment, Skalinada restaurant, with amazing views and a great menu of fish and seafood.

Idyllic, a bit remote.
Idyllic, a bit remote. Not too many people there even in the main season, beautiful beaches! Has a bakery (open 7-10 am) and someone who sells local products next to it, next mini market is in Ivan Dolac. Also a great starting location for hiking or biking up to Sveti Nikola (there even is a nice via ferrata and a place for climbing). On gravel roads aside of the main rodes I'd recommend a SUV or a mountainbike!

Easy place to walk around (but must be prepared to climb) with interesting attractions. Friendly tourist info office and good brochures..Lovely front yard at the Franciscan Monastery and Church of Our Lady of Grace. Amazing agave lace by the Benedictine nuns.

Stayed walking distance outside Stari Grad, picked location as quieter than Hvar town. In hind sight would stay first few days in Stari Grad and finish stay in Hvar town to be closer to port. Both Stari Grad and Hvar town have beautiful architecture and well worth a trip in the shoulder months
