We got buffet breakfast in the other hotels, so you cannot compare the breakfast here! No complaints. Staff were amazing and attentive. The location was so central, right at the port, so only 2 min walk from where the ferry dropped us off. Also hotel is next to bars and restaurants.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. They made reservations at a restaurant for us (Pizzeria Primi Piatti - Great meal and the appetizer 'PIATTO di MARE' was fantastic) and called a taxi for us)
The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was great, they had a variety of foods and beverages, (Fruit, eggs, crepe's, croissants, sausage, etc.)
And the view from the Seaside (private beach area) was Fantastic!
The hotel is about a 15min walk from the Old town, but there is a seaside path that leads all the way to the town.
It's a great walk with a wonderful view!
(We walked it several times a day)

Our stay at Hotel Hvar was wonderful. We chose the All-Inclusive option and loved the food. At each meal, we could choose from a great variety of freshly prepared and tasty dishes. Our joined rooms were impeccably clean and tidy.
The location is fantastic. We walked to different beaches in the vicinity and the town of Jelsa is close by and is stunning. We found the staff very friendly and professional. A special thanks to Nikola the barman and the wonderful team in the dining room who were fast to take care of us and willing to stop for a chat. All in all, the staff made our stay extra special. Thank you.

We had a very pleasent stay, the hotel has cosy vibes, provides a varied breakfast, has a lot of sunbeds around. It is situated on the shore so there is only few steps to the water. It really serves pleasure and gives delight of summer vacation. It was our second time and certainly we come again.

Location very good, 2min to Hvar port, but still quiet in the night. The hotel is newly remodeled, very stylish and clean. Our room is fronting the sea side, view is amazing. The personnel at reception are all very kind and helpful. A lot of choices for breakfast and the dishes are fresh cooked.

The property was so spacious. The natural light in the master bedroom with the big window and balcony was amazing. Loved that you could see the ocean from the balcony and the property was surrounded by trees and nature. It was a quick 10 minute walk from the main square of Jelsa

The location is gorgeous, hotel is very calm and well preserved. There are plenty of activities to do around and in the hotel. The staff is very attentive and proactive to help. The buffets are very complete and the dishes are not often repeated.

Don’t visit in November. Only one restaurant operating in evening and one or two cafes open in town centre.
Catamaran from Split to Hvar town can be cancelled the day before due to weather. Leaves large ferry to Stari Grad only option over.

Not for everyone.
Not for everyone. Don't go there if you like noise, night clubs, loud music and so, If you look for calm and silent place - it might be your golden target. We love that place - both from the sea side (as skipper) and land (as tourists). We will be there back again if only we can.

Nice place for families woth small children. Small village, mostly tourist houses. Nice beach, everything walking distance. Very quiet, only one restaurant, one shop (a bit to small, to get everything one would need) and few bars. I suggest you try the local vine, sold next to the supermarket. At the end of August the is a fishermen festival, where you can taste fish and other sea food.
ATTENTION: The road from Jelsa to Ivan Dolac is very narrow and curvy, some sections are a bit unpleasant. It didn't bother us, but if you are not used to drive on such roads, then it might be very stressful for you (you will need to take the road it least a few times, since there is only a small shop and one reastaurant in Ivan Dolac, for the rest you need to go to Jelsa or elsewhere). Furthermore, there is a narrow and low tunnel on the road, which is impossible to drive though with a van.

Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this...
Personally, I love the island of Hvar and no stay in this place is long enough for me. Jelsa is a great resort that offers many great restaurants, authentic shops with local products, but especially a rich cultural program. The same applies to the neighboring village of Vrboska. I recommend renting a bicycle for the entire stay and getting to know the beauty of the island in this way - be it natural beaches, old streets or vineyards.

Beautiful quiet and friendly location. Well worth the extra effort to travel a bit further. Very unspoilt with lots of passing yachts calling in for overnight stops or longer. About a dozen or so places to eat, very friendly people. Pint of lager 3.5 euros. A lovely glass of local white wine 4 euros. Four coffees about 10 euros. Beautiful food, especially if you want fresh fish straight out the sea. 👌😎

The accommodation is located right by the beach and the locality is quiet with not many tourists. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The terrace was very spacious and overlooked the sea with the beach.
There are wooden shutters to eliminate the sun and mosquito nets in every window. The apartment is very quiet at night due to the tight windows and shutters. The kitchen is well-equipped with a spacious dining table and a large sitting room. One of the bedrooms has a door leading to the terrace with a sea view, which was amazing.
We enjoyed sitting on the large terrace on comfortable sunbeds, which I think is the best part of the apartment.
The owners provided us with beach towels and beach mats.
There is a small bakery right behind the house with fresh pastry and bread, and a grocery store 500m far from the house. There is a lovely restaurant by the beach with nice food, and another one just a 15-minute walk from the apartment, Skalinada restaurant, with amazing views and a great menu of fish and seafood.

Very few houses around.
Very few houses around. No amenities like grocery stores or supermarkets, you have to drive 45 mins. 2 places to choose from the eat otherwise you would need to drive 45mins/1hour away. But extremely peaceful and quiet and great place to unwind by the sea.

It is a beautiful location and it is only 10 mins from Stari Grad. Incredible to come home after a day of snorkelling and exploring.
There is a cafe/ restaurant within walking distance when one doesn’t want to cook.

Easy place to walk around (but must be prepared to climb) with interesting attractions. Friendly tourist info office and good brochures..Lovely front yard at the Franciscan Monastery and Church of Our Lady of Grace. Amazing agave lace by the Benedictine nuns.

Stayed walking distance outside Stari Grad, picked location as quieter than Hvar town. In hind sight would stay first few days in Stari Grad and finish stay in Hvar town to be closer to port. Both Stari Grad and Hvar town have beautiful architecture and well worth a trip in the shoulder months
