The hotel was spotless with good facilities and tasteful decor. It was close to restaurants and quite easy access to the beach. One of the loveliest things about the hotel was the staff, so friendly and helpful. I will hopefully go back.

I rarely write reviews, but after our wonderful experience at Lesante Cape, I felt it deserved a few words of appreciation. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive — the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible, always with a smile and a willingness to help. The rooms were modern, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean — offering both comfort and style. We dined at several of the on-site restaurants and were consistently impressed by the quality of the food. Each meal felt thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and local touches that made every bite special. The pool area was a particular highlight — serene, well-maintained, and never overcrowded. Although the beach access is relatively small, the snorkeling right off the shore was fantastic. We were lucky enough to spot a large turtle just 50 meters from the beach — a magical moment we won’t soon forget. We also took one of the yacht tours organized by the hotel — an absolute must. The views, the experience, and the overall service on board were simply stunning and added an extra layer of magic to our holiday.

I will NEVER forget our magical stay at Olea. If you heared about Greek hospitality, this is the place to prove it!!!!!! Their team was so organised and helped us book our activities in the island. Our boat trips, restaurants, spa , all activities in the island was just booked by them and we had the maximum quality and luxury possible. (Private drivers, private guides, pick up from hotel and back, 24hours care etc.) Also have you ever dreamed of waking up and having your coffe in your watersuite? Yes, thats possible if you book at Olea. Gurmet breakfast with Ionian sea views and thats not even the best part... Live classical Cello music by an absolute professional cello player who make you relax, dream, calm. Last but not least, the STUNNING Greek Boho design, with amazing ceramic vases, unique bathrooms, island styled rooms, minimal greek architecture. There are sooo much more that come to mind now, I can keep writing for ever ! I can't remember all the names of the fantastic team of Olea, But Ill mention Christina, the host, who is a gorgeous lady from Zakinthos, who literally educated us about this island and directed us to visit all the MUST spots of the island. Then Soteris ,the supervisor with the girls team at the frond office - reseption upgraded the quality of our stay in the island with the extra care and love during our stay at Olea. This was our third year at Lesante Blu and, once again, everything was simply perfect. The hotel is stunning, with breathtaking sea views, and both breakfast and dinner are truly exceptional — worth the trip on their own for the quality and refinement. The staff make the experience even more special: always courteous, attentive, and welcoming. A special mention goes to Peggy, whose smile and positivity are truly contagious; she made us feel at home and even taught us a bit of Greek — Efharisto! 🇬🇷 The baker chef Vasilis and the pastry chef Dimitris also deserve recognition for their creations: pastries and desserts stand out for both variety and flavor. Where else could you enjoy a panettone (better than many in Italy!) by the sea in August? Brilliant! Our thanks as well to the entire Gaia team and its manager Kostas, and last but not least, to Jessica for her caring and thoughtful attention throughout our stay. Already looking forward to coming back again!

Exciting Holidays for Everyone

Surrounded by clear blue waters, Zakynthos (or Zante) is the 3rd largest island in the Ionian Sea, named after the son of Dardanus. This green island features mountain villages, fertile plains and gorgeous beaches.

Zakynthos was destroyed after the Great Earthquake of 1953 and rebuilt according to an anti-seismic code. Some of the buildings which were not damaged are St. Dionysios Cathedral, the National Bank and the church of St. Nicholas.

The island has one of the most famous Greek attractions - the spectacular Navagio Beach. Accessible only by boat, the 'Shipwreck' is an isolated beach with white pebbles and turquoise waters.

Set amongst olive groves and vineyards, the tourist resort of Tsilivi is full of traditional taverns and bars. The beach village of Laganas is a real gem for young people that love clubbing and are looking for a hotel on the Strip, but also for families seeking a shallow beach and warm waters. The Caretta turtle visits Laganas beach during its reproductive period and lays its eggs on the soft, golden sand.

I chose this hotel based on recommendations in a Zakynthos Travel FB group. But reality was much above the reviews ! This hotel is really a secret diamond in Zakynthos! A quiet place for relax with full of friendship. The hotel is in Kalamaki, just right next to the nicest beach in Zakynthos (nesting beach, if you're lucky, you can see baby turtles), and 10 minutes on foot to the local shops and restaurants. There is 1 more little shop in the street (open between 10-17), where you can buy necessary things. The neighbourhood is extremely quiet, great for relax. Airport is 5 minutes by car, so you can see airplanes landing and taking off - for me it was great experience because I love them. Airplanes noise did not bother at all, because in the night there is no airplane traffic. Our room was big, comfortable and spotless clean (a nice lady refreshed it every day), with very good aircon and wifi, and with a big terrace. The hotel has 3 pools (one for only adults!), with lots of sunbeds. We paid HB and enjoyed 5* breakfast and dinner every day. Dinner is different every night (includes specialities e.g. Mediterrean, Asian, Italian, Greek), and it was so delicious that we gained extra kilos during this week. We also tried the pool bar for lunch, the food was really fine for reasonable price. And at the end the most important thing : this hotel is so great because great people works there. I could rarely meet so nice and helpful staff, who did their best to make the guests' holiday beautiful. I would like to thank them for all their efforts! Our holiday could not have been better. I hope I can come back one day. Just following the hotel's slogan : I arrived as guest, left as friend and come back as family member.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, thanks to the two special hosts who made sure that nothing was missing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The hotel is positioned in a charming location, which correctly qualifies it as a boutique hotel (also has a stunning view of the sea). The impeccable daily cleaning (spotless room), the breakfast buffet (particularly impressive, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options) and the extraordinary kindness of the entire hotel staff perfectly complete the notion of a hard to forget stay. Needless to say, we will return here again with great pleasure.

The fact that we have received bottled water for free almost everyday was a big plus. Also, we had sanitary items like toothbrush and toothpaste, even a razor blade. The room was cleaned everyday and it smelled so good!

The town of Zante is lively with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The beaches and water are amazing. Most offer sun beds with amenities to spend the day. Boat trips to caves and swimming spots are a must!

We enjoyed our week stay here although dead centre Laganas beach is not the prettiest if you are look for long stretches of sand! However there are so many nearby choices and the island is easy to travel around on. Even a "hike" lol to the nearby Turtle Island is manageable but you have to get there early as it is a tiny beach (obviously as it is within the sanctuary and there is a EU6 to enter) worth a visit though. Laganas has plenty of friendly cafes restaurants etc. It definitely is a Tourist Town but not as chaotically busy and crowded as Zante and further afield (Sept). We were devastated by the TRASH everywhere though. That is shocking and something the municipality really needs to address. If you can get past that, Laganas is a quaint tourist town with plenty to offer and a VERY HAPPENING night life 😉🎶

Too busy with British tourists, lacks nice restaurants and the beaches are a long way away from most of the hotels. Vasilikos much nicer all-round and we even preferred Laganas over Tsilivi even though that was super busy as well with drunken teenagers. Water park was meh also.

Calm and very nice area.

Calm and very nice area. Close to the sea, perfect for relaxation, away from the crowds. The only thing i do not like, but this is not related to this specific area, are the roads. The roads can be very bad, and if you navigate using google maps or waze, you'll definitely end up on narrow roads.

An abundance of Restaurants of many denominations, plus plenty of themed bars for drinks, all within walking distance, just perfect!!! The whole place is relaxed, happy, and just such a good place to be, a perfect location to unwind and enjoy after a few months hard slog at home. Or, a great location to hit the bars and live the high life, your choice, a fantastic location for singles, couples, groups and families alike, Kalamaki has just about everything, for everyone, and everyone is just so friendly; what a place to live, never mind just holiday!!!

Volimes is a old tipical village in the centre of Zakinthos island. Many building are destroied and uninhabited, but the accomodations for tourists are very nice and confortable. People are very kind and nice. You can see a beautiful sunset from the village.

There are lots of places to eat and drink in the town as well as a variety of shops. The town is very accessible from the airport and ferry port. There is a town beach within easy walking distance. It's easy to explore the island from here as the bus station and the tourist train are here.

A lovely town - definitely tourist central (main source of income) but there is so much more than "downtown" madness lol - Take a long walk to Turtle Island (go early to get your spot on the small beach, entrance fee of around Euro6). Hike the side roads admiring the olive trees and farm animals. Rent a quad or car and explore further afield. Tour pickups are readily available. The food, coffee and drinks are delicious and within reason depending on what you care to spend - LOVED the icecream cafe close to the beach and there is a delightful European Bakery to enjoy fresh cream or chocolate yummies. Almost everyone is friendly - like everywhere, if you smile and 'ask" courteously, in return you will receive a positive response! A week is a good stop - 10days if you are wanting to spend more time lounging on the northern beaches. A worthwhile happy stop :)

If you like to be in the center of the action (restaurants, bars, night life), Tsilivi is a good spot. If you are searching for something more relaxed, i advise to search for other locations in the island. Tsilivi is probably the best basis to visit all the rest of the island, very centered, but we were looking for a more relaxed and less"touristic" area.
