The room was very tastefull and spacious, with a small balcony, amazing view on the vikos gorge, a king size bed (on the hard side), and a fireplace (incl wood). The internet connection in the room was strong. Tha spa was open until 20:00 without time limitation, providing access to kids too, until 15.00. Highly appreciated for new parents! The sauna was nice and strong, the internal swimming pool was heated and the jacuzzi provided pure relaxation with the amazing view of Vikos. The most exciting part of the spa, was the oil massage, which was strong enough to relax the thigh muscles, excellent! The breakfast was amazing and locally inspired. Natural orange juice and cappuccino/latte machiato were included. The restaurant had very tasty menu (some plates were quite small though) and a nice selection of wines. Activities such as rafting or hiking are in close distance

A great scenic place in Zagori - an ideal base for exploring the area. There is so much to see. Nice clean room, extremely helpful staff. A young host ( do not know her name) spoke fluent English and was very helpful including arranging ice for my wife's injury and suggesting walks in the area. A massive delicious breakfast will keep you going for many hours. Jacuzzi with great views was was a nice place to relax after long hikes.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay in an authentically restored 17th century residence. The rooms were beautifully presented & very comfortable. George was very welcoming & hospitable not only providing delicious home baked breakfast & wine from his vineyard but also great advice to the many walks & sights of the Zagori region. We had a very enjoyable stay & look forward to returning soon. A destination highly recommended.

A warm and welcoming home with friendly, positive people. The Christmas atmosphere was wonderful, peaceful and away from the city noise, yet still close to Ioannina. Very convenient location, near all the villages of Central Zagori. The room was lovely, warm, simple, and comfortable. Everything was great. I would only suggest adding brioche for breakfast. Overall, an excellent stay and highly recommended.

It is such a gorgeous, rustic village with the most...

It is such a gorgeous, rustic village with the most incredible mountain views. Great walks to Mikro Papingo via the Papingo water pools. And of course, there are plenty of other walking trails (which we did not do) In the evening, there are wonderful restaurants available for delicious local cuisine. We were there during off-season so the restaurants open were limited but still found great options. During high season, there are lots of cafes and restaurants catering to tourists! We only stayed for one night but you can definately stay longer if you like being in nature. Papingo was one of our highlights of our Northern Greece trip.... so beautiful!

Great hotel clean and has an awesome view. The breakfast is great and healthy, the food also at the restaurant is great pricy though but worth it! The room is comfortable the heating is great and the wellness center is a must to visit and book a massage. A car is a must to be able to go around as most sightseeing destinations and activity are far away.

Monodendri is located at the upper end and above the Vicos Gorge and has a lot to offer in addition to a number of good restaurants and charming hotels. With beautiful hikes in and around the gorge, the Agios Paraskevi monastery and its own historical buildings, you can experience quiet and relaxing days away from the main tourist crowds.

Kipoi is a very quaint little village with 2-3 restaurants and thats it. It was easily accessible to the Zagori region close to the most famous bridges and main towns and the unbelievable Vikos Gorge which you have to visit, we went to the Óxya viewpoint which was amazing . A very beautiful area to visit but a very long drive from Athens especially if you come on one of the smaller roads, rather use the highway to get to the area then adventure around, we took a small road and spent half a day driving through forests with nothing to see. The map of Zagori that the hotel gave us was a great help Monodendri is one of the larger villages worth visiting - if you like to hike take your time and follow the tails that range from 1 to 5 or so km from the various bridges it is so peaceful and the forest beautiful. Once you have seen the top 5-6 bridges and 2-3 villages it all becomes the same so don't stay too long if you aren't walking. Beware...... not all villages have fuel so don't run too low

A pretty and quiet area.

A pretty and quiet area. There is not much in Vista but the next village is only a 5 minute drive with a few restaurants and cafes. I would say you definitely need a car if staying in Vitsa. Some lovely scenery and walks within driving distance.

Ideal location for a mountain escape but the village as a location overstays its welcome after 2-3 days. If one would like to stay longer as I did you should used as a basis to visit Metsobo Ioannina Konnitsa and Kalpaki. the nature is breathtaking truly amazing especially in the winter when it shows. The road is relatively OK but needs attention especially during foggy days. The two churces in mikro and megalo pappigo are unique historic and archritectural monuments but as unfortunately closed most of the year. It is definitely a unique location for winter holidays Something like the Greek Mount Rushmore but (without the sculpted heads)

This is a superb base for exploring Zagori.

This is a superb base for exploring Zagori. It is easily accessible from Ioannina and very much a 'hub' from which you can choose which area of Zagori you want to visit. The Resort is extremely well designed with rooms in dispersed small groups, and has every facility you may need - pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc. The buildings blend into the surroundings and we were serenaded by Nightingales with stunning views over the mountains. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with coffee maker, kettle, bottled water and fridge. Beds are comfortable and the nights quiet. They are also well designed for winter with large radiators and open fires. There is very helpful information about suggested itineraries and the Resort can organise guided expeditions - photography, fishing, Meteora etc. The staff are welcoming and the food is well beyond expectation, with original dishes using locally produced ingredients - truly 5 Star dining.

A family hotel in a lovely village, in my opinion the most worthwhile place in Zagoria. We stayed at the hotel for four nights; Sofia and her two sons, Christos and Theodore were charming, made us feel at home. Spacious rooms, excellent service, generous breakfast. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant with a selection of excellent and delicious dishes. And most importantly, it's their humanity and caring. warmly recommended!
