It is a very nice apartment in Akrotiri about 20 min drive from Fira. The apartment has all you need and the view of the sea. Hosts Georgia and Margarita are very friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and tips. Very good restaurants are nearby. Really recommendable for guests who have a rental car on Santorini.

The hotel is positioned in one of the best location points of Oia. It has an amazing view on the Caldera and each suite has its own view and terrace. My husband and I have spent a whole week, to celebrate my birthday: in the first 5 days we have been given a suite called "Athena" (all suites have been named after ancient greek gods or goddes) which had an amazing balcony and a hot tub. The view was unbelievable. The last 3 days we have been upgraded to a pool villa called "the white house" which was absolutely stunning, with a big terrace with a table and an hammock overlooking the caldera and a private pool with warm water. As the room, the terrace and the pool were so beautiful, we basically spent the last two days there! The restaurant of Andronis is positioned on the top of a rock which provides a unique location to have breakfast or dine with a full view of the caldera. The breakfast menu is very rich and provides a big variety of choices, and is well served both at the table in the restaurant terrace or, as we have tried some times, in your suite outdoor table. As well the hotel pool is nice and relaxing with enough space to host all the residents. The entire Andronis staff, nobody excluded, from reception to restaurant, to bar, to houskeeping, has been professional, kind, always available: the system of making any request via whatsapp simplified a lot all the organization of our stay, suggesting us the different options of possible activities, making bookings, suggesting the best restaurants where to dine and managing all the reservations taking care we always had the best table! The morning of my birthday I have also got a nice (and super-good) birthday cake!!! I will keep Santorini, Oia and the Andronis as one of the best memories of my life.

We are leaving after 6 days at the Majestic Hotel. I must tell you about the excellent treatment we received at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with chilled cherry juice, the hotel manager Elleny came to introduce herself. The charming Anastasios accompanied us until we settled into the rooms for the weeks we wanted. Spacious and comfortable rooms were arranged for us since there were very elderly and disabled people with us. The treatment was excellent, and always with a smile and willingness to help as best they could. We received everything we asked for, even if it was late. The breakfast is great, there is everything you need and more. The waiters Doretta and Shamir always ask and are interested in whether you need anything else. I have been to many hotels in the world and have never experienced such personal and good treatment. If you can give a score higher than 10, then they definitely deserve it. The lifeguard at the pool, Nikos, is very kind and always asks and is interested in the guests. The girls at the reception Mariam&Sindi are so cheerful and help as best they can. The pool area is very nice as well.

The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming The food is tasty, and they have variety of options You have access to a mini market right opposite the hotel so you can get all the things that you need like water , food, snacks, shampoo etc.... The location of the hotel is perfect because you are not in the middle of the crowded areas like Thira or Oia yet you can easily reach there by the nearby bus stop or by car . It will not take much time. Imerovigli has the best restaurants and views in all santorini The hotel has 2 lifts to help in minimizing the use of the steps going up and down. You still need to use stairs but not as much

Most amazing experience. Was upgraded to a spectacular suite overlooking the ocean with a private pool and jucuzzi. The morning sunrise was the most spectacular I have ever seen!! Bottle of wine was also in the room. I felt like I was on my honeymoon. Such a lovely gift from Spendour Resort that truly made such a memorable time on Santorini. Unexpected and a gesture I shall never forget. Such nice people.

Fira and Oia are the heart of Santorini and both spectacular...

Fira and Oia are the heart of Santorini and both spectacular. Fira has more to offer in terms of restaurants and shops, but Oia is even more picturesque and unique. I was happy to have stayed in Fira given its more centralized location, but it would be tragic to stay here and not also spend some time in Oia. Keep in mind that both towns are built on very steep and uneven terrain. While the main shopping lanes are relatively level, many hotels and other businesses require significant physical effort to access, so choose your accommodations with this in mind if you have any mobility issues.

Oia is all about the view. Spectacular. It is packed with tourists for a well deserved reason. It is totally touristy, expensive, but we can overlook that and the crowds because of that view. Finikia, just adjacent is much quieter. Still, Oia is Oia, only one. Very much recommend Roka restaaurant.

Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded. One day 6 cruise ships in Port. We ate 2 nights at Romantica taverna. Traditional Greek restaurant, good food and happy staff. Easy to walk around in you don't mind stairs and uphill. Walk from Fira to Oia 10km, something to do and overview of area.

Fira was amazing. It was my favorite place in Greece. You can try to avoid the crowds by not going there during the season. The best time for me is October and November. Although some restaurants might be closed for the season, the crowds were much lower than usual. I got to walk on the alleys quietly and peacefully. I can admire the sunsets in tranquility. We spent 3 nights at Fira, and I feel that it was a perfect stay.

We loved staying in Oia, mid October had perfect weather! The crowds were not too bad expect for when the cruise ships came in, we avoided the town from 10am to around 1:00pm, evenings during the sunsets it gets crowded but it worth it to watch the sun go down, the sky lights up and is so beautiful, you can't miss it. Schedule a catamaran or private boat cruise, we highly recommend getting on the water to see it from the sea. Great shops and restaurants, you have to have the gelato at Lolita's, it's the best I've ever had!

We put a lot of thought into the location. We deemed Oia too busy and crowded and Fira as possibly too noisy. Imeroviglia was our ultimate choice and it turned out to be the right one; the best views, great places to stay, delicious restaurants nearby. We would recommend it to anyone who wanted a second (or first) honeymoon. It was that magical.

Even at the end of the season, the main town of Fira was overcrowded with cruise ship visitors every day, and had some very high prices in the shops and restaurants. Firostefani is only a mile from Fira centre with good communications but is less crowded and (slightly) less expensive. There are plenty of restaurants in Firostefani, the two I liked best were Onar and Aktaion. Also there was a good, reasonably priced take-away called Why Not. Firostefani (and many areas of Santorini) has small mini-markets but no good supermarket. Anyone self-catering would find food shopping expensive and with limited choices. My hotel (Villa Ilias) like many others in Firostefani had spectacular views over the caldera.

Lovely village but getting very busy.

Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Greece is not cheap these days so you have to pay the same as in UK for meals etc. Wine is very expensive but nice to see that they only sell Greek wine in supermarkets and restaurants.
