We were met on the doorstep and greeted warmly. All through our very difficult journey we got replies to our messages by return. The room was simple but very comfortable as well as quiet. The view from the large hotel terrace was amazing. We had an excellent home cooked meal of simple local food cooked skilfully and tasting delicious. Our host was attentive to every detail at all times and very kind. She planned our route and visits to the best sites and she even hosed down our muddy car!

Beautiful! Room was comfy, bed was super comfortable, shower was great. The view from our balcony was drop dead gorgeous! And from the room we could see the sunrise. Loved Monemvasia....something profound about walking in the old town on top. Thank you for all the help with the luggage and the super friendly welcome. I love this place, this hotel and its staff! Every time I come here from a big noisy city, full of stress and work, to recover in this paradise. Everything is provided for this: excellent comfortable rooms with a view of the beautiful sea, a sandy clean beach, always clear pure water without jellyfish and other sea troubles, comfortable and soft sun loungers and snow-white towels, wonderful blue pools, friendly and welcoming staff (professionals work here!) and healing magical nature: sand, pine trees, flowers, olive trees... This is a place where everything is thought out and nothing irritates. The room has everything: a coffee machine and a kettle, huge mirrors and a small mirror for applying cosmetics - exactly at the level you need, a large bathroom, a huge balcony, where it is so nice to relax in the shade on a hot afternoon. By the way, there are many families with children of all ages here, but you will not hear them on the beach: all the children frolic all day in the water park on the other side, so the beach itself is perfectly quiet. Separate, but very important, attention should be paid to the SPA complex - it is wonderful! In a couple of massage sessions, you will again become happy and balanced, your body will become light, as if you were no more than 17 years old. The best are lymph massage by Christina and classic massage with oils by Marcella - these are wonderful masters. I also definitely recommend you hydromassage in a pool with sea water with Zeta (Georgia). You will receive colossal fun, especially if you are together with a partner or a friends! Finally, I would like to write about the food: there are excellent cooks here! You will get everything you want: the most delicious dishes and huge selection - everything fresh and everything unusually delicious! You will eat heartily, but you will not gain weight, because there is a great balance of healthy and quality food. Overall, it's a magical place and I recommend it without any hesitation.

Spacious hotel with nice location, the rooms are clean, some traces of wearing out of interior are present but they are not  crucial. Apart from spa and indoor swimming pool nearby there is a playground on the open air, families with children will like it. Beach is across the street, morning and evening walks are a must. As we travelled during low season we were nicely amazed by the services, the restaurant was open for dinner (apart from breakfast) and we could enjoy tasty food. The sizes of the portions were another nice surprise, they exceeded our expectations a lot. During breakfast you may also order types of eggs you prefer (omelette, scrambled eggs) and taste local specialties. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Our stay in Fotini’s home was AMAZING!!!!

Our stay in Fotini’s home was AMAZING!!!! The home is well appointed, gorgeous, and offers every convenience and amenity. We had a gorgeous sea view. To the old town, it is a 10-minute walk along the sea to great restaurants. We were able to park our car on the property. We took trips to Epidavrous one day and Mycenae the next, returning in the afternoons to enjoy a glass of wine and a nap on one or the three the fabulous balconies. There was room darkening shades and shutters to provide for a quiet sleep. Fotini, our lovely host, even provided fresh oranges and clementines and an electric juicer. She was kind enough to pick me up at the bus and take me the two-story town home.

Patra is a town full of University students that makes it a very live, fun town. There is a great balance of nightlife, city culture, sea and country experiences available. The Castle on the top of the hill is a must see as is the Roman Odeon. The best was walking down the main strip on a Friday night. The city was alive with people having a fabulous night out. Shopping, cafes and restaurants galore. Make sure you go when the Universities are running as you may have a very different experience.

Kalamata is a well organized city with parks in the middle of downtown. Great for families with young children. Several cultural events take place i.e. we attended a documentary festival. The part of the city by the sea has its own life. During the olive picking period, it attracts many of the olive grove owners, who do not necessarily reside in Kalamata. The city is very friendly to visitors.Public parking in the middle of the city provides convenient parking.

The town is a tourist base.

The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that. The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.

Dimitsana is an old, picturesque village with a beautifully preserved charm. Coming from the city and being used to busier places, I found it very peaceful and quiet. There isn’t a lot to do, but they've organised a cute village centre. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway, and there’s also a lovely hiking route nearby for those who enjoy exploring nature. Something to keep in mind is the fact that google can fail you in terms of information on which restaurants or other establishments are open and at what times, but when in doubt, you can always ask the welcoming locals.
