PolandWe liked the location the most. The apartment is by the road and on the other side is the sea. The nearest beach is 20m from the apartment. And the shop is 5 minutes walk. The owner of the house is always available. She lives in the same building. And we had her phone number available and told us to call in any matter. The apartment was very clean. There were fresh towels and we could exchange them for fresh ones at any time. There is access to WiFi. Mini garden with a shower and a terrace where you can eat breakfast and admire the view of the sea and the port. There is also a bike rental and a bus stop nearby from which you can go to other beaches. We rested and are very happy with the vacation. Greetings to Mrs. Elena. The shower was amazing, and there was plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Really comfortable beds and linen and our rooms were spotlessly clean. Lovely location just a perfect short distance from the beach and shops but quiet too. Very kind and attentive owners. It was the nicest apartment we have ever stayed in in Greece. We all loved it and would happily return, for longer!

Our hosts, Katerina and Kostas, were exceptional in their hospitality. We directly felt like family. Everything exceeded our expectations. They welcomed us with generosity and kindness. They offered to move us to a bigger apartment without extra charges as there was space. Sunrise studios were perfectly clean and super comfortable. Nothing was missing.The view from the apartment was simply amazing! We highly recommend this place and already know that if we visit again, that's where we will stay surely.Thank you again!

Very hospitable personnel, really nice and warmly welcoming. The hotel is very cozy and beautiful, rooms are clean and the view from the balcony is fantastic. Located near the ferry station but in a very quiet place. Beach is in closest proximity to the hotel. Restaurant at the hotel offers great food and drinks. The worker I ecountered was very pleasant, morning presso coffee to the doorcoffee was great (2€) and she helped me while a had a heatstroke and called a doctor. I got the room for an extra night because I coul not leave. In may the place is peaceful and the view from the balcony and patios were amazing (mountais, threes, sea.

a lovely quiet little villiabge, hugging the coastline with...
a lovely quiet little villiabge, hugging the coastline with spectacular sunsets and beaches. Plenty of options for food and refreshments, and some shops for holiday essentials. Easy drive to the end of the island (Only really one road) to beautiful beaches with beach bars and loungers and easy parking.
Skala has a jetty catering for the various ferries plus visiting yachts. the beach is great for swimming - soft white sand, with no rocks or weeds, shelving very slowly.

Extremely clear and warm waters!
Extremely clear and warm waters! The island is generally green! Overall the location has everything you need, such as several restaurants and bars, however it does not have many bank services for withdrawing money!

Megalochori is a small village, Noima Hotel where we stayed was opposite the beach. There is a promenade right on the beach for early morning walks or jogging. The port is 3 minutes walk away, so we didn't need a taxi or a car to move around. You can rent motorbikes, bicycles and you can go round the island. There is an efficient and prompt bus service which takes you to the two famous beaches of the island (Dragonera and Aponisos). Both worth a day's visit and the sea is unbelievably clear and inviting.

Having regularly visited the island of Agistri for day-trips...
Having regularly visited the island of Agistri for day-trips in the past, last year we decided to stay at Skala for 3 nights. Our hotel at that time, although very good, was very near restaurants and bars which made it rather noisy.
This year we stayed for 4 nights and opted for a guest house a little further away from the main area of Skala. Our choice proved most suitable to us.
There are several hotels and guest houses. Skala has a wide range of restaurants, cafes & bars and those we visited based on web reviews proved to be very good. All restaurants have music (thankfully not all with loud volume). There is also a superb bakery, with a good barista service too!
The main beach (sandy) is very pleasant.
Frequent ferry service to nearby island of Aegina and port of Piraeus.
As we were leaving in late June, it felt as if the island overall has become increasingly popular (it certainly does not appear to have affected the overall experience of the place) and anyone wishing for a more relaxed stay might prefer to visit during the shoulder season, then again that applies to most places!

I really loved this side of Agistri, honestly, when we had to pack up and move to a new room in Skala,I was sad. I really enjoyed the quiet, tranquil setting of Megalochori. Do yourself a favor and book a trip with Kristos on the Jaimaca boat tour, it was a fabulous experience. He also plays the Bazookie exceptionally well. It was incredible to see the shipwreck he takes you to and lunch in Methana was perfect. Can’t say enough about it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had on this side of Megalochori.
